We have been here 3 times now and it is the best Indian takeaway we have found around the area. Always friendly staff delivering, tasty warm food and good portions of meat in the dishes.

Calzone was not nice at all - horrible cheap cheese, not cooked in the middle and very dry. Donner meat was microwaved and not fresh. Very disappointed.

The food was ok, average at best. My friend’s lamb chop starter was burnt to a crisp, how can the staff not recognise this? Mains were ok. Waited a long time for food, but it was a Saturday night so I guess this is expected. Decor very tired, but I guess their die hard fans will keep the place running, so no need to make efforts to address this. Not terrible, but I won’t be rushing back.

Fantastic takeaway for. Food is fantastic as always. Plus I got to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant with a nice pint of cobra while I waited.

Our third visit in three weeks. Without doubt the best Bangladeshi food we have ever tasted. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, the service is excellent and the food served is to perfection. It's obvious that the owner and his staff are very passionate about the restaurant, first established in 1979. It's a hidden gem for sure and is now our only go to restaurant for Indian food. Take away service is also available and we can't recommend Gulab highly enough, the best in Chesterfield!

Love the food here, so full of flavour and generous portions. Recommend the lamb shank, not many Indian restaurants have this. Looking forward to trying a lot more of their dishes

We are here as a party of 12 and had the most delicious meal! Food was fresh and incredibly tasty The restaurant doesn't have much atmosphere and has no real decoration but the food MORE than makes up for this. Highly recommend

Found a live caterpillar in the food, phoned to let the restaurant know and they back to the house to see if there really was a caterpillar, took the dish away and said they would be back with food to compensate and then never came back with a replacement dish

Such nice restaurant, especially their kosha mangsho. My Caribbean friend loved it so much. I used to drive all the way there only to eat in this restaurant. It is so sad that it closed down.

The menu at this restaurant is incredible—there were so many amazing dishes to choose from that I had a hard time deciding! The food was absolutely outstanding—10/10 for both taste and authenticity. We started with the chicken pakoras and fish pakoras, which were simply the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and mouthwatering. For mains, we tried a variety of naan and curry dishes, and every single one was perfect. The meats were cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The service was exceptional as well. The waitstaff were polite, friendly, and knowledgeable, even helping us choose some of the best dishes on the menu. The interior had a stunning, fancy hall vibe, complete with beautiful Christmas lights that created such a cozy and festive atmosphere. We ate to our hearts’ content and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We’ll definitely be coming back very soon!
