We’ve used Zaal many times and never been disappointed, last night was the very best, from welcome to goodbye everything hit the spot, can’t wait till our next visit

Buffet was rubbish not much choice for kids or adults to be honest an one of the staff members is unbelievably rude and very close to having quite word outside the way he spoke infront of my kids

Absolutely amazing! We got take out so rated 4 on atmosphere as it seemed full and lively. Food is the best I’ve ever had from an Indian, and I’ve tried them all in the Stanford le hope, corringham area. Well priced. Ready for collection when stated and amazing food. Plus 10% off if ordered before 7pm - 7 days a week. I can’t quite put into word how delicious the food was and not greasy! Complimentery beer on collection too. Will 💯 be back!

A group of 12 of us enjoyed the Wednesday Banquet- good food and value for money. They were busy so it was a bit noisy but service was good and we got what was ordered in good time... not too long a wait but not rushed either.

The food was outstanding, one of the best India restaurants I have been in , the service was excellent especially from kawsar and rasel that were very accommodating and recommended some dishes that were excellent would recommend 100 percent .

Had a few takeaways from here now and they have all been absolutely amazing. Recommend the Hundi Lamb...Best Indian dish I have ever tasted....superb....Great service from lovely people.

Booked a table for 2 happened to be on a Wednesday buffet night! Shown a tiny table in centre of restaurant, wouldn't let us use a table for 4 even though booked. They couldn't be arsed won't be going back and won't be ordering takeaways .. Bikesh is better value and friendlier.

Food was nice, minimal menu what is better than other local Indian takeaway/reaturant as when there is too many dishes on the menu they don't taste as nice.

I will rate the food 5 stars, but given this place a 1 star due to the way the front of house staff Claire was treated, when we first got there she was rushing around to serve drinks even though they was not that busy, when she see us and said I'll be with you shortly I replied no problem take your time. We was shown to our table within a 2 minutes. While at our table a customer come in to bring back a take away as they were dissatisfied with it. The manager on site called the owner to say what had happened, to which the call was passed onto Claire. During the remaining part of the evening the manager had gone out the back on 2 other occasions to call the owner to which at one time Claire took the call outside and I could see how distressed she getting while on the call. When 2 customers come not long before 9pm when Claire was due to leave shortly, again the owner got called as she said that she could not stay after 9pm. Claire was the only one that was working tonight that knows how to use the till the owner needs to teach all staff how to use it. Claire you deserve more respect than you received tonight from management and I hope you managed to drink your vodka (after work)

Very disappointed. Tiny tables - no room for 4. Uncomfortably cramped. Very loud / rowdy table on an early thur eve. ruined the evening & no intervention from staff to control guests. Couldn’t hear ourselves think. Not a Karen - but this was just silly. Massively overpriced in exchange for a poor evening. 4 small pieces of salmon for £13. Not acceptable. Won’t be going again - even tho close to home & have seen all the curry houses in the area for 20 years.

I would like to request all customers please don't ever visit this Indian restaurant. They always sell dirty foods and 7 days ago pre crooked food. That's why they got only 1 star from health. They always make unhygienic food. 2 weeks ago I found an insect in my food. It was really dreadful.

I've had various dishes recently, disappointed with the flavour, Biriani was just rice and meat not taste at all, veg curry was like gravey, not much veg, maybe a different chef, or maybe was unlucky, as in past have enjoyed, but will not be going back in a hurry.

Popular small Indian restaurant and takeaway. Good quality food politely served in a spotless establishment. Average prices, parking close to the restaurant can be a problem but there is a large car park a few minutes away.

I had a takeaway from the place. It was ready on time . The food was so nice and hot and the price was very reasonable

Love this place and been there more than once. Staff are very attentive without being overbearing. Food is served hot and tasty, with a wide variety of dishes to meet all needs. Price are very reasonable in light of the facts. I had the rezala, which was sweet and full of meat, with pilau rice for the main course accompanied by mushroom bhaji and garlic narn bread. This was part of an offer for about twelve pounds on a Wednesday. Well worth trying and enjoying.

Felt very sick after ordering this unfortunately. Usually a good meal tho.

We went toan Indian restaurant for a birthday meal... we was approached by a staff worker asking “how many papadams would you like” so seeing as there was 10 of us we agreed to have 20.... so we ate our food and asked for the bill... to see we have been charged £14 for papadams and £2.50 for each tray for the sauce!! So we argued against this... and said this is unfair this is not on the menu... the manager had said it’s on the menu...Then we went on and said papadams come free with the sauces and yeah we understand you do have to pay extra if more ordered... the manager explain that you get a couplefree when curry’s are ordered... so us doing our maths... we had 4 curry’s which would lead to 10 papadams free, which the manager of zaa could not clearly do his maths, and told us we had to pay the £14 for papadam’s and £5 for the sauce... the manager went on stating that this is in the menu... so I got the menu out and checked there is nothing in there stating that you have to pay£2.50 for each tray off sauce along with the papadam’s that should of been included!!! This is diabolical absolutely disgusting.... this is an Indian restaurant in corringham called ZAA.... I want to spread the word to get it back to them how disgusting they have mis-placed this... I have never been to an Indian restaurant where you have to pay for all the papadam’s which should be included aswell as the sauces that are always included in this... If you have 1 papadam or 40 papadam!!! Complete rip off!!!! 😡😡🤬🤬

Just ordered from the take away menu Chicken tikka Dansak Chicken korma Onion Bargee Lemon rice Naan bread I can honestly say this was the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Well done Zaal’s.👍

I don't like to leave negative reviews so I'll mix this up with the positives. Takeaway - food was really good. But waited an HOUR in the restaurant waiting area without being pre warned about the waiting time. Was given a couple of free beers to compensate.

