Chef Hussain taught me how to cook curries on his YouTube channel. Just had a take away from there and brought it back to Manchester. It was great. Flavoursome and well spiced. Portions were good and everything was fresh. Will definitely go back.

Well, after never tried here before i thought i'd give it a "bash". Even from ordering over the phone the very lovely curtious gentleman was so nice. Ordered Chicken Tikka Birianyi and mint sauce. Even the delivery man was so lovely. Now for the review of my meal.......Absolutely fantastic, was given a small salad also which i was so pleased about. You guys are so brilliant ..was the best Birianyi ever. Thank you, will definatly order from you again.

Ordered from them after not wanting to for along time (due to same issue as this review!) and the delivery time THEY GAVE US was 5:50. We are now sat here awaiting delivery.My wife called them to find where the order was and they were just preparing it and it would be on the NEXT delivery drivers run!!! So not only was the delivery 40 minutes late from the time they set but food was STILL being prepared.....Gave them another chance after many issues before over a few years of bobbing in orders but last one for us....could only be worse if they threw it in a bush

Foods amazing, but owners attitude stinks. Spent about £120 in two weeks as it’s not cheap and they’ve messed up twice and basically told me I’m lying both times and done nothing about it to help me. Won’t be coming back

Ordered a takeaway from here, but to say I was disappointed is not the words, it's been a while since I have ordered food from here after the last time my order was disappointing. ordered on there own Web site so there could not be any confusion. asked for donner on a garlic nan chips and can of pop, order arrived quickly but, no can of pop and no garlic nan just a plain nan not much donner meat either salad was just lettuce and onions a slice of lemon and orange never had that before chips where OK I suppose warm enough to eat but I definitely will not be ordering from here again, a lot of people say this is a good takeaway but from my experience its not, I do hope they get there act together because this used to be a really good takeaway

Just ordered two kebabs. Honestly the best we have ever had. Delivered piping hot. Obviously just freshly made. Chicken was very moist. Could not fault in any way. Will definitely be using them again

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, rice and meat samosas. It was the tastiest Indian food we have had for a very long time. Super service, really friendly - will definitely be back!

Used the takeaway and the restaurant for a number of years now, be warned - the kebabs are absolutely addictive! Lovely staff, great service and top notch food. - what more could you want?!

We had a large party of around 14. The restaurant was quiet and their takeaway was busy and obviously to our party taking priority over our food order.The service was appaling ,rude, and extremely slow ,we had 2 courses and we were there for 3 hours 15 minutes, most of which was waiting for our food and waiting to pay. The waiters were ignoring some quite basic requests you would expect when eating out.I can honestly say this has been my WORSE dining experience in 40 years..The food when it did arrive was good.Having said that all of our party had a miserable and unpleasant experience . Avoid the restaurant unless you want a very , very long wait with inattentive , indifferent and rude staff.

Ordered takeaway over the phone, and arranged to collect. ON collection asked about menus and informed they had none, but menu available to view online. Paid for 2 kebabs and potion of chips, got charged £19,05, thought it was very expensive, but paid and got home and checked menu prices.Definitely was over charged and prices did'nt tally.Called into balti house to sort and of course was informed the boss was'nt in. I was informed by the man behind the counter that I was charged VAT because I ordered over the phone!!!!???? Complete RIP OFF!!!! Even adding vat still meant I was over charged, Also there is nowhere documented about being charged more for ringing and collecting yourself!! Totally illegal........Will not be going again-- EVER

Just been for a carvary. Got it of the web site £10.95p having had the meal they charged us over £13. Each this is false advertising.

Got a takeaway, it took 1 hot 30 minutes and they forgot 3 items. The food looked like the driver had sat on it the whole way here, one of the pizzas the topping had stuck to the top of the box, and it was all cold and soggy. Bad experience of what I’ve heard is a good restaurant.

Once again a super dining experience with the best of service. The curries were distinctly different and tasted fresh. Good generous portions and worth paying that little bit extra. No other Indian in the area matches the quality offered.

