Food really good did not think they could improve from years ago but yes .. top quality abd food reasonably priced but Add ons too expensive ie dip...water..bagging up. Puts the bill right up and would not have taken left overs if we wd have been aware..

Used to go to this resteraunt regularly until I lost my husband. Went tonight (family visiting.) They all remembered me which was nice but moreover the food was top notch as I had remember. My family couldn't believe how reasonable it was as they come from Essex they said it was delicious and will be visiting more often. So will I. We all got lazy after lockdown but its brought a spark. their food has lured me again. Yummy...Well done !

We visited Reena for a family birthday.There was 13 of us. It was brilliant. The food was much better than any of the big posh restaurants we have visited. Lovely ambience good service and very reasonably priced. Added to that you can take your own alcohol. Moses was the star of the show. Keeping up the banter with my family he is a big asset to the restaurant. We will definately be having more family parties there

Today my husband took me to Reena Tandoori and on entering there was noone in and then Moses came over extremely polite and friendly. Greeted us and explained that he is our server today and he will also be cooking our food as due to Ramadan he had given most of employees were given the day off. He checked on us regularly but enough to leave us to the delicious meal he had also prepared for us. 100% recommend Reena and even more him. Such a friendly outgoing person and due to the experience we will definitely be back. Thank you Moses and see you again soon 😊

Visiting friends for new year our friends come here and decided to take us, from seating to coming out we had a brilliant time took out own wine, the food came out quick hot and very very tasty, the staff were polite and brilliant can’t thank them enough for making out visit memorable, we will be back ❤️

So we came in Oct and the review wasn’t great, we decided to try again. We came with our children & the staff were great, helpful, knowledgeable about off menu products we were interested in etc The person who served us was brilliant with our children and the food was lovely, full of flavor etc we are glad we gave these another go. They do need another waiter/waitress on the busy nights as having one or two covering isn’t enough, but the food & service was spot on!

Waited and waited and waited to be served, a large family were in with badly behaved children running riot & going under tables. We were seated after a very long wait and told we would be seen shortly. We weren’t offered a drink or popadoms nothing while we sat there for over fifteen minutes. We walked out in the end after hearing the table behind complaining that they had received their mains but not starters & had waited an age! There was one person serving the whole restaurant. Honestly why not put more staff on? We walked out in the end.

Fitted us in at the last minute, nice friendly welcoming and good service all night. Poppadoms and chutney were tasty and prompt, although starters weren’t the best. A lot to choose from mains and they were good portions, tasty authentic Indian and Bangladeshi curries. Overall good value for money, but quite basic furnishing and slightly crammed. Missing the sliced orange and chocolates you get at most Indian restaurants. 7.5/10

We ordered a curry set meal for 2 and enough food came to feed us twice over! The poppadoms and dips are always great & the starters and curries were exceptional. I've been using reena for years and I'm always surprised with how good the food is and how cheap it is! We got it all for about £25 which was an absolute bargain!

The Reena Oswaldtwistle was very nice but very mediocre. The man behind the bar Moses was lovely and very friendly. The other one Ash was very impersonal and not very friendly.

Nice food and the service was really excellent. Bring your own beer from the off license 200 meters down the road. I love the spicy sausages. They go down better than leemos mum.

Visited here during the Christmas break with family and it proved to be a very popular choice. Situated close to a number of bars and pubs it makes for an ideal evening out. Remember - it is 'take your own' with regards to drink and they do not charge corkage :-)

Although the surroundings are quite dated the food and the staff soon make up for it. We were a party of 12 and had the mid week extravaganza £12.95 for 4 courses. Excellent choices and flavoursome food and well presented. It was our first visit but it won’t be the last

Six of us went here over the Bank holiday. What a great little restaurant. Three of us hadn’t eaten there before. A good varied menu. My choice was chicken tikka balti and pilau rice. It was delicious and the rice perfect. I was particularly impressed with the naan bread, so light and equally as delicious. Decent prices. Welcoming and helpful staff. Nothing bad to say. You do have to take your own alcohol which may put some off. Not us though. Will definitely be back.

