We have been visiting the Enfield Tandoori for over 30 years, the food is amazing and Sam the owner and all his staff and the chef are the friendliest people you will ever meet, I have recommended friends and they have never been disappointed. .

Lovely local tradional resturant, been many times, owner always welcoming and knows everyone from face value. Food is always on point, lamb jalfrezi is my go to eveytime perfect for a couple or groups and value for money!

Excellent restaurant. Had lamb chops with saag bahji, started with prawn puri, all very good. Chops massive, but could've done with a bit more seasoning, in saying that, they were lovely. Very busy on a Saturday evening, with repeat customer's and take away orders Highly recommended. Paul

My experience here was a welcome surprise. Both the food and service were excellent. For starters I had the prawn puri (£6.95), the prawns were cooked perfectly, nice and soft. For mains I had Goan green chicken curry (£11.95), on the sweeter and milder side but delicious. Accompanied by special fried rice (£4.95) and a dryish saag bhaji (£4.95). All washed down with a double whisky (£9.50 ish). A restaurant I will return to.

We came here without a booking on a Friday night and we was welcomed in to a nice large table. They brought us poppadoms without asking which is a lovely start. The menu isn't the largest or necessarily had what I was looking for however there was still plenty to choose from and the dishes we did get were all cooked brilliantly and packed full of flavour, we was not disappointed at all and said as soon as we finished we definitely will be returning! All very responsibly priced too.

We used to go here as teens, and always go back. The nicest crew, tastiest curry in Enfield.

There’s a lot of good reviews on here for these. All I can say is that those who’ve waxed lyrical about this place are in for an absolute treat when they stumble across an actual good Indian takeout or even an average one for that matter !!!! I had A meagre portion in size with small pieces of Chicken Tikka Dhansak, very watery and on the soupy side but no problem.. it was largely tasteless, so no appetite for a proper size serving anyway. Rice was ok, sagg aloo was bland, keema naan was limp and sweaty. Can’t fault the service though and they do have a 5 star hygiene rating.

And so 10 dashing connoisseurs descended on a former haven which we had not visited in over two years; emotions and nerves were understandably at a high. We were greeted with poppadoms and an assortment of delicious dips and beers. As we became accustomed to our pleasant surroundings, it became clear that while the classic menu remained unchanged, long gone was the devious trickster waiter of old. But with him, so were the curries we had grown to love. I tested five different curries - bhuna, passanda, naga CTM, karai and butter chicken - only the passanda hit the spot. The chicken tikka masala was easily more bland than a Tesco value equivalent while the bhuna was runny and unlike any I had seen previously. Poor showing. The naans were very good, generous in size and soaked up our lacklustre curries nicely. The rice was neither outstanding nor underwhelming - but did the job. The Gareth Barry of carbohydrates. Excellent service from very friendly staff ensured we still had a great time - with the exception of one connoisseur who had to wait the entire length of the meal due to a forgotten order of a sizzla. Sorry ET, ol’ chap, seems like you’ve lost your mojo.

I've been coming regularly to this amazing restaurant and well let me tell you it's the best I've ever been too, the owner who reminds me of my brother in his personality is warm and friendly and gives off family like inviting vibes, always fits me and my Mrs in even on a busy Saturday evening which seems to be 7 o'clock, the food is the best I've ever eaten with very reasonable prices and with excellent portions. The owner even made a special sizzling main into a starter for us which completely blew us away, all the staff are amazing and welcoming and nothing is too much, thank you guy's my go to place for good.

After getting takeaways from here for over 20yrs we thought it would be nice to eat in. Omg the worst ever. I was actually sick in the restaurant as my food was faul! Never again! Sadly lost a customer

Friendly staff. 5 veggie mains to choose as well as an egg curry which is rare find. They sell Kingfisher and prices are reasonable. Restaurant decor is nice enough. Will definitely be going again.

Amazing Food and Amazin Staff and this has been true for 15+ years. Whether it is eating in or takeaway the quality always remains.

Went to Dine in and wanted to order some rice item only. But waiter said, if not ordering the main course, you can't dine in. So not recommended for people going alone who is having less appetite

Family favourite best Indian in Enfield

We've been going to Enfield Tandoori for over 10 years, eating in and taking away. Lovely friendly service from all the staff and reliable excellent food. Good variety of dishes but not so large that they cannot be cooked freshly to order. We always thoroughly enjoy our meals served by this jewel of an Indian Restaurant.

