I thought that I would use this Bangladeshi takeaway as it is opened recently. The takeaway does all of the ‘usuals’ however there are dishes that I haven’t tried before. So I ordered the Modhu Lamb which is chunks of Lamb with honey and mint mixed with baby new potatoes in a sauce. Wow what a tasty dish it is, superb. The other dish that I’ve never had is Niramish which is fried mixed vegetables with herbs. Another tasty dish. I also had a Keema Nan and mushroom pilau rice. I thought that on a very busy Saturday evening that I would be waiting ages but the food was ready and brought out to me within 10 minutes, so very happy with the service. Anokha has all the ‘usuals’ but also authentic Bangladeshi dish’s. The service was very good, the food was superb and plentiful and the prices very reasonable.

We have been happy customers of Shampaan for many years now. Having tried all of the rival establishments in the local area I can accurately say this is the best. The staff are courteous and attentive and the food is always fresh and flavourful. We alternate regularly between dine-in and takeaway for our weekly takeout treat.

Food and the service were outstanding. I went with my work colleagues, we had a great time. I ordered monkfish curry, and it was the most delicious fish curry I've ever tasted.

Ordered a takeaway from here, all of the food had no flavour whatsoever, could have easily spent our money on a much nicer flavoursome indian. Will not be ordering again

Food is ok but they always miss things off your order. So frustrating so won't be ordering again.

Went for a sunday buffet, food was bland and tasteless, wouldnt give clean plates so had to scrape unwanted food onto a plate in the middle of the table, ordered kids 3 cokes wich were poured from a bottle wich was flat, the kids didn't say anything so i only relised when i had a sip 2 large cokes £9.00, front of house man was rude when asked to remove cost of drinks....wont be going back anytime soon

Usually I have had positive experiences at voujon but tonight I waited an hour and a half with poor feedback from staff. I had to ask repeatedly to place an order and was not the only impatient diner, with all the surrounding tables unhappy with their service. I hope I caught voujon on a bad day, because it seems the staff were under the influence of some kind of opioid. Very disappointed.

Tried to do a £70 order for delivery, they declined it twice with no reason didn’t answer the phone when we called up not happy with the service of the restaurant and now will no be ordering from here again.

Probably the best dinner I’ve had this year! Excellent as always. Would recommend to anyone if they asked for my favourite to go to in Thurrock
