The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had!!! Great service and ambiance too. 10/10

An outstanding restaurant: great reception, friendly efficient service and some of the best Indian food I ever tasted, including visits to India north and south. A glitch with the booking time was rapidly resolved and drinks were on the house. Really looking forward to going back there again.

Food was not very good at all ,we ordered 2 chicken dishes and in both ( the chicken was dry,it seems like it had lamb in it and something that had no taste at all

Great food with plenty of choice on menu. Friendly service. Reasonable pricing. Nice atmosphere and focus was definitely given to in house diners. Recently, we’ve been to other restaurants where constant deliveries have been more of a focus for staff.

I always enjoy visiting Akrams the main reason the food is amazing. The service is excellent nothing is too much trouble. The food is cooked to how you like it so don’t worry about asking for a variation. I have been going for years and it’s always the same level of service from the same staff and that’s why I’ll keep going back. Great selection of vegetarian food and the place is always lively and buzzing.

Best takeaway around! Such great flavour on the tandoor meat dishes, amazing lamb chops and wheel kebab. I also love the Desi Punjabi dishes, chicken saag my fav but I also love daal chicken. The Bhajis are top notch!

1hour 40 minute wait wrong order and cold when it arrived what a joke .never again minimal refund offered

We dined for Mother’s Day lunch yesterday and we’re disappointed that there wasn’t an acknowledgment of Mother’s Day. However, the real disappointment was when we received the bill and discovered we’d been charged £25 for poppadoms and pickles, of which we didn’t stipulate how many we required. La Raj has always been on the pricey side but as the food is usually of excellent quality, it wouldn’t be an issue - we’ve also had numerous takeaways which you are required to collect and pay cash which isn’t always convenient. The price point is just to excessive and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Absolute best Indian food in Leeds! No debate whatsoever 👌🏼♥️ It’s packet friendly, warm and hospitality is great as well. I can totally see this place becoming a weekly visit