Very high quality food great taste. I would definitely recommend it to others once you try it then you are a regular customer. We had a Maxican chicken burger and Chicken Tikka in naan bread . Yummyyyy absolutely delicious. Words can't describe better taste it your self .

Have eaten here twice now. The owner and staff could not be more accommodating and the food is always excellent. The restaurant is clean and tidy and has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very knowledgeable about the dishes served.

We had a group of 30+ people visit and were brilliantly looked after by the whole team. As it was such a large group they organised a buffet for us with a great selection of food. The food was fantastic, not something that can always be said of buffets, and there was even enough for people to go back for a full plate of seconds!

Just the most amazing chicken Pakoras - so tender & delicous! But all the food is so tasty - wonderful flavours from the home made spice mixes Hussain & team make in the Balti House kitchens. Other favourites for me are the Chargrilled Spicy Lamb Chops & the Tarka Daal. Friendly & efficient staff & cosy, intimate booths completes the experience. A great place to go for a cracking Ruby Murray!

I'd class myself as a big Indian food lover so trying a new restaurant comes with a fair amount of hesitation. But I am so glad I tried the Balti House - it's absolutely fantastic

I asked a question about spices and was so impressed by the time given to us to help find a dish. The knowledge and passion shone through and the food was amazing. If you want to go outside your comfort zone then this restaurant is a no brainer!!

Visited The Balti House with a large group and the experience was still very personal. The food was delicious and the staff extremely accommodating. Was a fab evening and look forward to visiting again! 👍🏽

Been here a few times now and found the food to be great every time. Very authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Always end up overeating. Spice levels are tailored to suit ones taste. Owner and staff are very friendly. Definitely recommended!

Used to go regularly to the Balti but the last 2 occasions was very disappointing so thought we’d give it one more chance, slow service, cold food. Sorry chaps but need to get it sorted before we go again.

Excellent customer service, great food, very clean. We have very high standards with food and I’ve never ordered from anywhere else since the Balti House opened in Rishton. Me and my family all order from here despite some of us moving out of town. We don’t use any other takeaway. The food is tasty, the staff go over and above to help and the manager is very approachable and helpful. If there’s ever a mistake (which isn’t often) they quickly rectify. Would recommend to anyone.

Passing through on the canal. Was tempted by the curry smells wafting over the water. No problem getting a table, around 7.30pm. Ordered a lamb byriani.

I popped in for a quick meal on a Thursday. I only ordered a main an some sides. Food arrived promptly. It tasted fresh and full of flavour. Really enjoyed the meal. Staff friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Always look forward to staying at daughters as this restaurant is excellent and the takeaway serves the same food, recently voted as making one of the best pizzas. Can’t fault their onion Bhajis for a starter & my favourite curry to dat is the Dopiaza, can’t fault the service or the food. As a footnote the owner does a lot of good for the community in Hyndburn.

Sometimes buffets are cold, this was piping hot with a good selection of currys cooked to perfection! Nice starters and also a choice of quality desserts. Staff are friendly and welcoming which is the icing on the cake :-)

We decided to give the Balti takeaway service another chance, We wish we hadn't. The food arrived cold ( we live about half a mile away) chips cold and rubbery, garlic bread cold and hard, pizzas just cold. What has gone wrong with the take away service at this place. To be fair the restaurant is very good.

I visited the Balti House with my husband and our two children last Wednesday for the new Wednesday night buffet.

Four of us visited here on Saturday night & all of us had excellent meals. The food was a high standard & the service was with a smile. And the new Poppadom sauce on trial, it's sure to be a hit

Went for dinner after seeing the chef on YouTube and wasn't disappointed it was brilliant one of the best currys ever and I have had thousands the service was excellent and even though we tweaked one of the dishes it was no problem really made to feel special and can't wait to go back

So we used to be avid balti house fans... we had a way below average experience around 10 months ago but decided to try again tonight. Really wish we hadn't bothered! Nearly 2 hour wait for a takeaway which arrived stone cold. Avoid avoid avoid@!

