Not upto their usual standards watery curry sloppy rice samosas soft and firm not crispy and used lamb tikka instead of lamb in naga curry so was a bit chewier hopefully this is a one off as they are my go to Indian

A bit disappointed today. Was pretty bland. It’s the complete opposite from dinning in there. Which was superb. The dine in and takeaway need to be equal. Hopefully better next time.

Standard have slipped. Food generally did not appear as fresh as it used to be. Right down to the popadoms. Taste lacking in the meat. A while ago it was always quality. Hope standards recover and I will put this down to it perhaps being a busy night.

Took the opportunity of their special 4 courses for £12 which is for Thursday night only. Did phone up to see if we needed to reserve and though they took our name,there was no need. A group of guys on a night out was the only company and as the restaurant is on the small side did in the end look crowded. We shared a Shemi Kebab and Sheesh kebab for starters . Tasty and spicey. For my main meal had the Murgh Melai (Malayan Chicken )which stated as hot and creamy. Very tasty but lacking in spice. My wife had the Pistachio Chicken which she said was very tasty. The 4 course was made up of a starter, main with rice(or naan bread) and a vegetable side dish. I had the Motor Paneer and my wife had the Aubergine as vegetable side dish. King Prawns,Prawns and a mixed meat dish were not included in the deal,though all the other options like Chefs specials were. Beer £4 and a glass of wine £6. All over an enjoyable meal and will come again. Have marked it as average as "good" not an option. Service was ok,as just one guy doing all the ordering and serving. The wait was not long so no complaints

Ordered a tikka balti masala with a a request of madras hot. I got a bland mild masala. Average basic curry which I did not want

Always great food from this restaurant

The food was very nice . A bit cold because it was late .. this restaurant seems to be better than others during the pandemic.. others standards seemed to have slipped and the food has been of poor standard ... but the Bengal bar and restaurant food always seems to be very good

Another lovely meal from this restaurant. Have used this restaurant a few times and have always been very pleased with the quality and service and always delivered within a few minutes of the time specified.

Curries were rather sloppy in consistency and lacked a lot of flavour. Side dishes were only average as well.

I’m not saying it was horrible but we normally order from panahar who for some reason was not showing on just eat today. I ordered a curry that was described as slightly hot. It was not hot at all and to me was mild like a Korma. Chicken felt watery like it was cooked from frozen. On top of this it took an hour and 45 mins to deliver what I’ve described. Not horrible but not what I’m used to

First time ordering and wasn't bad. Food was nice and hot. Slight wait for food but was worth it and got constant updates as to when my food would be ready. Will order again

Food took an hour and a half to reach me. Food was also cold. Disappointing as it is normally good and ordered on a week day. Flavours still great.

It was awful. Lamb like rubber, chicken tikka main with the cheapest of chicken. Special fried rice terrible. Other dishes were not much. And they delivered half an hour early. All in all would not order from here again. Shame because its my local

The Bengal is 1 of 2 Indian restaurants on Lampits hill so are trying to be good to stay in business at this trying time. We had a good meal there and would definitely go again.I usually have a Madras which was fine and interestingly slightly hotter (spice wise) than the other restaurant down the road Reasonably priced. No real problems so would recommend

There wasn’t much flavour had to put quite a bit of salt and pepper on it. Seems to have given people bellyache straight after eating

Excellent food and service. This was the first time I have ordered an Indian takeaway meal. It was a for a special birthday that we should have been deliberating at a restaurant and due to the lock-in had to be carried out by video conferencing. The meal turned up slightly early and was excellent. I will certainly be using this restaurant again.

The delivery was late which did cause me a problem as I was joining in an on line Birthday quiz for my sister and we had to postpone it by an hour but the food was delicious and will order again

Good delivery, lovely food, value for money

Not good at all. Chicken tikka was under cooked. Really rubbery and just pulled out the oven far too early. This restaurant is usually very fresh and nice every time I’ve been here in person. The takeaway is the opposite in regards of quality. I’ll be going elsewhere next time.

Food not as good as other restaurants in the area, rice was clumpy and mushy while the chicken seemed very watery like the sauce it was put in. Wont be ordering again from this restaurant

All of the food tasted great and despite the food being late, it was still hot. Would definitely order again but will add 20mins onto the expected delivery time!

Never got our free potatoes that was promised! Rice was definitely different!

Our order arrived very early but most dishes were cold, the sag paneer had no paneer cheese in it, the lamb madras had another meet not lamb in it, possibly pork, and the chicken tikka sauce was very thick and dry and the sauce itself was far too sweet. Very unimpressed, spoke to the restaurant and requested a refund and was told they couldn’t give us a refund as we ordered through just eat.

Very happy with the food very tasty and overall top notch will be looking to order from here in the future
