Very nice restaurant. The buffet on Sunday is an attractive draw, but it would be most rewarding if the food was topped up, and actually hot. I don't get the regimental requirement in the need for the 'strict' plate policy. Surely washing up liquid isn't a luxury. Very family and group orientated so can get very noisy. I don't like the proprietor standing, observing and watching everything you do when near the buffet, but he does mean we'll. I would recommend but not sure if I would go again, what with it going up from £12 to £14.95 and a can of coke at £3.50.

ate buffet, didnt like it, naan burnt, curry too sweet, bhaji too hard, fried aubergine dark and no taste, rice pudding too runny and too sweet. not impressed with buffet. wont be coming for it again. i dont know what things on the menu are like. i dont recommend buffet. it s halal so no juices in the meat… big difference. this is bengali, not indian, in my experience indian are best restaurants then pakistani then bengali are worst.

We called in to this little gem of a restaurant tonight as we were too tired to travel in to the city. WOW! How glad we are that we did. Absolutely amazing flavors - easily as good as the delightful meals that we have eaten in India. Service was discreet and prompt and the atmosphere laid back and relaxed. Sadly we are here only here for a couple of days, if this restaurant were closer to our home town we would become regular customers!

Hadn't eaten here before although my friends had. I was bowled over by the quality of the meal. The food, and we only ate vegetable dishes, was notably fresh and beautifully cooked. The staff were efficient and extremely welcoming and friendly. I will eat here again as soon as the occasion presents itself. Excellent.

Indian cuisine (especially Goan cuisine) wasnt so great. Xacuti & vindaloo wasn’t tasting the way it should be tasted. It was a plain simple ordinary chicken / prawn curry. Also was bit disappointed with cleanliness of plates & cutleries too. Over all atmosphere is good & the newly joined waiter was sweet.

We visited at lunchtime today. The food was amazing. So fresh and perfectly cooked. The waiter was fantastic. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Just finished a delicious takeaway from India Grill. My wife enjoyed the creamy Begum Masala (aubergine curry with yogurt). The vegetable biryanis were great too. Add to that generous portions, crisp and dry papadoms and lovely fluffy naan- that is why I keep returning.

Simply up there with the best Indian food I've ever eaten, everything was fresh and cooked to order⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No joke but if you are looking for a decent curry don't go here. I live in the Midlands and this place wouldn't last a week. Never seen food like it. That is not a naan bread. Jalfrezi, I don't think so

Went to collect the takeaway on a Friday night and got home to find out it’s mouldy! I called them and all they had to say was oh don’t know how that happened but thanks for letting us know!!! Will never be going back!

We love to come to India Grill for a quick lunch. The food is always amazing and staff very lovely. You can also bring your own drinks. They serve the best naan bread I've ever had. Will be definitely coming back again!

Mo and his team were fantastic. They came and checked in on us during and after the meal and made sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our food; the signs of great hospitality. The chicken korma was sweet and delicious, as was the naan bread; you could tell they'd been made with love. They are very generous with portion size too. My friends and I will definitely be returning in the near future. Thanks Mo!

This place carries on nourishing the masses during the Covid 19 emergency by providing excellent takeaway food and they also deliver within a 6 or 7 mile radius. Vegetable birianies are delicious and we also always enjoy fresh papadums and naans. Their website is good and easy to use for ordering and paying for takeaways with minimal social contact. Highly recommended.

He estado viviendo en las áreas de Arnos Grove por más de un año y he ordenado a India Grill comer y llevar muchas veces y la comida nunca me decepciona. Todo está cocinado a la perfección hasta el arroz pilau, y los currys y las parrillas son deliciosos.¡Muy recomendable!

Acabo de pedir una comida para llevar de la India Grill haber comido allí muchas veces.Esta noche la comida entregada fue excelente. Todos los platos se habían preparado y cocinado en forma fresca, por lo que los diferentes sabores se complementaban entre sí, sin que un plato superara al otro.El pescado al curry de tomate era excelente, con cebolla, ajo, talapia fresca y muchos tomates. Saag Bhaji estaba húmedo y sublimamente condimentado con ajo picado. El arroz Pliau era delicado con vainas de cardamomo que aparecieron en la boca. Todo ello complementado con un ajo y un coriandro naan. Todo llegó dentro del tiempo citado y estaba muy caliente. Felicitaciones al chef y al personal de India Grill que se preocupan por su comida y sus clientes.

Llevé a mi familia a una cena improvisada el domingo por la noche, ya que la comida india más joven buscaba y esta es nuestra "casa de curry" local. Mi herencia de fondo es el indio bengalí, y el camarero de Bangladesh parecía bastante sorprendido al ver a una familia mayormente de color castaño caminando. Aunque era realmente agradable e increíblemente atento y considerado, sin ser molesto.El buffet era pequeño pero perfectamente adecuado. Nunca había demasiado de un plato, y todo se reponía con frecuencia, por lo que siempre estaba fresco. Las alas tandoori eran definitivamente mi cosa favorita allí, pero los pakoras de pollo y el daal también eran encantadores. Muy buen arroz pulao y naans frescos encantadores para acompañar. También vale la pena señalar que la comida no está muy salada.Fue un buen toque cuando el camarero me trajo un chutney "especial" para los poppadoms, porque sintió que me gustaría. Tuve el Masala verde y mi marido tenía el Korma. Muy sutil en el uso de las especias, y verdaderamente delicioso. Había mucha gente en el restaurante y también ofrecen un buffet que parecía incluir muchos platos interesantes. Amplio menú con buena relación calidad-precio. Vamos a volver aquí de nuevo!