The value and food quality is exceptional. I love following you on Facebook with your recipe videos etc Now my gripes that have stopped us returning. The starters for example pakoras, samosas onion bhajis go soggy when kept on the food warmers. Some restaurants serve them fresh on a plate with an option to order more. Also the same goes for the chips, and nan breads are best served at the table. Less oil in the curries would be better and healthier. Would love a very spicy curry included. Thank you

Visited in January with my girlfriend and we both must say, it is by far the best curry house in the are and one of our favourite restaurants!

We ordered the tandoori chicken as we have done before as always delicious BUT this time we were disappointed, the chicken was so very dry and tasteless. It was as if the chicken had been cooked the previous day n banged in an oven to warm and ruin.

I have reviewed the restaurant before and always given good reviews. However, after numerous takeaways and especially this night debacle I feel so strongly that I can only give one star for my experience. Our order for seven people was placed as soon as the establishment opened at 17:00hrs, one and a half hours later I rang to ask where the order was, only to be told that they were very busy and that our order was the next one ( how convenient) to be sent out. I explained that our order was placed as soon as their place opened and it really should not have taken so long. Anyway after countless "sorry sorry" from the person on the phone our order arrived eleven minutes later. IT WAS COLD and we live just less than a mile away for the place. It will be interesting to know how their orders are prioritised, as it appears ours was left to one side until we rang. Shocking service, and we have been going there for years and years, it really has gone downhill.

Best pizza around but only if you have all night to wait. Delivery times are shocking. The excuse of using fresh ingredients just winds us up. If you walked in off the street its 10 mins. Order for delivery is upto 2 hours if your lucky. Its a case of maximising sales by not employing enough drivers to get the food out and its the drivers that get the complaints.

Ordered chicken korma for delivery based reccomenditions. Received some kind of chicken soup that had no korma identity what so ever. So disappointing. Enough said.

Went with a friend to get a lazy takeaway,looked at the reviews that had been left and decided to give it a whirl.Bad move,curry laced with chilli powder.Not cooked in heat just blasted with chilli powder,I even asked the guy prior to ordering.He assured me it would be good.2 curries and a few sides plus a pizza nearly £40.Got Home and they hadn’t even put my cans of coke in my bag.Both my self and my friend didn’t feel brilliant the following day.massive disappointment!!!!!!!!!

Although the delivery time was quite excessive, the customer service and quality of food was excellent and reccomended. I seldom review and rate purchases, as I expect the highest standards, I believe these guys need a mention. Keep up the great work.

Bring your own booze. Sunday and Monday there are “All you can eat” buffets and similar for vegetarians on Wednesday. Good food and very pleasant staff.

The Balti House Rishton has been one of our favourites for many years. 12 of us went last night and the 1st time ever it wasnt up to scratch. Mr khan who used to be the manager run a very tight ship and everything was spot on. Since he has left it seems to have gone to pot. The service was chaotic even though they were very pleasant and when the food arrived it was cold.. I feel quite sad as we are regular visitors to this restaurant. Bring back mr khan and restore some order

We went here last night (Wednesday) for their 1st Vegetarian buffet night, and even as a non vegetarian we found all of the food to be excellent, and great value at less than £10 for as much as you can eat.

9 of us went for the buffet on Sunday. The food was excellent, the service was too. Can’t praise this restaurant enough. The lamb biriani I was the best i’ve ever eaten. Chicken jalfrezi was delicious. The meat was so tender and tasty. Hussain and staff xant fo enough for you. I recommend to anybody who loves good food .

We visited the Balti house tonight and it was amazing. We usually order from the menu but today we had the new Monday buffet(£9.95 for adults) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money. The waitress (Emily) was lovely and well mannered and quickly got us anything we asked for. Staff were also very friendly and asked how the food was. The food was nice, hot and of a high standard. As always we were pleased. Would definitely recommend! We will be visiting again xx

Lack of hospitality, poor/slow service & wrong order - disappointed as Birthday Meal & hoping for good night

We are eating at the Balti House now, the Restaurant has not only the best food, but a great atmosphere, fantastic people... What can I say! The lamb chops - is the dish to die for!

