The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

First time we ordered from Unique Spice was because our usual didn't answer their phone, which is now their loss as we had our second delivery last night and Unique Spice is by far the best place to order your food from in Dartford, by a long shout. Both deliveries have been within 30 minutes, food is piping hot and full of flavour, I won't order from anywhere else from now on.

I booked a table for 15, the service and food was spot on. We will be back later in the year.

We recently celebrated our anniversary on our trip to London and stopped in for a 2:30 reservation. This meal was one of the highlights of our vacation from the US and we will remember the food for many years to come! Our server Shakel took very attentive care of our table. The food was so delicious and creative and plated esquisitely. Bursting with flavor and the perfect spice level. Great value for the Spring tasting Menu! Look forward to coming back on future trips. The ambiance is so sophisticated set in a library in such a historic place. Takes you back in time with modern decor and amenities.

Absolutely brilliant service, hosting our wedding party for family and friends. Really accommodating to all of our asks, and everyone left happy and full - delicious food all round for us.

Always a great curry here. Attentive, friendly service puts you at ease instantly. The Khatta Meetha Chicken is my go-to dish as it is pleasantly spiced without too much heat. Well worth a visit, even though it is slightly off the beaten track.

Order was 2 hours late then arrived cold. Didn’t give money back. Avoid!!!

We have been to The Cochin restaurant and had a perfect meal tonight. Food was delicious. Staff were super friendly and polite. My personal favourite is Sea food platter. I would love to have this again. One of the best Indian restaurants in Bedford

My partner and I dined at Armaan for the first time last week following regularly reading great reviews on local Facebook pages. The reviews were very accurate indeed! We arrived around 6.30pm and the restaurant was very quiet - I expect it gets busier as the evening goes on. The waiter was very friendly and courteous and the restaurant had a very comfortable and spacious feel to it. To start, we ordered paneer pakora to share which was very generous and oozing with flavour. For the main, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was pleased to find that it could be customised to my taste - mild to moderate. My partner ordered the Karahi fish and also praised the infusion of spices. The main meals came with a sundry side and between us we opted for the pilau rice and naan - both great portion sizes for sharing. All the food was freshly cooked, not greasy and great value for money. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and independent restaurant experience with great prices.