We visited based on other feedbacks. The food was ok nothing fancy. A lot of work needs to be done to fix up the place. As for the pricing, it is extremely overpriced.

Absolutely love going to The Indian Grill, the food never disappoints and the owner is lovely! Affordable and it makes it even better that it's a 3-minute walk down the road! I would 100% recommend! My housemates and I love it!

Formulario de entrega la Parrilla india última noche. Nada penetrante o sutil o incluso picante a placer. El aperitivo de gambas puré estaba mal condimentada y dominado por el ajo. La principal langostino dhansak era bastante simple y aburrido, pequeñas gambas correoso en una salsa de algo fuerte, no hay ponche, sin calor, sin profundidad. Coliflor bajee tenía un sabor poco como la sag aloo. En general sencilla y mediocre, no una simple plato ataca las alturas o era remotamente memorable. Las raciones estaban bien. Un curry si no eres demasiado quisquilloso y tienen apagados papilas gustativas. Aunque me decepcionó.

Éramos casi las únicas personas allí para el almuerzo, así que tuvimos una gran comida, tanto como pudimos comer en el bar. Una gran elección: algunos picante algunos no, y mi hijo subió tres veces para recargar! Sabroso y recién hecho. El único inconveniente es que no tienen licencia, así que si quieres beber, tienes que traer tu propia bebida alcohólica. Parece que tienen una nueva administración, porque él era joven, ¡y los últimos no!

Visitamos este sábado un almuerzo ya que se abrió al mediodía. Era conveniente para el tubo al otro lado de la calle para un huésped que tenía que tomar un tren e ir parecía tener buenas críticas.

The food selection and staff at the Sunday buffet has got to be the best in north London.. onion banjos the size of your fist.. beautifull and crunchy... poppadoms with dips,veggie selection and wonderfull curries.. fab

Ha habido algunos cambios aquí, especialmente la no aceptación de plástico y sin licencia (traiga su propio alcohol) pero la cocina sigue siendo tan buena como la recuerdo y las porciones generosas. Mi biriany vegetal tenía la cantidad justa de calor picante y era posible identificar los sabores individuales de los componentes de curry. Misceláneas realmente buenas incluyendo papadums crujientes secos y naan esponjoso fresco.

We called here late on after going to watch the darts at Ally Pally, The service was good,the food was very nice indeed,very flavoursome,you can't get alcoholic drinks so bring your own,would I go again if in London?yes for sure.

He estado usando este indio desde hace un tiempo y la comida siempre es fantástica. Normalmente recibo una entrega los fines de semana y en el pasado descubrí que faltan algunos elementos. Sin embargo, en las últimas 2 semanas, cuando llamé allí, parece que hay un chico nuevo que contesta el teléfono. Él es muy claro al tomar el pedido y también lee el pedido para que no haya ningún error. Mis amigos también vinieron el fin de semana pasado y dijeron que los atendió un inglés regordete que fue fantástico y les hizo sentir muy bienvenidos, y por cierto lo describieron y cómo habló. Estoy seguro de que es el mismo tipo que respondió el teléfono cuando llamé. El personal siempre ha sido cordial y amistoso allí, pero la incorporación a su personal es muy agradable de ver y estoy seguro de que jugará un papel importante en impulsar su negocio. Ordered coconut ice cream. I got nan bread instead. No communication was made to tell me they didn't have it and would I like something else. They just gave me nan bread which I don't like. Passanda curry was not nice I have had better from competitors of theirs and will not be ordering again from this company again

After moving to Muswell Hill one of our priorities was to find a good indian take away , after nearly a year and trying at least 10 Indian takeaways without finding a good one and thinking it wasn't to be, the Curry Gardens menu popped through my door.

food was excellent but delivery time was misleading when we ordered it said 45-60 mins, as soon as we ordered the restaurant doubled the delivery time adding a further 45 minutes, i would much rather we had a more honest delivery time quoted in the first place and we may have thought twice about ordering, regardless the food was very good and they gave us extra beer which is always good.

I ordered food on a Saturday at 7:30pm and it didn't arrive until 9:20pm even though delivery slot said it would be 50 mins approx.

Ordered two curries. One was bland had no flavour and the other just full of chilli powder, no other substance to the curry. The prawn puree wasn't nice either, again no flavour. I wouldn't order again.

Unfortunately I will not be going here again. New driver got lost even though I live a mile away. Took another 40 mins for him to find me. Phoned restaurant to cancel order and they have flagged as delivered! Never took the food but still charged!

