Rai Saab Carlton in Gedling

Ordered a mail at Rai Saab for the first time and had a lamb korma. Delivered very swiftly and was piping Hot. There was ample amounts of lamb of which was very tender. The rice was well prepared. I was very satisfied with this meal and would use Rai Saab again thank you.

It was our 6th order and each meal has been absolutely delicious. Great service,piping hot. Restaurant quality. Well worth a visit.

Fast friendly service had veg samosa and onion bahji for starters and chicken tikka balti and lamb rogan josh with boiled rice and keema rice with garlic naan bread the food was nice and hot the best curries we have had from a take away well worth the money.

Been using these guys for years now, the reviews are what brought me here and the food kept me here. My mother and i order weekly since we've been looking for an authentic indian place. My mother is very picky since she has been cooking indian food her whole life, and she loves it! Service has been above and beyond it was about time i left a review.

Always had a great curry from Rai Saab! It was lovely when it was Sizzling Nights but seem to have got better with it being Rai Saab. Lovely service, the lads are always polite. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a curry and always recommend it to my friends.

Ordered tonight for the first time & will be absolutely ordering again. Best Indian food we’ve had! The service was amazing, both the man taking the order and the delivery driver were so kind and helpful. Ordered a paneer masala and Prawn bhuna which were both outstanding. Couldn’t rate highly enough.

Ordered two curry’s and a naan for collection. Found the curry very watery and runny which wasn’t great. All in all quite an average restaurant nothing too exciting really.

First time of ordering here this evening and I couldn't be more pleased. Delivery arrived within 20 minutes handed over by a very pleasant man. The Butter chicken had large chunks of tender chicken breast smothered in a lovely tasty sauce. The mushroom rice was perfectly cooked and delicious and the garlic cheese naan fabulous. My favourite takeaway by far.

Ordered a takeaway ,food was appalling and tasteless.Delivery come with the incorrect amount of rice .Granted they sent another helping of rice whilst our food was going cold …poppadoms and chutney were thrown in as goodwill gesture but unfortunately were stale …Bad experience won’t be ordering from there ever again

Great service from Rai Saab. Discovered one item was missing from our order - rang back and no questions asked it was delivered within 20 mins with complimentary poppadums and chutneys.

First time of trying this this place. They passed my lamb test, it was so soft and tasty. All the family enjoyed their food. My only gripe is the bhajis were either really over done or they were from earlier in the day and reheated they were really poor. That said I'll have another try another time but i will ask for freshly made bhajis

The service is fantastic, I've just started using the App, and the is so easy and efficient to use, not only can you pay for your curry but you can even track, where it is, I.e. being prepared, cooked and on its way to you. Superb. King Prawn Punjabi and Prawn Balti. Excellent. Taste is super fresh . Nans are a good size and lovely . Really very good Indian food which would match virtually all the restaurants in the city.

The best hotel is Rai Saab. I really like this hotel. I really like the food here especially Crispy samosa.

My wife said , “This has to be the best “Indian” I’ve had in Nottingham since that one we had in that place on the Mansfield Road years ago,” Not only is my wife always right, but I just happen to agree with her on this occasion about our very first Indian take away since moving to Gedling yesterday. This was seriously tasty grub and lots of it! It is also well priced with most dishes still under £10. The ‘freebie’ Popadoms given, I believe, to all newbies crunched their way very quickly to an early death. Thanks Yassah, the really friendly guy who handed me my first but not last take away from this establishment.

Great Takeaway at the restaurant. Starters of tandoori player and samosas were really tasty. We then had a couple of curries, naans and rice. My favourite was the butter chicken! Would definitely come here again.

Absolutely love this place if you haven’t tried it you really should especially the lamb chops, pakoras, tikka masala and the starter with lamb pieces chops and sheesh kebab definitely a 10/10 from me and I should know I order 4/5 times week 😂

What a beautiful tasting meal,one of the best currys I've had for a while really worth visiting

Wasn’t best pleased with this during my short visit to Nottingham. The curries can presented with a layer of grease on the surface, with the consistency of the sauce baring a close resemblance to apple sauce. Lastly, the bottle of 7up that I paid £2.50 for was replaced by a bottle of Whites lemonade, which was not only £1.39 as displayed on the bottle (pic 1) but also out of date, as of last month (pic2). Big disappointment and will certainly not be returning.