By far the best Indian restaurant I've been too. First class food and service - and really comfortable seating with private booths!

We regularly buy takeaway from balti house but unfortunately after our last order we will not be returning. The quality of food really seems to have gone downhill. The chicken meat on kebabs tastes dirty - like the grill needs a good clean. The pizzas are dripping with oil and you are lucky if you get it hot! This being either collection or take away.

Have ate at the Balti House many times. The owner cares about his customers and the 5 star hygiene rating reflects his attitude. As I understand it the BH tries to serve traditional asian cuisine and is thoughtful enough to allow kids and 'non-indulgers' to order from their takeaway menu that includes burgers and pizzas so it is truly an all-round restaurant. The Sunday buffet is great value but can be busy so please do book. I always enjoy the service and food here and strongly recommend a visit.

My wife and I ordered the Baltilicious tonight off the new menu. I can say it was one of the nicest meals we have had. It was full of different meats and the lamb chops were very tasty.

Called at 7:05 and ordered a small order of a mixed wrap and chips and it took nearly two hours to deliver 0.5 miles away. Customer service on phone was also poor as was given minimal and incorrect information. Wont order again after being a customer of 5 years. Would give a current rating of zero stars if possible

I ate at this restaurant while I was in Rishton on business in December and I was very impressed by the service.

Ordered through the bespoke website @ 1830 thought that it was a very professional web site which provided updates. @ 20:30 phone to find out where the Oder was. We were informed that it’s was on its way 44 minutes later food arrived. We did get an apology to say that it was busy and they did the best they could . Food cold and nans burnt can anyone recommend a good replacement restaurant to deliver as the food and service did not live up to our expectations

This restaurant serves lovely authentic cuisine, we have eaten in 3 times now and ordered a delivery twice. All experiences have been excellent. The food portions are very generous , freshly cooked and always hot.

Yet another fantastic meal from the Balti. This time a takeaway.

Ordered online after an hour and 15 minutes called to ask where my food was, lady said won't be long. An hour later still handnt arrived so called again. Lots of messing on phone poor girl didn't know what to say and said she would call me back. That never happened and 2 hours later my takeaway finally arrived, not a happy customer. To point out I had a similar experience years ago and eventually my takeaway turned up cold so I boycotted the place. After trying you again and getting about 3 good deliveries you have started letting me down again. Well won't be happening again more fool me!

He estado viniendo a la casa balti desde que abrió en 2001-2002, es mi primera elección para llevar! La comida siempre es caliente y cocinado a la perfección, yo también he visitado el restaurante en varias ocasiones y, de nuevo, el servicio y la comida genial! El personal es muy atento y nada es demasiado problema!

Fuimos a dar un paseo y me encontré con este sitio muy acogedor. Excelente servicio, excelente comida a precios muy especialmente la semana curry especial. Postres estupendos.

Visiting the area for the first time. Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager Armani as he introduced himself to me and my husband. We sat down to order our drinks as we looked through the menu.Our food was lovely. Service was second to non. BUT we couldn't help but wonder why the manager seemed a little funny. Turned out he was drinking as we could smell it on him. He was trying to get a little too close to me every time my husband went out for a smoke, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I am surprised that the owners didn't kick him out. What a joke of a place.I had to create a TripAdvisor account just to comment about this place because of how traumatised it made me. The food was just about average. The other waiters did a great job at serving, but other than that we are NEVER returning again.-Sam

This Indian restaurant never fails to serve excellent quality meals. Ever visit we have here the food is of a top quality and the service friendly and welcoming.This is the best Indian restaurant for miles around, and well worth visiting if you haven't yet tried it.

