Our meal was a takeaway, it was fabulous, good quality food, all very very tasty …From the complementary popadoms, chutneys and yoghurt to the main of chicken Ghurkali, plus sides of Channa, 2 samosas and liberally sprinkled coriander /garlic naan…yum yum. 10 out of 10 and all very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and delicious food- both indian you would be familiar with and their specialty nepalese are very good. Takeaway is prompt and hassle free.

Cannot fault this place. Been numerous times with family and the food is always outstanding! Never had a bad experience. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - will go back again and again!

We had a lovely family meal last night at the Himalayan Inn in Arnold. They took great care of us, even the fussiness of children was accommodated cheerfully! Food was delicious! I regularly have takeaway from here and it is always excellent. Friendly staff and good service. 😍

Came in last night Friday 23rd August our 3rd visit and as per usual the food is amazing the staff are brilliant so friendly and welcoming and the resturant is so clean . Will be back when home from Cyprus

Had family dinner at Himalayan Inn assuming to have authentic Nepalese food. Surprised to find a gem in Nottingham after long time . Family enjoyed the chicken lawabdar and large family naan (garlic and coriander ) . Nepalese momo and noodles are incomparable. A must visit place . Highly recommend

I visited as part of a group for my mother’s 90th birthday in January 2024, food was bland lacking flavour. The base sauce was runny and a beige colour, no texture to it. I have since found that they purchase the same base sauce from a supplier in Derby that also supplies the supermarkets with curries. Disappointing when you pay a premium for restaurant

Disappointing. Delivery, bhuna and tikka masala, the same sauce strange orange colour just added sweetener to masala. Very bland. Asked for no coriander got it in both. Peshwari naan covered in yellow sugar, supposed to be honey drizzle. Mushroom rice was same boiled rice with one chopped up mushroom very bland. I love Nepalese cooking but all this ended up in the bin. Won't go back. £52 meal for two... what a waste. Ended up cooking. After discussing with manager, a partial refund was accepted. Sent photographic evidence , assures it was two different sauces.

Had a lovely dinner here the other evening. The owner, and waiter of the restaurant were both genuine, and friendly Nepalese gentlemen. The khana was very authentic and hospitality was homely.

Lovely takeaway curry for 6. Food delicious. Restaurant looked small but cosy and well set out. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

A lovely little spot in Nottingham with incredibly friendly service and a lovely owner. The food itself was exquisite, the chefs can be flexible with your level of spice tolerance. Really appreciate the owner taking the time to discuss what makes Nepalese food different to others in South Asia. The owner also described how they use minimal oil in cooking. An overall tremendous experience!

I ate here early on Sunday evening with my daughter and son-in-law who were visiting from out of town. We were made welcome and the food was delicious. It equalled some of the best curries I had when on holiday in India. Portions were generous and service was swift and friendly. A very pleasant experience. We will be back!

I would not recommend going with a large group of people, they find it hard to get the orders out on time, miss items you’ve ordered and still try to charge you for it, the food is really nice though and the staff are so police, just a bit disappointing for large group of people

Went to Himalayan inn on recommendations by our friends to hav e authentic Nepalese dishes. Had tried momos , and chhoila with and Nepalese Curry “pahadi kukhura “. The taste was just as authentic as in Nepal. Amazed to have found this place . The service was very personalized . Can’t wait to come back .

My Kahari was delicious and my other 5 friends enjoyed it but one said the Vindaloo wasn't hot enough. Will definitely be back.

After many times visiting the Himalayan, I thought it was about time I left a review. By far the best curry in our area, the food is always spot on and the service is 2nd to none. Every time we pick up food, it’s always on time and are very rarely left waiting for it. Would always recommend visiting, 10/10!

It was a quiet night when I went with my parents and a couple of their friends, the food was delicious and the service very smooth.

Have previously both dined in and taken out from here. Food is absolutely brilliant. Main place we will go for curry if anywhere in Nottingham. From what I can remember service was pretty good, average waiting time, but well worth it. But we usually get take out.