Jimmy n the staff are always welcoming, great service and bring your alcohol makes for a great meal....most places give good value food and hit you with high priced drinks....great food at a good price, bring your own alcoholic drinks⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a repeat customer I can't believe I haven't already written a review. We are always well looked after and the food is delicious. They have an extensive choice of dishes and portion sizes are spot on. They don't serve alcohol but you are free to take your own which keeps the cost of the meal down. It does get busy at weekend so I would booking a table - it is popular with large groups and we have witnessed people being turned away several times. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the lumpy chairs, which desperately need replacing.

This year we decided to go out for a meal on New Year’s Day. Definitely was not disappointed what a lovely meal.The food was delicious (as always) and the service was fantastic could not do enough for us. My little boy Ethan absolutely loves this place and whatever he wants he gets .. even sometimes a plate of orange slices for a starter ha!! My parents live in Canada and each time they come over for a visit we go for tea at this curry house at least twice! Thankyou for making each visit special and comfortable. See you soon!

My friend and I also visited this restaurant on New Year’s Eve. Yes it was busy and we also had a lengthy wait, hence only 4 out of 5. The staff were courteous at all times and accommodating. They were extremely busy, however service was good. They were being harassed by a large group who were unhappy at the length of their wait. I understand that this detracted from their evening however spitting at the staff and being racially abusive is not condonable in any situation. So there are two sides to every story. Be careful what you believe! Our meal was fantastic and tasty and the staff could not do enough for us. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My family and I booked a table at the Reena on new Years Eve. We arrived, and the restaurant was packed. Clearly the staff had overbooked. We were asked to wait in the take away side of the restaurant, where we ended up sitting for over an hour! We weren't offered any glasses for our drinks or any complimentary poppadoms which would have eased both our hunger and annoyance. When we finally got into the restaurant our party was split up and placed on separate tables. When the waiter came to take our order he was rude and rushed along the table, missing off our starters and side dishes which we had to ask to be added to the order. The food service was extremely slow and we had to ask twice where our food was as by this point we had been waiting (including for our table) around 2 hours. When the food arrived, items were missing and wrong. At the end of the meal we weren't offered any sort of apology and were told "you should have known it was NYE and was going to be busy". The "manager" was extremely rude and clearly had no customer service skills. Whilst we were sorting our bill I spoke to some other people in the restaurant who said they had had to wait over 2 hours for their table, and they clearly weren't happy either. In the end the manager reluctantly took £18 off our £180 bill, but still offered no apology and in fact seemed not to care about our poor experience. A positive is the that when the food arrived it was nice, however this really did put a huge dampener on our whole NYE! Before leaving a young waiter came up to me and did say sorry, he did this off his own back and maybe management and senior staff should take a leaf out of his book as he clearly has the customer service skills needed in a restaurant.

Been here many times over the last few years and always get a friendly welcome, although it’s a bit cramped and the decor a bit dated the food is always good and the service also, good value for money and meal deals on regularly, make children very welcome too.

Not been for a while and suddenly remembered why.

Could not fault any aspect from quality, taste, service or pricing ! Individual requests catered for and as always my “chicken tikka masala madras hot” was AMAZING - not on the menu but special request not a problem for the fab chefs !

We come here about 6 times a year and the staff are always very friendly. The food is excellent and you get plenty. Great value for your money

I was part of the group out on a leaving party and I can honestly say in all my 45 years on this earth I have never experienced such a rude angry waiter. We have been here before for Work celebrations and usually found this place a little gem. This waiter is definitely in the wrong job. How can someone tell a customer to sit down? How can you manouvere tables around seated guests? Just in case others arrive. I was spoken too rudely, oh! I mean shouted at because he was desperate for " four main meals" on our table.I had to ask him to not shout at me. I was having a main meal too. My friend was threatened with the removal of her chair for just wanting a starter so unfortunately she left. Totally spoilt leaving party. The fact is none of our party will ever set foot in that place again. Food was average too.

I am sat in my car writing this review as i have just walked out of the restaurant! I was on a leaving party from work, there were about 20 of us.The waiter was very bossy asking the girl who's do it was to sit down when she was talking to friends, he moved another group of people onto a different table so they could let imaginary people have the table they were on?! When i ordered a starter and some poppodoms but said i didnt want a main course he told me i had to order a main course it was Friday night and they had refused other customers tables because of our party I needed to order a main course! When i refused he asked me for my chair! I told hom I'd never met anyone so rude and I wouldnt be staying where they think that is acceptable customer service. Avoid at all cost.

