The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

Good food, really good portion sizes and good value for money. We had the meat thali and cheesy chips and would definitely recommend. The portion was more than enough for 2 people and the lamb bhuna was especially good. The masala sauce was s bit thin and not quite as good as Delaval tandoori but still perfectly fine. Really good service (much quicker than others in the area. Was cash only as didn't have a card machine.

Food was delicious. The people that work there were very pleasant. Such a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back . Thank you.

Went there tonight for my sons 50th birthday. Extra people had to be catered for but they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Had the most fabulous tasty meal. The waiters were absolutely great and I think he was called Acktar was very accommodating and brilliant at his job. All in all a fabulous night. They came out with the cake and flaming candles. Thank you so much he doesn't like to go to many places since he had his stroke but he loved it

Beautiful food, authentic vibe, great waiting staff. Our new favourite place to visit on South Shields curry mile. Great place.

Just ordered from here we're very good regular customers but won't be spending another shilling with these, delivery driver slavering at the Mrs because he hasn't a clue about using Google maps to find out address in Eldon lane and it's our fault for wrong address details?? Idiot had the postcode same as the system has for god knows how long!!! We'll go elsewhere from now on!!!!

Amazing place for a quick bite!

Top notch Indian food. Not swimming in oil or water like other places. Just delicious. Jalfrezi was a delight.

Poor food quality (meat added to sauce cooked separately, resulting in dry and unseasoned meat in the sauces of both dishes), and odd portions! (3x as much rice as curry?). Wouldn't come back.

Good food at reasonable prices, service was good but the young waiter needs to put a smile on his face.

Came here last night (25.04.25) for my boyfriends birthday on the Curry Train. From start to finish it was fantastic. Lovely attentive staff & great food! Thank you all :)! Will definitely be returning for my birthday in June.

I've used Bombay Barn for years now. But after tonights service I'll not be using them again. Placed order at 7.30 and after a number of phone calls and being told order is with the driver and it wouldnt long. It turned up just after 10pm. Just warm and not very nice. But they did sent a free bottle of pop.

Usually good food but paid 18.50 for a takeaway and chicken madras had 5 bits of chicken in never again proper waste of money stay away