Ordered take away Karahi, pilau rice and chilli cheese naan for delivery 3 miles away, and the food arrived so fresh and so hot, I will definitely come again!

Our 2nd takeaway from this restaurant and the food was delicious! I love the channa chat masala, it was fresh and very tasty. Food was not greasy at all but very flavoursome. We both really enjoyed it.

We have just been there and the food was amazing! We have tried meat momos, some chicken and lamb dishes and they were so tasty. Great service, the manager was there to answer all our questions and make food recommendations. Will definitely come back

Visited for the first time last night and this place did not disappoint. We were running ten minutes late and a quick call to let them know was not an issue. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Big smiles and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was so so good! If I was to suggest anything, maybe a touch of background music and some mooded lighting but that really is just me being really picky. A wonderful place, thank you very much!

We have visited the Himalayan in Arnold many times and have always loved the food and found the service excellent. Last night we ate in their new restaurant in Bingham. A beautiful, small space with lots of character and a very warm, friendly welcome and service. Food and drinks were excellent, thank you.

Very clean, crisp white tablecloths changed every sitting. Staff very attentive and polite. Food is absolutely wonderful, what more could you ask for!

Regular customers of the restaurant & on our recommendation a take away for 4 was ordered for a meal with friends. Has to be one of the most bland and uninteresting meals we have ever tasted. 3 different main courses ordered - all of which tasted the exact same to all of us and an overwhelming taste of tomato soup for them all. Culminated in one of the party having sickness & diarrhoea 2hrs post consumption. Worth noting that an email was written and sent the following morning advising the restaurant of our disappointment in the meal, nearly 4wks later now and still no response.

We usually eat in the restaurant but my sister in law is with us after major surgery so it had to be a takeaway, which was excellent. I hadn't tried the Chhoyla before but really enjoyed it. As ever, all the food was first class, we all enjoyed it

Finding this place wasn't straightforward. It's listed as being on front Street but the entrance is actually around the corner and upstairs. I enjoyed the sag paneer. So much that I felt stuffed afterwards and couldn't sleep. The place was busy despite being only 6pm. They serve thali on Wednesday evening so will definitely be giving that a go

Visited the Himalayan Inn for the first time last evening and will certainly return very soon. Heard many excellent reviews from friends in the past and have to say, the dining experience met those high expectations and more. The restaurant offers a relaxed, friendly and courteous welcome from the lovely staff whilst all in our party throughly enjoyed their food which was top class and presented efficiently and well. The prices were very reasonablefor such quality food. Thank you for providing my friends and I a lovely evening. You are a total asset to the town.

Service was very good as you would expect in any Indian restaurant. Good selection of Indian style beers. Good choice of food on the menu and what we had 3 persons had no complaints. 😋

I went there last night and the service food and the prices were all excellent, Great value for money and also the staff are so attentive. One of the best restaurants in the area if not the best.

We really like eating here, usually from the main menu but last Sunday we met a few friends to try the buffet. It worked very well as we were all chatting and catching up, just like before the pandemic! the food was great, good choice and blend of spices complementing the tastes. Will be back soon for the full menu!

We've eaten here before, always excellent food and service. we met up with a few friends last Sunday when they do a buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed it, obviously its not the full menu but plenty of choice - as ever, the spices compliment the flavours , not overwhelm them. Had sit down meals from here before and have been lovely, but Saturday night I wasn't enjoying my meal.we had a starter and my partners was part cold, she didn't enjoy. The main curry was not tasty like normal and the pushwarni bread wasnt like I get elsewhere. Price was £57 I had 1 bottle budwiser and partner had half cider we had starter each /curry chicken tika each /shared pilu rice and shared nan bread, and 2 pompadoms each. I thought it was expensive. Went to Asda tonight and couldn't believe the 2 curry's we had and there pilu rice omg fantastic and brought some samosas and onion barjies couple of bottles of alcohol, cost £14 there abouts recommended

Food is always brilliant, and the staff cannot be faulted. Nothing is too much trouble and they are happy to adjust any dish to your tastes. They accommodate most dietary requirements. The restaurant is very clean and inviting.