The food was excellent and very tasty with a wide variety. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and made you feel very welcome. Great value for money and you can take your own alcoholic beverages as they have no licence which is fabulous and keeps the bill down. All in all am amazing experience and would highly recommend to anyone.

After the first time we visited Reena we were expecting excellent service. This time we were so disappointed. We weren't greeted we weren't asked for drinks for over 10 minutes. I had to ask for our order to be taken. The service was so slow that I asked for our food to takeaway only to be told it was already ready and being kept warm. I mean how ridiculous when we are sat there with an upset child waiting for her food. The food was nice but the service was literally that bad in comparison to last time we visited that we won't visit again.

The food was very very good if I was to go again and more than lightly will do but as a couple because I went and they just can't cope with big groups of people the wait to order to getting your food was unbelievable and people where packed in like sardines to the point you just rushed your food when did get cause starving but as put the food great....

We got a takeaway tonight and quite alot for a big family and it was spot on... absolutely beautiful food and staff are very friendly .... best Indian takeaway by far!!!

The staff are welcoming and friendly, place lovely and clean- open plan kitchen- bring your own booze- they do an excellent early bird (mon tues weds I believe) menu. I really enjoyed the mixed kebab and pakora starters! Great curry too- can't wait to eat my way through the menu!

This place never fails to impress. Quite easy to drive past it without noticing yet call in and the food is amazing. The naga sauce is delicious i go for king prawn. My mrs had mushroom samba which was also really tasty. Starters, service and bring your own booze. Simple yet superb...

Hemos usado Reena para llevar en un par de ocasiones y nunca tuvimos una mala comida. Esta noche tuvimos un pollo tikka biryani con salsa balti, un pollo tikka madrás con arroz y un channa bhaji. El curry era muy buena, el aceite no puede estar en la parte superior, el nivel de especias era buena, el tamaños poción generoso y puede probar las especias diferentes en las salsas. El precio era razonable y servicio rápido, todo considerado una comida muy agradable.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff, I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always had a great experience.

This Indian restraunt can do no wrong on my view. I went here for my birthday but go on a lot of occasions. Used to visit regularly with my late husband and they always made a fuss of us and were truly compassionate towards me when I lost him. The food is excellent, the head chef comes out on many occasions to say hello and ask if we all happy. The food as I said is excellent whatever we order. Ive introduced many of my friends to this lovely restraunt and they too love it. Persuaded my friend this time to try the nan bread (she doesn't like it as a rule ) She said wow it's gorgeous.everything came piping hot and plentiful what else can I say. Excellent

Had a great takeaway so good came back for more at the end lol f the week too. Not been for ages but it's just as good as before if not better. Will be going in march for a big party celebration . See you soon

cold atmosphere but got better as night went on. quickly ordered our starters and mains. However there was a long wait although there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. When the waiter eventually brought the starter he did apologise for the wait and said that the takeaway part of the restaurant was very busy and he had to help the chef. Perhaps they need to look at how they cater for both takeaway and restaurant. Won't be rushing back.

Top service and good tandoori fayre. I've been to the takeaway side of this business many times over the years and always wondered what the inviting looking restaurant was like.There was an early bird menu on which was a nice surprise too. Food was tender tasty and hot with a full range of typical tandoori dishes and a few chef specials too. Staff were great and very friendly Highly recommended , I'll be back

Stopped by this place last week and what a pleasure it was. Fantastic, friendly and humorous service. Great choices and fairly affordable. They run a deal between Tuesday and Thursday that's even better value. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

I visited here with my boyfriend, mum and dad and the staff are extremely helpful in picking out which new curry's to try based on what we liked. You can tell it is a family run business giving off a great atmosphere. Food is always great and a bonus to bring your own alcohol.