Food was amazing! Quick delivery and Aadam was really helpful answering my questions about dietary requirements. Will be ordering again very soon.

Four of us shared a fabulous takeaway just after Christmas. We were a mix of vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious and mind blowing curry's and Very friendly and efficient service. I visited last night and had one of the best curry's I have ever had. Absolutely beautiful and well maintained from the inside. A perfect place to wait while the food is being prepped. Staff hospitality was excellent. I Highly recommend to everyone reading to try this amazing curry house, you most definitely will not be disappointed. Hats off for the chef and Keep it up pal. I will definitely be back.

This is by far the best takeaway curry I have ever had - and I have had quite a few! It was full of flavour, and the dishes that said they were hot or spicy were ACTUALLY hot and spicy for a change! A lot of places I have been before say the curry is hot or spicy, yet have never hit the mark for me.. Rai Saab, however has so much flavour and spice. The vegetable Rim Jhim was fantastic. None of the dishes were oily or greasy, which is far too common when I've ordered from other restaurants. The samosas and bhajis were authentic - not the small ones you usually find at other places. On top of all of that, excellent value for money and a great service from the team there. I cannot wait to come back - I will not be going anywhere else in the future and will highly recommend to all curry lovers out there. Thank you Rai Saab!

By far the best indian takeaway,we only order once,twice a month but eveytime the food is simply amazing,the staff are always friendly and polite,i would certainly recommend the chicken tikka rim jhim

Absolutely tremendous! My food came 15 minutes early, the driver was very friendly and also gave me free chips! I would highly recommend to anyone that hasn’t tried it as it is the best Indian I have had in years.

I Tried Rai Saab after descovering Sizzling was no more and they did not dissapoint. My favorite old takeaway is also now my favorite new takeaway. Amazing food & friendly service. Quality is A++

Ordered a curry pretty simple order . Order repeated back to me and all ok. Order comes 1hr20mins later. Order had a mixed grill missing and a chicken tikka curry. Rings up and explains and they tell me they dint take for the missing orders then when check the bill they apologised and agreed to send the missing items. First mixed grill had to go in the microwave as was cold no heat on the food what so ever along with 3 portions of rice stone cold. After another 40 minutes the missing items came he gave me the bag and asked for the price of the mixed grill as it hasn't been paid for I said we have already sorted this out on the phone I've paid for it already. Sorry the curry was paid for but not the mixed grill we have a new worker and she's not very good on the phone. OK so how much do I owe you £12.75 or if you pay cash call it £10 . This place as changed hands and this is the second time the order as been wrong. This is the last order for me

I have enjoyed eating traditional authentic Indian quisine for most of my life, from many different restaurants and takeaways. I had my first meal from here last night and, I have to say, "what an amazing experience I had" The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, the chefs are fantastic, the food was exceptionally good, cooked to perfection 👌 I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and, there was a nice surprise in the bag for afters 😋 thank you very very much guys, I will definitely recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a very pleasant and satisfying experience 😊. 1st class! My son ordered today and I can honestly say this was the best garlic naan and butter chicken combo I have had. They were able to easily amend the curry and make it home style for me and make my son's lamb Rogan Josh extra hot exactly the way he likes it... Will be asking him to leave a review soon also. Driver was extremely friendly and abided by social distancing rules.

Appalling. Food cold not fresh a slick of grease on top and watery. Incorrect labelling of the vegatarian food and meat food. Embarrassing when I ordered for my vegetarian guests. No cheese on my naan bread. Food not fresh, no crunch to the poppadoms. Food was bland no flavour or herbs and spices and some uncooked green hard peppers shoved into the rogan josh. SHOCKING I will never be using these again.
