The Poppadom in Enfield

We had the worst ever experience on Tuesday of last week . The food was seagull full of red additives totally unhealthy. We were confronted by a very rude manager/ owner who Cowardly never gave his name. This explains a restaurant which at one time was excellent had gone into liquidation and is currently run by incompetence persons. What a shame Enfield has lost at one time outstanding restaurant. Nice. Inexpensive meal, good service

We were the only ones there, but times are tough. The bread was grey and the rest of the food i on this occasion decided the average, but times are very tough I’ll give it another go but it needs music and cold beverages and that would make such a difference. Thank you very much for understanding.

The atmosphere was not exactly the best I’ve experienced when munching away at a good old-fashioned curry We munched away at several different variations of beige dishes The chicken methi was the best However, with no music in the background and being the only couple in the room we felt it was awkward. The beer was also warm. I’ve got a feeling I would go again. I’m just going to speak to The extremely nice chap running the ship. Explain in detail what I would like to taste when munching away on a good old fashioned curry

Had a brilliant time here, the staff are accommodating, funny and professional! Came for my dad’s birthday and they sang for him and gave him cake! Great food - lovely local restaurant!

I've eaten here for years with various friends/family. We happen to be vegan and they always cater to us with plenty of menu options too. Food is delicious and great value for money. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Went for a friend’s birthday. Food was delightful and delicious as always. The owner was kind enough to bake us a cake and give to our friend. Will definitely come back again.

Booked a table for five people last night at 8:30pm. Arrived and they were closed, did not even have the courtesy to call me and let me know. Ruined our evening

We saw that this place had good reviews and took a chance for a visit, we were not disappointed. To look at this seems like a very ordinary 'Indian' restaurant with a fairly small number of tables and a very large menu (which is not usually a good sign). The first thing that stands out was the rapid and friendly service, there is no waiting to be spotted here. The second thing was the speed of the food, clearly this means there is a good element of mix, heat and serve, however when done well this works, as it does here. The third thing is the portion sizes, they are generous and you could easily over order. The fourth thing is the heat, some of the dishes fight back - in a good way. We were pleased that we came here and will come back again.

Amazing place, the manager is a very good man, realised we placed a very basic order and surprised us with a little plate of some delicious food for us to try something new! 😁 Food was tasty, atmosphere nice and chill, very cosy little place. Would return!

This was my first time eating there and the food was not fresh at all and u could easily tell from the first bite.

Very tasty food, but the delivery was very late (there was an England match that evening). Some of the food spilt on the way to us, which was disappointing. We let the restaurant know by email as feedback but they have not responded weeks later.

The service and food quality at Poppadom has been consistently decent for around 20 years. All the classic dishes are included on a big menu with something for everyone and my favourite Naga chilli dishes too

Excellent food and fantastic service. Portions are huge! The food is taste and filled with flavour. Dishes taste different….not the normal meat and hot sauce. You can taste the spice and it’s not overwhelming. Friendly but not intrusive staff. Looking forward to going back.

Got a takeaway based on recommendation. Ordered paneer shashlik, tarka dal, saag aloo. All of it was quite bland, the paneer was overcooked and hard, and the tarka dal tasted mainly of burnt garlic. Maybe they put more effort into their meat dishes, but I was disappointed and won't be going back. Delivery was speedy, though.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now and I have had the same quality of service and food each time. Very impressed.

Lovely food at good prices in a very good atmosphere. Staff are genuinely very friendly and helpful. Be patient as they are usually very busy, so always good to book. Take away also very good.

Still waiting for my refund 10/03/2024 after ordering, calling, messaging and hours later finally receiving a call, in which I was told you would refund me. You took the pending payment from my account and have not responded to multiple contacts since asking about my refund. Really poor service, incredibly frustrating and time consuming. Would be really redeeming when something goes wrong to honour the refund you promised, instead it's gone from bad to worse.

The manager was very attentive and helpful when we were ordering as we required a gluten-free, dairy free meal. A curry was created for me and it was delicious!

Excellent customer service! And Azad the manager cooked a meal personally himself for my wife as she is gluten and Dairy free.

Great tasting meal, excellent service, I had a lamb hanyara curry which had a fresh and deep flavour. Naans and roti were also very tasty. Lovely mango lassi.

The staff are fantastic. Very friendly. Just a little gripe, the King Prawns in one of our main dish were tiny and were few and far between - disappointing. I wondered if they are cutting them up to make them go further. Friend had chicken dish. This was tasty. Also, maybe ask your customers if the food is ok and they are happy. This was lacking. Staff so friendly though and very busy restaurant.

Your perfect place for Bangladeshi and Indian food in Enfield Chase. Good food, friendly staff, and excellent service. The staff looks after and knows many visitors. I traveled from Cuffley for the experience. Highly recommended!

The first time I came here was 2017 with my dad and we were greeted with a smile and a shot of courvoisier! Since then I’ve been here multiple times with friends and family. It’s literally like eating at home! It’s an intimate space with the friendliest staff. Service with a smile everyday! Even if I move out of the area I’ll always come back
