Very good first impression . Nicely decorated comfortable spacious seating area and friendly welcome We were impressed with the food really tasty served fresh and hot . Especially enjoyed the chicken madras Bombay aloo and rice . Garlic naan was delicious . Off street parking is a big plus

A group of ladies chose this local restaurant, which had decent reviews. The food was disappointing, and the service left a lot to be desired. One member of staff was particularly rude and unfriendly. He seemed irritated by us wanting to wait for our final guest to arrive. One dish was presented and given the wrong name, he corrected it, we can only assume that it was the dish ordered. Given that all the curry sauces looked the same, I'm not sure how one is supposed to know. Some of the party described the food as bland. When paying, one of our party asked to see the payment console. She was rudely told that she needn't worry because she would get a receipt. We are local people but will not return to such an unfriendly establishment. So that's 6 families you have lost.

Food simply amazing and beautiful atmosphere- Ate here with a large group. Even though the restaurant was fully packed the waiters were so attentive. Food was on point and I don’t think there’s a better Indian in the Winchmore Hill & Southgate area

One of the waiters ruined the whole experience by being rude. I have a sensitive stomach I didn't feel right after the food for 3 whole days. Couldn't stomach anything. 🤢

I've been coming to VT for many years now. The staff are friendly and always on hand. The food is excellent. I've tried many Indian restaurants and this is by far the best.

We were recommended the Village Tandoori by our next door neighbours. We went last Tuesday evening. The food was amazing and the staff are lovely. We will definitely be back.

Don’t waste your hard earned money, this place has been reduced to a scam. I bet they don’t even have an actual chef anymore and the poor waiters are having to cook the orders, at least that’s what it tastes like! Food, if you can call it that is absolutely inedible. 👎👎👎

Best Indian restaurant in London

Not been here for a while , but I have to say….the food was absolutely delicious, so fresh, tasty and not greasy. Our waiter was helpful and had good banter.

Food is ok, not great but not bad either. Staff are friendly and helpful but service is pretty slow even when the restaurant is not busy.

Still one of the best Indian restaurants. I had Chicken Sag Madras which was excellent with lots of lovely chicken and a great sauce

This place is a shame. They sold me the hardest piece of meat everyone couldn't even cut it, let alone chew. everything else was terribly bland. Really bad food, you can't trust these 5 star reviews.

Food is terrible, worst lamb chops I ever tried. Inedible as it is so hard you cant cut or chew. The other dishes were plain, Tesco meal has more taste than this. I can only think these other reviews are all made up. there is no way I am ever ordering or eating from this place ever again.

Food is excellent, great quality and tastes anmazing! Atmosphere is great for a family meal. Great vegetarian options, definitely the best Indian food I’ve had in North London! A favourite of mine that I look forward to whenever I visit my family in the area.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of parking right outside. Great atmosphere and service was very good as well. And to finish it all off the food was amazing and very well priced compared to others locally which I have visited recently. Have already booked again for next weekend!

I have ordered here many times over the years it has been very hit-and-miss. This is the worst I have ever experienced, expensive and nasty food made from cheap salty ingredients

Unfortunately we can't sit in but the service is friendly and currently take orders over the phone for takeaway. The servings are just right and very nice, they even offer extra spice for those who want it!

The food from Village Tandoori is amazing, it’s my go to for both takeaway and dine in. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food always tastes incredible and full of flavour. Really delicious curries. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Me and my family have going here for over 10 years, and we have always been pleased with the food and service. I would recommend this for any party, from couples looking for a romantic night out, to birthday dinners (kids included). I would especially like to say how Samir’s customer service is the best I have ever received, he always makes us feel so welcome and makes sure everything is up to standard. Can’t recommend enough.

Best indian restaurant in north London

It was the last day on the eat out to help out offer. We was driving past and thought we'd call to see if they had space. After a couple of mins on the phone they adjusted the bookings and made space for us. That was really nice from them, so a great start. The staff were very friendly, the menu has a great selection and everything tasted really good. I would happily return and recommend anyone to go here too.

Having decided to go out for a meal in the evening, we decided on Village Tandoori, as I’ve always been impressed by the food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant. In the present climate, what with COVID-19, we were both hopeful of social spacing within the restaurant, as well as precautionary measures. How refreshing to find Village Tandoori putting the customer first. The tables have been moved apart, while still keeping the ambience of the interior. Plus hand wash is available upon entry. The waiters wear disposable masks. Also the floor is marked for social spacing. Instantly our worries were put at ease. Thank you Village Tandoori! Moving on to the food. What can I say?!......first class. Succulent meat. Rich, fresh sauces. Crisp salads and presented on immaculate plates and pristine cutlery. The decor is tastefully done with a modern, yet warm vibe. Plus, the air is fresh and crisp due to a well maintained air conditioning unit. If you’re reading this debating on a visit. Go. You’ll not be disappointed.

this restaurant had a block booking of over 40 men paying £20 a head. All local. What a disappointment. there was not enough food and the meat dishes had very little meat in them and was all sauce. Personally speaking they should be ashamed of themselves. Poor value and they got greedy I believe. There was about 4-5 piece of chicken in a whole dish. They are ken to serve draft beer then that bottled probably as this also cheaper. What a shame.

Así que me alegro de que volví ya que la comida todavía estaba a la altura de un estándar alto. Parece que podría estar haciendo un viaje más allí.

El primer plato para 2 (Samosa / Kebab / Pollo Tikka y Cebolla Bharji) fue excelente y el tikka fue perfecto. Lamb Passanda Main fue realmente bueno. El servicio del personal fue bueno y los chicos nos ofrecieron un corto de elección en la casa para terminar una velada agradable.

my husband and I are very exoerienced with indian food. This place was recommended so ordered chicken bhuna and lamb phall with minimal oil. They delivered lamb bhuna instead of chicken bhuna but it tasted like plain lamb, no flavour just drowning in oil. Even the lemon rice and vegetable rice were drowned in oil, everything soaked through the bag onto our kitchen worktop it was so oily. There was also a dish we did not order but we didn't even open it because of the oil. The phall curry was so concentrated and thicj, it was really bad. We like very spicy food, but this was so thick it was like a concentrated curry paste, you could not eat this. The portions were also pretty skimpy. Would never ever order again, sloppy service, bad food, they only want your money.

This is our local curry restaurant and we always come for a nice family meal. The curry is excellent! There is a house special for four people which allows you to try lots of different starters and mains. They are all cooked to perfection. Service always with a smile and they regularly buy you a drink at the end of the night. Excellent little spot.

I went as part of large group, Friendly attentive service, excellent choice of dishes, those our group had were delicious. Prices reasonable. All in all a place to go back to.

Just got back from this local restaurant for a really nice evening dinner for Father's Day! Food is consistently good and always a friendly welcome from Ahmed and his staff. We will return soon.