I visit this restaurant as often as my wasteline allows. It is a well run restaurant, run by a family of friendly,smart, attentive lads. We usually go for the meal deal during the week, as it is excellent value and good quality. They allow you to consume your own alcohol on the premises with no corkage fee, this makes the place exceptional value as the beer cost is usually more than the food! I personally do not go to any other Indian in this area out of loyalty to a great set up.

Rena is a super restaurant in Union Rd Oswaldtwistle. The wonderful Jimmy and his family and staff have run the place for many years.They know their customers, who return and return again and again. They provide them with excellent food at a reasonable price, and unlike the modern vogue, there is plenty of it.An added bonus is that you are able to take your own beer and wine and this makes for a low cost evening out.If you haven't tried it you are missing out. So give Rena a whirl and I am sure you won't regret it.

We booked as we'd been before and had to get a takeaway as it was really busy but on Thursday it was lovely and quiet. We both went for the £12.95 deal, had plenty to eat and really enjoyed every bit. Also loved the ice cream at the end. The waiter was lovely and made me a delicious drink with mixed fruit juices.. It was like a volcano or something. He was really friendly and attentive, I think his dad is the owner and chef. His dad came to the car with a vimto lolly for me too.. Think they may have felt sorry for the heavily pregnant woman waddling around haha!Will return again soon

Got a table last minute decision just before Friday rush & as always the food & service was fabulous you can't beat this place. Love it

Only visited Reena once or twice but I've had the takeaway quite a few times. The food is consistently good and the staff are always lovely. Jay is a natural entertainer and makes eating at Reena a relaxing and enjoyable experience. My only issue is the fact that there are no baby changing facilities. Whilst this is forgivable, the fact that there is no changing mat available is slightly inconvenient.

Has much as I like reena I feel that all the food seems to look and taste the same weather it be a mild or hot dish seems that standards of cooking appear to have slipped although the staff are fab and friendly

It is quite sometime since I visited Reena but decided to get a take away last weekend. We phoned the order and were told it would be ready in 20mins. Sure enough true to their word it was ready. I had forgotten how good their food is, I had a Lamb Rogan Josh which was delicious. Portions are very good and naan bread also good.

Reena is my number one choice in indian food if its eat in or take away. The choice is immense and can even be tailored to your taste. I have had take away and eaten in and it really cannot be beat.

We decided to go for an Impromptu Monday evening meal and although we arrived late the staff were very welcoming and found us a table immediately. Reena does not have a licence so we had taken our own wine and the waiter was very quick to provide not only the menus but 2 wine glasses without us having to ask. We were informed about their midweek special of poppadoms any starter and any main meal with rice or chapatti for £12.99 per person which we both had. The poppadoms could have been hotter but that is the only critique i can make of the whole meal, we both ordered the mixed starter which was a Delicious mix of kebabs and onion bhaji with side salad and our two different curries where both spicy, tasty and plentiful..the rice was fluffy and hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it ...and for a final bill of under £25 we certainly had no complaints.and was a lovely inexpensive way to spend a midweek evening...we will be back!

This is a very friendly restaurant which also offers a take out option. You take your own drink but can get soft drinks. The food is delicious and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Always a lovely dining experience.

We visit on Friday evening , there was four of us . We all had starts and then a curry with naan bread rice and chips. All where very tasty, and served by very pleasant staff, they made us all feel welcome. And you can take your own alcohol so it make it a very reasonable evening out. Thank you we will be back

Came late on a Sunday night after working on house all day. Were greeted with enthusiasm by Jay. Despite the late hour. Food as always excellent, as was the service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, the chef Jimmy even came out to check we enjoyed our food. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

For the 2nd new years eve in a row we've got a takeaway from reena. The kids absolutely love it and beg for curry for weeks after we've had it. The staff are all really nice and the food is outstanding.

Would definitely reccomend this restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious and price incredibly reasonable. £38 for 3 people! They dont have an alcohol licence but most curry places around this area dont anyway so its not a problem. The staff have no problem with addressing special diets or allergies either. Dealt with this very well. Will definitely return.

We enjoyed a meal at Reena on 28 December 2015. It was quiet, apart from one large family party. We received a warm & friendly welcome. The food is very nice, with decent portions, and it is good value. Just one negative point - the décor looks rather dated & bland, and the restaurant would benefit from a makeover/updating to improve the atmosphere & style, because it looks a bit downmarket compared to other similar establishments; but nevertheless we enjoyed the food & customer service very much.