Justifiably renowned for the quality and range of the food, although I would counsel against visiting on a Friday or Saturday night: it gets so busy that you may wait for an hour for your grub. This small niggle aside, go, go, go.

Very good flavoursome Indian food. Nice friendly staff. Lots of choice on the menu with a large variety of curries. Very good service. Prices are very reasonable. Good atmosphere. I recommend this Indian Restaurant to anyone who loves Indian food!

Whilst the food was satisfactory I am at a loss how an increase of over 24% can be justified. I can only assume that the owner is trying to recoup lost revenue due to recent lockdowns but that is so short sighted because I for one won't use them again & I hope everyone else votes with their feet.

Soooo good. I’ve been trying to find a decent Indian in this area for a while and this is by far the best. Apparently the same chef for 30 years and you can tell, great authentic food, fantastic service and definitely a place I’ll continue returning to. Very happy customer!

Good, solid Indian with the usual fare. Been going for years and has been a consistent standard.

Tried calling and the gentleman on the phone was really curt when I asked him to help guide us through what’s recommended on the menu. He told me to decide myself and call back. I did literally five minutes later and he told me they were closed, although the site said they were opened. As a patient of cancer going through chemo I have a rare appetite and find it difficult to get hungry so I am deeply disappointed by the way the gentleman on the phone talked to me and dismissed our order. Really arrogant he was in my opinion. Was looking forward :(

I don't eat out a lot but when I do, I like to have an Indian meal. I have used several different restaurants in my area but always found this to be the best. I now don't bother to try elsewhere to avoid disappointment. Good food, service and very hospitable staff.

Our first time at this local restaurant. A lively atmosphere and great food. Starters included complimentary popadum with chutney, pickle and salad, then we shared the mixed starter. Mains were really tasty and everything was very fresh. With drinks and tip it came to about £20 each.

As an Indian this is the worst Indian restaurant ever. The food item like Samosas are prepared from pre packaged grocery and just reheated. Prawn curry was the tiniest little shrimp we have ever eaten. The saag paneer was coconut based w sugar. No one makes saag paneer like this. Saag means more spinach and less cream. Even the paneer was tofu and not paneer. This place is really fooling the locals who don’t know any better. Lastly, service was rude...we felt bad for one waiter and still paid tip for this awful food.

Went here with a couple of friends who invited us out. We had a nice meal where each one of us ordered 1 thing which we all tried. The food was great and the staff helpful and friendly. You have to book as it is busy before 9pm but after that there were tables available.

Excellent butter chicken , the lamb and duck dishes were good but a bit too mild , the veggie Saag was good. The naan was outstanding. We had to wait to be seated even with a reservation but it was very much worth it. The service at the table was great and the price was very reasonable.

I have been going to Enfield Tandoori for years and love the food served in this restaurant. I have now relocated to Hertfordshire but still consider this indian as my “local”. Every time there is an event to celebrate (birthday, anniversary, valentine etc) it is a treat to come back here. Food is tasty & service is great.

Not only are the staff here very friendly, but the food is great. They are very accommodating with deliveries and takeaways and their food has not been a disappointment yet.

Best place for a curry it has a great cozy atmosphere and the food is amazing & better than any other Indian restaurant I've been too and I've been to so many even in Birmingham. I had the vegetarian option because i dont eat meat and its just so incredibly tasty. service is friendly and quick and it doesn't cost the earth as it's very reasonable price wise so I give it 10 out of 10 seriously the food is so tasty and it's a great place to bring friends and family together you can't go wrong!

A BRILLIANT restaurant, with beautiful food and great owners and staff. I've been coming here for 25 years now and i have never had any complaints. Try the Naga CTM its delicious mind you its all great. Thanks guys here's to the next 25 years👍

Been here once for a work do, food was good, bit dull and dark inside I suppose to create a romantic mood :) Fair value and food.

Was bowled over completely. Had the Sunday buffet, and was pleasantly surprised. Not a huge selection, but everything I wanted was there, and in a very good quality. Friendly and professional staff. Will be back again !

I went here with a group of friends (10) and we found the experience very enjoyable. The waiters were very attentive and the food very good quality.