They don't make them like this anymore. Inviting, intimate little place run by a true gent, Hossain. I had some incredibly tasty dishes - you have to try the Shampur (Chicken) Chat Puri starter (squeeze the lemon over it). If you've tasted better than this, I want to know where. I had a great meal, with friendly service and interaction (with Hossain) and it was ridiculously cheap at bill time. Fast becoming a regular.

We have ordered from here for years and normally is really great. Sadly this last order was really disappointing. The naan bread was burnt and wet, the mango chutney was a very weird texture and didn't taste normal. We ordered 2 poppadoms and normally are given extra, but this time we had just two that were very salty and stale. We also normally get a free small salad but nothing this time either. Overall this meal was really disappointing and we will order elsewhere from now on.

This place looked good and I was impressed with the website, particularly the fact that you could specify the time of delivery for takeaways. Considerably less impressed when our meal turned up an hour early, while we were still putting the children to bed! And even less impressed when the delivery driver said it wasn't his problem and refused to take the order back. When we called to complain nobody we spoke to seemed to understand the problem or offer an solution or refund, so we ended up eating lukewarm curry - which was nice enough but rather marred by the poor customer service. There's no point having a nice looking website and giving people the option to specific time of delivery if it doesn't work in practice. Shame as it could have been good but we won't be going back.

We had the rudest delivery driver. We live in a top floor flat and it takes me a second to get all the way down. He rung the bell a few times. One was sufficient and then started wrapping on the letter box of our shared door possibly even ringing her bell. The lady that we share the door with has issues with mental illness and was livid at the noise and intrusion. She argued with me for a while after he had gone but not before he had been very rude to my face. Will probably never order from them again .

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and without doubt this restaurant is by far the nicest Indian food you could eat for miles around (except boulevard- that is also very nice), however despite the quality of the food, the extremely poor service and rudeness from the waiting staff, put us off returning.The owner is a lovely person, such a shame the staff he employs let's him and his restaurant down.When will restaurants understand that the quality of their staff is just as important as the quality of their food - sometimes I wonder why these waiters are even in the hospitality business.

I abstain from writing restaurant reviews until I have a good knowledge or rapport with the food, just for a consistent rating.I have been going here for around 2 years, sometimes eat-in, sometimes the sunday buffet, but mainly take-away... you know what, I have never had a bad dish, I'm not saying it's all great or the best but I have never had a bad dish, I would say if there is anything they could really improve upon would be their breads, but that's just saying they're very average, so if you go to a curry house for bread maybe go somewhere else.The thing I find more so with Indian restaurants more than anything is consistency, the chef changes, the owner changes etc, here that has happened but the food hasn't suffered, I don't always buy the same thing (I do often get the mixed grill as a big 'side for two' as it comes with bread) and I have been around the menu a fair bit, some of it is very good, some of it is just 'good', very little is average and none of it is bad.I find that when you can openly order and move away from what are your core safe options and not be at all disappointed then you have a great take-away, these guys do a great job in keeping me happy in an area of sub-standard take-away's like the chain of Bengal Berties which I have often had issue with.If you want a curry that's satisfying yet not breaking ground in the foodie stakes then you're on a winner here for sure, and just one last thing, it's cheaper than most as well!

Such a rude delievery driver did not even offer to give me back my change a d left thinking i was tipping him and never replied to saying goodbye. The food was upside down could not eat as all the chicken tikka was all over the bread and popodoms. Never again. Need to learn how to talk and act with customers, very very disapointed never ordering again

I have been a customer for 15+ years. Food is always great but lately delivery time has been poor. 1.5 hours for food is a joke. It needs to be sorted.

I've been a regular customer for the best part of 30 years . In that time it's had ups and downs under various owners but currently is top notch . Seem to have stopped the Sunday buffet which is a shame but are always very busy with takeaways generated from the various apps . As a great fan of tandoori dishes I am never disappointed. Virtually opposite Arnos Grove tube station.

Didn't get what I ordered. Deliver man was rude when I asked him about the order. So I called the restaurant and the person who was apparently the 'manager' was also very rude to me. And the food wasn't even nice it was cold and bland. Can get better food from other restaurants and cheaper as well with more polite people.

Good quality and size of portions, but arrived 15 mins late and without poppadoms (which had been ordered and paid for). Didn't bother to phone and inquire as such a small omission, but still missing nonetheless.

We go here regularly for the Sunday buffet and order take away too. The food is amongst the best of its type in North London IMO. Particularly good pakoras, onion bhajis and fish dishes too. Owner / Chef is a very nice man. Can't imagine you'd ever have a bad meal from this place. We've not had one in 3 years or more of regular visits.

Whilst the food here was not bad it certainly wasn't good either. All a bit bland with pre prepared sauces that all taste a bit the same. Far too much on the menu for me which normally means they are trying to please everybody rather than produce outstanding food. Bombay Aloo best dish i think as it was a bit more standout but only just. Nan was hugely disappointing as although it looked good on the outside was just too doughy on the inside . Rogan Ghost not too bad either. Service was very good and friendly so cant fault that. If your starving hungry or had a few too many lagers this could be the ideal place as you only have to stumble out the station to get there. If you are looking for an above average Indian that takes a bit of care and pride in its food , this is not for you
