This is a very good place. Have come from slough and have decided to try a new place in London Essex and I must say the food here is outstanding. Mamu is the best waiter in Essex.

Lovely restaurant with really friendly and very hospitable. Very attentive and a nice quick service with very good portions of food and very reasonably priced. Also our waiter Mamun was very nice and served us extremely well.

Takeaways are a real treat for families these days and a takeaway costing just under £75 is not cheap. Unfortunately, it will be a long time before we order from here again as we found that the curries were very watery and tasteless and I couldn't say that any of us enjoyed it which is very disappointing considering what we could have used that money for.

Really good Indian food, definitely the best Indian (not Bangladeshi) restaurant for miles around. Service was impeccable and friendly. The ambience was calm and relaxing. Prices are very reasonable for the generous portions of high quality food. Will return for sure, with more of the family! 👍👏😋

Went last night service was very slow considering was not very busy for a Saturday night. Food was good as always. One dish I had before this came with chillis which I did not want. Was given dessert menu waited ages no one came to us so just ask for the bill. Was offered free complimentary drink before leaving.

This was the first time using this restaurant and we had a delivery. The food was Amazing. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will definitely be using it again. Thank you.

One of the best restaurant in grays

I definitely wouldn't recommend the New Delhi Restaurant to no one! We ordered a takeaway from here after reading the reviews but also because the restaurant had received awards for their food. What a disappointment, hence the 1 star and that's only because there wasn't a no star rating. The food was really bad the worse Indian food my partner and I have ever eaten. All our currys tasted the same, very watery and very bland. Our sheek kebab was rock hard, tasteless the samosa was soggy and tasted awful. They did throw a freebie in with our order, a few onion bharji's but I wish that they hadn't of bothered. They were inedible, they were the size of a tennis ball and were as hard as rock, we've never seen anything like it. The best thing we had in our delivery was the plastic containers with our currys in. In future I'd rather pay the extra in taxi fares and go and collect my takeaway from Village Indiya the best Indian food by far!

Been ordering here for years and was looking forward to a lovely meal however tonight the Paratha was raw. Curry was watery and even after spending 25+ can no longer give you free poppadoms with your meal . Will not be ordering again

Had the mixed balti tonight,i do try differant every week this was the best ive had in at least 5 years,service os always second to none.get yourself down there!.

Recommended by a friend as being really good, so no idea what happened Monday night, prawn on puree was running in oil and neither sweet or tangy. King prawn pathia was fair but a bit salty and over use of chilli powder rather than fresh chilli somewhat spoiled it, mushroom rice again had to much oil, Tarka dall was tasty but again too much salt. Worse of all was next morning when the New Delhi really had its revenge 😞. Symptoms would indicate poor personal hygiene by the chef or people prepping.

I took a fried here and unfortunately the food was very poor, the amount of salt used was ridiculous. The following day we both had very bad stomach problems. Would definitely not eat there again.

Our first visit for a very long time. Made a phone reservation for 7pm on a Saturday, although on arriving and during the meal the restaurant is so big it was probably unnecessary. The atmosphere was lively but not intrusive. Welcomed by staff at the door and shown a choice of tables. Drinks order taken soon afterwards. Although the drinks are not extensive they cover most types and styles. And, very reasonably priced. The food choices were varied and had good descriptions of what to expect. Mainly Bangladeshi origin, of which I was unfamiliar. However, the waiters came at just the right amount of time and space to take food orders and were extremely polite and attentive. On order of poppadoms and sides were delivered. The meal was delivered in attractive metal pots and bowls and piping hot. Overall the food was good, but found the chicken tikka biryani rice a little oily. But we’ll flavoured. The other dish a Shatkora chicken was a first for me and very tasty. Coupled with pilau mushroom rice was excellent. The onion bhajis were little dry, and potentially twice fried. But overall a great experience. Finished with mint ice cream, coffee and liqueurs. Would definitely recommend despite small shortfalls this time and understand why it gets such good reviews.

Really lovely atmosphere, great food and amazing service. Would really recommend the wings, Lamb Korai and Chicken Dansak. Also, obviously, the Naan.

I had an amazing 50th Birthday meal at New Delhi on Sunday. The staff are absolutely fantastic and they were very attentive e to myself and my guest. They could not do enough for us. No expense was spared on the decor, the atmosphere was just right. The staff were friendly, welcoming and looked after us well. The food was absolutley LUSH and reasonably priced. We got the hot refreshing wipes and even a complimentary brandy to top off an already lovely evening. A perfect experience really.

Curries you get are not what you ordered and if you complain the staff become angry and rude. AVOID.

Food is so delicious and the best Indian in this area plus everything here are reasonably priced. They serve with a smile all the time, so friendly nice people managing the restaurant. I asked the waiter how many peace in an onion Bhaji portion, his answer was 2 but you are three people and will bring you 3 pieces don't worry on us. Everything hygienic. This review has been submitted after 3 visits to this restaurant and having the same taste and service level each time.

Few days ago I went there with my friends I think this is the best restaurant in grays The Food is very exotic and mouth watery i recommend you try it Tandori chiken and Chicken garlic chilli mossala was best for me. The Service was very good and Environment was great we enjoyed the night very well.

If you're looking for authentic Indian food, Desi Indian Dining Club is the place to be! The dishes are flavorful and well-spiced, just like how it's supposed to be.

We usually use a different Indian restaurant for takeaway, but was disappointed the last time we ate there, so decided to try New Delhi. My mum who is usually extremely fussy, couldn’t stop raving on about the food she had. Everything we had ordered was delicious and had a good fresh taste to it! All the flavours were balanced and extremely tasty. This is now our new go to when we want Indian food.