Jimmy and his son's and all his staff are excellent at providing an excellent services at their restaurant, not only is the food excellent value for money, the food is perfect every time it arrives at your table and within brilliant time scales, if you want it to come out slower just request and they will oblige, we visit at least once a month and would recommend to any one, well done Jimmy and all the staff at Renna!!!!!!.

Staff always superb, friendly and like banter with the customers. Food is always of a high standard. We prefer taking our own alcohol as this cuts down the cost of your night out. This has to be a rare gem!!

A few years since we were last in and it was quiet so we ventured in again.Our waiter, quite a comedian was fun loving we could tell and the manager also came to see if we had everything we asked for.We had a modest meal but there was more than enough at least for us. You can take your own drinks in here as well if you need to so the option is available and can be quite expense saving when dining out for some.So, service fine as was the meal and all for under £30 which as Indians go is good value around the location.Thank you for making our evening a pleasant one.PS: I did find a notice on the wall rather funny in that some nights you cant take your leftover food home, but other nights you can. Not sure what that's about but it did tickle me.

My wife and I visited this Restaurant after we had passed it earlier in the day. From opening the door we were made very welcome as my wife is slightly disabled this was a very nice experience. The food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. The service throughout was excellent and we will certainly visit again to try their other dishes

Love this place!!! Never had a bad meal here. The staff are so friendly and the chef even comes out to say hello and ask people how there meal is. The restaurant isn't licensed so you can take your own drinks, even better!!

I don't why we keep trying this place, probably because it's handy. But this time I really mean it. After numerous visits and always disappointed we decided to cut our losses and just have a main meal. No expensive popadoms and flavourless starters for us. Tandoori mixed grill for him and chicken tikka samber for me. Naga sauce plain rice and plain nan. The bread came with butter, so was sent back. The chicken in mine was a bit hard and the sauce very tame. The naga had no hint of the distinctive chilli pickle flavour and the grill was run of the mill. The seats have to be the most uncomfortable I have experienced in a restaurant, conservatory furniture. The waiter that greeted us was a bit surly, denying having my booking, but the other waiter more than made up for him. Friendly, chatty and helpful. We are very experienced eaters of indian food, going out twice a week for a curry. This place is not on our list to return to. Save your money and go to the Nila at rawtenstall or Bombay hut at Burnley for a top notch curry with excellent customer service.

My wife and I went on New Year's Eve not knowing what to expect,we weren't disappointed at what we had the food was brilliant the service top notch . We had the choice of any starter any main course and any sweet all this and popadoms as well. All for £20.00 can you beat this on New Year's Eve? I would definitely go back to sample and would definately recommend them to anyone all the staff were friendly.

Went to Reena's on Saturday with friends to celebrate a birthday.The staff are friendly,know their menu well and are happy to talk you through dishes that suit your tastes.Food was delicious and the service was fast.They even ask how much time you wish to leave before the next course! They were happy to bring out a birthday cake we had hidden and lit the candles,sang happy birthday and took photos for us.We will be back soon! Highly recommended!

Come quite often as live nearby. Food is always of a high standard and always so tasty no matter what you order. It makes it a cheap night as you can take your own alcohol, they will provide glasses, ice, soft drinks etc.Atmosphere always good and service from staff excellent. Décor could do with a freshen up but that doesn't detract from the food.Highly recommended.

We order takeaway and east regularly in the restaurant at Reena. By far the best Indian food around. The service is friendly and always nice that Jimmy comes out to see his guests in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit, bring your own drink though as drink selection is poor but bring your own is at heart of Reena experience.

Went October 8th with my girlfriend. Had the best curry we have ever had and we regularly go to Sharjan which is also lovely but double the price. Chicken Tika naga was unbelievably tasty and fresh. Can't remember name of mrs dish but also very tasty. Popadoms, starters, main, sweet and coffee for £12.50 each - bargain. Great attentive staff. Restaurant ambiance basic but who cares it's the food that counts. Took my own beer. Mrs had diet coke and a cask of water with ice so no idea what previous reviewer was on about. Weird.
