Absolutely terrible service ordered the meal online through the website and received email confirmation after 1 hour 15 rang to be told they hadn’t received the order then told ahhh yes it’s here but it’ll take another 15 mins plus delivery. Absolutely shocking!!!

Ordered a takeaway at 5pm and it arrived 2 hours 10 minutes later after several phone calls. Online order advised of 45 minutes till delivery. After an hour I was told be with me In 10 minutes due to traffic problems. Then another 25 minutes told it was five minutes away! Eventually it came. It was the delivery drivers first delivery of the evening!! Food was very nice but shame about the poor service I received! won’t be ordering again. When is said I wasn’t happy with service I was offered money off the next time I order! We were on holiday so this was no use to me at all!

Friday night visit, early evening until 9pm and during that time, we were the only people in there! The restaurant is tatty and bodged-up in places. Chairs are very rickety! The food is OK but not good. Bring your own booze keeps the cost down but not so good for cold drinks.

What else can I say.... The staff are great and the food is excellent, even the style of the menu is appealing. A liitle hidden gem ! We have only just tried the takeout food and cant wait to try dining in. The garlic nan is best ever and the Lamb tikka madras and chicken Bhuna were tasty, vibrant in colour and all fresh. Even the egg pillau had proper fresh scrambled eggs in it. The chicken chatt (with extra heat at my request) was the best one I've had and the sauces with the pompodoms were lovely and thick and not watered down Please dont expand and go to big as this may spoil it. Stay as you are, the place and food is fab Well done Ps.... The staff are funny, welcoming and super friendly Gold stars all round

We went here for a lads curry night... the waiter was a good laugh joining in with our banter... fair play to him as we were quite loud. We had the mixed kebab starter and bhajis with a couple of popadoms each... very nice. I had the lamb bhuna with rice and chips... also very nice... the tikka naan was a bit dry though and burnt on the underside... You can take your own drink which saves you a fortune... this place is well worth a visit... 4 stars

Having used a local curry house in the area for years i have had Spice Garden recommended to me by a neighbour for years- time to try it i told Joanne and Dave.. The staff are so friendly and helpful with dishes and even popped a sample in my order for a sauce to try in future... The Lamb (mutton) Makhani was superb as was the chicken chatt9 next time i askl for a slice of lemon with this) Nut pilau rice superb and staff cant count popadoms as i was given too many-lol All in all i will now change to this being my local- and try the sit in restaurant for the craic and great food- but alcohol to be taken in as no licence--cheers Mark

Have visited several times and every time the food has been excellent. Chicken tikka jalfrazi is to die for. Very reasonable price. I would say best Indian in the area.

The food is outstanding here, it is spiced for flavour not for heat so don't be frightened to try something new. The service is unbelievable. If you don't know Sami when you go in, you will when you come out. We've been twice now and both times were memorable. Spice garden does not serve alcohol so if you want some take it with you. They do sell soft drinks at very reasonable prices. I can't recommend Spice Garden Winlaton enough, it's a hidden gem that's worth seeking out.

The food is absolutely delicious. I had the best mixed kebab I have ever had. The meat quality is superb. My curry was absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. You must take your own alcoholic beverages, but this just keeps the bill down and they do not even charge a corkage. We were recommended to go by our family members and we were not disappointed. Great night and we will definitely become regulars...

I know sami from his days at my local place so decided to give his new place a try. Very high standard food quick delivery and decent prices. Wide range of dishes on the menu and if he doesn't have it let him know . Will be calling up for a sit down meal in the future.

What a hidden gem, does'nt have a bar but take your own drinks. Sami was a star, looked after us really well. For a Thursday Night the place was really busy which suggest the quality of food is excellent and it was. Great atmosphere, great food and really friendly staff, typical North east welcome was fantastic

Although now weekly visitors to the Rajnagar in Fenham which Sami helped establish as a first class restaurant, we ventured across the river to see him in the Spice Garden. And it was well worth the effort. Sami is as sparkling as ever and the chef creates delicious food. A perfect combination. Many thanks. While it's hardly our 5 minute walk to our local Rajnagar we will be making pilgrimages to Winlaton in the future.

Many moons ago my wife and myself were welcomed into Spice Garden Winlaton and have come to feel more like family than simply customers. That is but one of its charms. We have, over the years, introduced so many friends and family to this gem of a restaurant and none have ever expressed disappointment. The menu offers a fantastic selection of starters to choose from, whilst tucking into your popadom and pickle selection. Some of our favourites include Chilli Chat (or the Naga version if you're feeling adventurous), Chicken Pakora and their Special Mixed Kebab.Their mains vary from Tikka and Tandoori dishes to a fantastic selection of curries of varying degrees of hotness, each with its own distinctive flavours. On our last visit my wife decided on the Chicken Tikka Dhansak, a lentil based curry with wonderful sweet and sour flavours, and I opted for the Chicken Tikka Tindaloo, with its subtle tangs of tamarind. We shared the House Special Pilau, a portion of Spicy Chips and a Naga Nan.As always, the food never fails to delight! From their warm welcome, great food and attentive team, I cannot recommend Spice Garden Winlaton enough!Did I mention they do takeaway as well as sit-in?If you love Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine, this is the place for you!

It is Saturday night so was expecting a long delivery time, but the food arrived fast and super hot. Delivery driver was lovely. Chips were 10/10. Curry (chicken tikka jalfrezi) was very tasty but I’d have liked it to be hotter spice-wise. Delicious though. Constructive criticism - keema naan although light and fresh was lacking in filling. Will definitely be back though!!

Terrible food and cappucino didn't even taste like coffee, fried egg over cooked wasn't even dippy and bacon undercooked, wouldn't recommend.

One missing Nan and the Korai was extremely oily to the point it had to be drained out in the sink before eating it