As usual we had a really nice meal, tasty, with good service. But when it came to dessert - big disappointment. Bananas, a basic ingredient -they did'nt have any !! so my favourite - banana fritters, off the menu !!! awh and I left room for them.............

My partner and I visited Zaal for a dinner and I must say we both were very impressed. The service was excellent, the staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome, the food was delicious and we had a wonderful experience. Best Indian in Stanford/Corringham by a long way. Different to the normal slop you get everywhere else. Obviously best to eat in but nice takeaway too.

We went to Zaal for a Valentine's meal. Service was prompt and courteous; the meal was absolutely delicious. As we arrived complimentary poppadoms and appetiser was delivered to our table. The starters and main courses were spot on....and as an aside, the price was extremely reasonable for a 'special' day, no additional extras added to make a fast buck! Would highly recommend.

Went to Zaal on the off chance on a Saturday evening. Although they were busy, they fitted us in. My wife wanted a starter that wasn't on the menu and they were only too to make it. The food was excellent. Only downside was the 3 members of staff were a little stretched at times, but not too much. Great value.

Was stuck for somewhere to eat and decided to stay local. Went to Zaal on the off chance. Even though they were busy, they fitted us in. My wife wanted a 'non menu' starter and it was not a problem they made it for her and I wanted a naan with chilli which was also not on the menu and they made it. The food was the best I've tasted for a long while. The staff were stretched as there was only 3 of them, but they kept on top of things (very slightly slow at times, but understandable)As people have said "not the biggest menu" but that suits us as we don't have to read masses of special etc.

This is the best in corringham I belive this I can't go wrong. I have seen more that staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drink was served within 5min

We had a four year old girl and a baby 18 months old. It was a buffet, but we were charged for the popadoms, the 18 month old only ate half a popadom, but we were charged 5.00 for each child even though one ate none of the buffet. We were not offered any desert and there was no desert on show. After we paid the bill and left I looked at the leaflet and it said a desert was included in the meal. They kept that a secret. Would not go back to this restaurant, not child or baby friendly.

Nice enough food but with only 2 groups in the restaurant they still failed to keep the limited amount of dishes from being empty. The drinks as you'd expect are extortionate.They only have one high chair and the other customers had to go home and get their own as our 1 year old was in it.Our main complaint and reason for not returning would be having to pay full kids price (up to 12 year old ) for our 1 year old to eat a bit of rice.Pretty much if you don't have kids and you can wait for the food it might be ok.

I strongly recommend this Zaal Indian Dinning for those who are interested in Indian dishes. The food was absolutely appetising due to their unique mouth-watering curry that literally astonished me in an optimistic way. The staff/waiters were supremely supportive as they were always attentive to your needs. They are exceedingly companionable as well as the manager. The manager offered us free complimented drinks, therefore I am much obliged for their compassion and I admire them. Accordingly, I have never seen nothing like that before! The food, the drinks and the desert were all excellently delicious; I personally adored it myself, my families were very satisfied with it and the children really enjoyed it. Moreover, the food are undoubtedly a very good value for money. Overall, I rate this restaurant five stars, however I believe it should be more than five if optional. I will certainly go there again with my families!

We have been using this restaurant ever since it opened having been using its other restaurant in grays. We always have a takeaway and it has never let us down the staff are friendly the food is by far the best we have ever had, They don't deliver which is not a problem as we only live two miles away. So if you fancy a Indian give this one a try

I found It awful specially the Italian girl in the bar very annoying and didn't know when to stop joking to some it up in one word disorganised

Very disappointed had to wait 30 minutes for a table we booked in advance then waited an hour and a half for the food, the food itself was not great and came not how we had asked for it, the menu is very limited, and was very expensive. to say we were on the verge of walking out after waiting 2 hrs i wont be going back and suggest to others not to go

I ordered a Lamb madras which was a fair portion and very tender, but surprisinglya little sweet. My wife had a chicken tikka rogan josh which she found delicious. As well as rice we had 2 side dishes, an onion bhaji and a mushroom bhaji, both very good. I had a chappati with my meal and this very good as well. When the manager came to ask if everything was Ok we both praised the quality of the meal and speed of service. I then mentioned the the Madras was a little sweet and we were both surprised when he immediately insisted on bringing me another Madras which I tried to say no too but he wouldn't have it and 4 or 5 mins latter brought another dish out with a portion of rice as well, being most apologetic all the time. When I asked for the bill I found that they had crossed off the Madras from the bill even though they had gone to the trouble of giving ma another plus more rice. I naturally paid the full bill including the crossed off dish and added a well deserved large tip for their more than excellent service.Their menu is quite small compared to most other similar restaurants. They didn't have Campari on the bar which my wife drinks, but for these 3 small points we fond this a very good restaurant. Interestingly while we were there they turned away a small group of people and we were told afterwards that this group had been in before, had quite a lot of drink, and acted loudloud and over boisterous and were not the type of customer they wanted as it interfered with other more civil diners. As said earlier we found it a very pleasing visit and would recommend it to other "trippers"