Arrived early, first people to sit down. Had to wait 5 minutes until anybody came reception, then was seated, only us in the place. Ordered food and drinks, had to wait 20 Mins until drinks arrived, took about 30mins until the chuckney tray came out. Very poor chuckney tray, only 3 selections, one was just chopped onion, worst selection I've encountered in a curry house. The mains arrived, two where ordered off the "chefs recommendations" section of the menu, hot currys but came out mild and pretty tasteless and cold. The other curry was a korma, which my daughter found two hairs in and this dish was sent back, and replaced. No offer of taking this off the bill. Definitely will not be returning

Local to the area but not visited before. Was a but worried to see it so empty on a Saturday night, but the food was plentiful and delicious. Staff couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and attentive. Noticed that the local council gave it a 5/5 hygiene rating too, much better than some others in the area!

Fantastic meal as always, usually visit at the weekend with family or friends. The staff as always totally hospitable and very obliging. Cannot fault this place. A**************** all the way. Love it :) :) :) :)

Been to this restaurant loads and have always been happy. Had no problems choosing it to celebrate my birthday on new years eve. Turned our the online booking system let us book a table when it shouldn't have - not my problem? I was made to feel like it was. I was made to feel like they were doing me a favour in letting me and my family stay and spend my money there. Our party of 7 which included 3 kids were split over two tables. We were told we had two hours to eat and leave the restaurant. We had two minutes to view the menu before the miserable and impatient, eye rolling, sighing manager was at our tables rushing us to order. The waiters who brought the food were equally miserable and food was plonked down. One of our sons made a comment to the waiters about them having nice food which was blanked. All in all it was a really poor experience. I messaged the restaurant in FB to let them know how miffed I was and no apology was offered. Needless to say we won't be going again. No doubt they made so much money this festive season they don't care about the views of individuals like me.

Ordered this at 18:30pm and this didn't arrive until 21:10pm and it was all stone cold. We had to phone twice and told both times it was ready and that the next delivery driver would bring it. We only live down the road so for this time nearly take 3 hours and for the food to be cold is pretty appalling. We usually love Balti House but we won't be coming here again.

This place has to be tried for you to realise how good it is and what you've been missing.We've eaten at most Indian restaurants in and around Blackburn and this is the best, the food is of excellent quality and there is always service with a smile. You can also bring your own drinks to the restaurant if you wish.We have also eaten from the takeaway and this is also equally as good, the pizzas and kebabs are as good as you'll find anywhere.We will be back again.

Been going to The Balti House for years and I can honestly say you cannot fault this place.The deco is lovely, and the staff are all very helpful and welcoming, the food is out of this world(especially there Chicken Tikka Masala!) I Would not hestitate in recommending this fantastic restaurant to anybody! X

DO NOT order chicken fillet burgers from here! They come soggy, greasy salad, full thing falling apart! Feeezing cold and chips tasted like they were last nights! Not something you want after looking after your 11 week old baby all day and having no time to eat, absolute let down. I only ate it because I was literally starved, otherwise I would have left it. Disgusting. Highly DO NOT recommend😷

The food is always great when I dine here; especially the Karahi Chicken and Peshwari naan. The food is great value for money, whether you dine in or take away.The staff here are also extremely friendly.The restaurant is mostly made up of booths which makes the dining experience a lot more private which is a bonus.

Dreadful, where to begin? I ordered food at 6.30pm and says it's gonna be here for 7.10pm, the time is just past 8pm and it's only just come the food is cold and my pizza box is so squashed that my pizza topping is stuck to the top side of the box, barely edible and mashed up, chips are cold. Apparently somebody wrote the number 20 down for my home address when it clearly states the number 12 on the website as my address number. This is the second time the food has taken over 80 mins to get to me from this place, I usually enjoy it but the last two times have been abysmal. Will be taking my money elsewhere.

I had curry which was good, my partner had a burger which was extremely expensive for a takeaway, £4.50 for quarter pounder burger and £1.20 extra for chips!! He said the salad in it was really greasy and burger overdone