I went there some days ago and eaten chicken tikka masala which was very delicious also there staff good behavior and this is very clean restaurant. I recommended everyone whos are food lover please go to this restaurant and taste your meal. Thanks

Dissappointing wait for delivery..1 and a half hours wait from place to Chafford Hundred..arrived cold..phoned told on the way clearly a lie and a ridiculous excuse for arriving so late.

Hands down, best Indian in Grays. Everything was bang on. Food was amazing, great quality, nice sizes and well priced. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend and will 100% being going there again.

Word of warning to all: the "10% discount for cash purchases" ONLY applies to orders placed online and then collected, NOT for orders phoned in, then collected (despite not mentioning this online or when phoning). So despite phoning in a huge order this evening, then saving them fuel & time delivering it by us going to pick it up, my girlfriend was told "no discount" when trying to collect and pay in cash. No apology when I phoned shortly after either, so sadly this is the last time they'll get an order from us.

Very delicious. The restaurant decoration is nice. I bought Chicken, lamb and King prawns biryani. All are tasty. Free vegetables curry is very nice.

Food took ages to arrive and when it did it was cold as the driver got lost, had to put in microwave to heat up, food was bland, didn't enjoy at all and threw most of it away

We took my daughter here for a surprise 21st birthday dinner and was treated to a first class service and had an absolute wonderful time, the food was extremely tasty and the portions were very filling. I cannot thank the waiters enough for the surprise dessert for my daughter. Wonderful restaurant, wonderful service. Will definitely go and eat there again.

My first time ordering here for a takeaway and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Naan bread, aloo potatoes, pilau rice and King prawn dansak. The food tasted lovely. Spices were just right, the flavour of the dansak was tasty, sweet and spicy, the way that it should be. The aloo bombay potatoes were lovely and soft, so was the rice and the bread was the perfect size for one, baked to perfection. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food wasn't hot enough when delivered. I did have to microwave the food (which i hate doing) and then put the rest in the oven in the event that I wanted seconds (which I did) and the seconds came out with the type of heat I expected upon delivery. The potatoes could've had a bit more onions inside and the dansak with a few extra prawns. Other then that, the food went down an absolute treat and I'll certainly be ordering here again. P.s The delivery guy was very friendly too.

The food here is maybe 4 stars, and if you are looking for a nice restaurant experience then maybe 5 stars, it looks very nice inside and the staff are friendly. The reason I drop to 3 stars is because I order for takeaway chicken curry, chips, and rice, and they charge me 20 pounds. The reason I will never go here again is because I cant afford to. If you can afford then it is ok.

Will no cree for dietary or allergy requirements. The chef will rudely advise that you wont notice the milk in the dish. I will I’m flipping allergic.

Lovely food thay look after you every time you go service is brilliant

The service here is great but the food is why we ate there. Shatkora chicken with lime taste best for me in Thurrock by a mile. Prices reasonable but food just tastes so good. Easy parking and really great staff. No contest for me we are Thurrock residents and eat once a month here as our family treat.

Don't do it. Awful massala sauce more like tomato and tobasco sauce. Chicken dry. Never again

Came here for the first time .. environment was busy which is always a good sign! Got a decent welcome and shown to the table. Got offered pomperdoms ( not complimentary like other places I have been to but had to send it back as the first batch was a little stale., 2nd batch was crunchy and enjoyable. Mains was good although the portion of curry for the biriyani was not enough but got some more after asking ,other than that FOOD WAS GREAT AND I WILL DEFFO BE BACK AGAIN. Waiters was friendly , could have interacted a little more BUT they were good. See you next time !!

The food was beyond amazing, the taste and the quality was 😍😍😍. The restaurant itself was beautiful and the staff was very kind and friendly. We were served quickly and as a family we all had a wonderful meal.

Just had a takeaway delivered and it was by far the best one I've had around Grays. All the dishes were amazing and arrived piping hot as it turned up in around half the time they had stated when I ordered online. Think we've found our new go-to Indian and we'll most definitely be ordering again and will recommend to friends and family in future. Would also like to mention that the delivery driver was very polite and professional.

My wife and I came to the New Delhi on a trip advisor recommendation, to be greeted by Mamu our waiter for the evening. He was very friendly and helpful, we both were wanting a pathia dish and he recommended that we should have a shatkora dish as well as the pathia to share. All I can say is Wow what an amazing combination we both said, fantastic food and great quality would recommend anyone to come and try New Delhi Indian Restaurant Grays. Thanks Mamu!

Had a great meal here with friends last Saturday. My wife had a great Chicken Tikka Masala and I had a wonderful Chef's Special of the Goan Chicken Delight. The Goan dish is made with mangoes but wasn't spoilt by having big chunks of mango in it (I find a lot of sweeter Indian restaurant dishes with bananas or pineapples have too much of that and too little chicken). I hope they keep this on the menu for a while as I'll be going back just for this and my wife now wants to try it. My new favourite Indian meal.

Definitely not to be missed!! Catch up with my friends was long over due.. but New Delhi made the night extra special with their Bollywood night event! Food was mouthwatering good, We love our food extra spicy and they catered to our needs!!! Went recently was absolutely lovely, deco inside is stunning with a floral design wall, food was beautiful very tasty, service was 10/10 very friendly staff great communication skills.

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for bad food, warm drinks and unfriendly service. Maybe just an off night, but I won't be going back to find out.

Never again!! Booked a table for 6 people. Came in and was seated straight away, was given very soggy poppadoms! Drinks came wrong twice and was charged £3 for a small orange juice. Bought the tandoori mix grill honestly is a joke would get more from a kids doner kebab meal !
