Eastend Tandoori in Walsall

During lockdown we have enjoyed a weekly takeaway delivered. Our usual order of Chicken Tikka Madras, Chicken Tikka Lemon Chilli, Chicken Shashlik, Bombay Aloo, Pilau Rice and different Nann breads. The food has been consistently brilliant for months, cannot fault the prompt and friendly service We have also tried other dishes all of equal quality. highly recommend the restaurant. 😊 Very happy customer Ver

Amazing food especially the butter chicken

WHEN YOU PAY FOR CONTACTLESS DELIVERY TO YOUR DOOR, I DON'T EXPECT TO GO DOWN STAIRS IN LOW RISE FLAT TO COLLECT MY ORDER.... 3/4 TIMES THE DELIVERY DRIVER KEPT RINGING OUR INTERCOM, SAYING HE WAS NOT COMING INSIDE.... IN THE END HE DID AFTER MY HUSBAND TOLD HIM TO TAKE IT BACK WE WILL HAVE REFUND.( OH THE FOOD WAS GOOD THANKS. )

I have got to say this is by far the worst food I have ever had delivered, had to call to see where my order was 1 minute later food turns up. Open the bag to find a pool of all un saundries at the bottom, cold food and inedible. I have never known a prawn that you can not actually chew threw, new one on me. Best part of the meal was throwing it in the bin. Never again

Possibly the worst tikka masala I've had. Thick, almost a burn, sweet, sickly taste..... Rice was nice, sheek keebab was good, onion bhaji was doughy and tastes undercooked. Waste of money.

Food is always earlier than expected how on earth do you get your early valentines nuptials in before the curry arrives. The portion sizes are massive. Have several words with yourselves....... Thank you

I have used this take away regularly over the years and have never had a problem but over the last 3 years I have not only been disappointed with the standard of the food I have also been disappointed with the owners attitude. I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt tonight and ordered some food. The food arrived the meat in the pathia was hard and burnt, the rice was burnt and the paneer seemed like it was stale and the food had spilt all over the bottom of the bag it arrived in. I called up politely to explain I wasn’t happy with the food for the owner to then tell me not to tell him how to cook to not ever call the restaurant again and to f**k off! This isn’t acceptable customer service I’ve never been spoken to in such a manner in my life. I also found this in my onion salad (please see picture).

I don’t know what went wrong but half of my main dish had came out of The container and into the bag Loose must’ve happened in transit so I wasn’t happy about that plus the rice was over cooked and my chips under cooked but the main was ok well what we had left of it. Careless delivery

Great food as always but forgot the onion salad so all my chutneys and poppadoms weren’t used. A one off though as Usually 100% spot on. Compliments to the chef 👍

Always good food and definitely recommend

Ordered a few things. Very oily saag paneer. Soggy poppadoms. Lots of meat in curry and really tender but just too hot for me. Bhajis were good. Not as top as the reviews are made out and fairly average.

Always enjoyed the food from here very good quality and staff so polite and nothing’s is ever too much, I’m sad to learn tonight that their closing after 27 years at end of September of business to retire .. I will really miss the food from here never had a bad meal .. good luck in your next stage in life x

Unfortunately the food had leaked in the bag and into the other food items. Delivery man said it was just oil but it definitely wasn't just oil, there was a pool of mixed sauces at the bottom. Wouldn't normally be a massive problem, however I was eating with someone who was unable to eat part of their order because my sauces had leaked on theirs. Ordered cauliflower baji but was not a baji and was a sauce. Overall the food was good, just a few things that can be fixed 👍

This is our local and we have never had a bad experience. Great food and great service. We do t have take away every often but if we have Indian, it’s always from here.

This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered from here, the 1st time was good, but not this time! I ordered a tandoori mix grill starter, the lamb was very tough and the chicken tikka was very dry and hard. Also ordered chicken tikka pathia, again the tikka meat was dry and hard, not like any other I’ve ever eaten, almost like it was stale and a few days old and not fresh. The sauce was quite tasty though. Also had a peshwari naan which was very nice. I will order from here again, but if the meat this rough the next time it will be the last. I appreciate that restaurants need to be competitive, but shouldn’t compromise the quality of their food. Don’t try to fob people off with cheaper meat as good quality, because you will lose customers and they will go elsewhere!

Food was later than estimated time, but was at very busy time of day. Food was very good. Pathia needed to be a bit hotter(spicier that is) although it was very tasty All in all pretty darn good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is our local curry house and If its take away or eat in it never disappoints. You can being your own drinks and there is always a friendly welcoming atmosphere and the staff are great. (We always take ages and they never rush us).. just a lovely place and always a good night.

Returned after a few years due to visiting people in area very very good family run restaurannt top quality food with a personal touch off the owner looking after you starters mains drinks 50 quid for 3 people well worth a visit

My girlfriend’s family and friends have always... always come to eastend. They have never ever had a bad comment about the food or service. I have soon known about this so tried the place & it is absolutely beautiful. Amazing! No bad words... as some people have commented. My girlfriend & her family and friends have been going there for over 10 years & no problems. Satisfied every single of time. !

Returned here after a good meal last time and on this occasion our meal was equally as good. Very tasty curries, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely return. Recommended

Food was not hot. Starter was dull, disappointing as normally good.

First time using eastend tandoori restaurant. Ordered the food around 20:45 was supposed to arrive 21:55 but didn’t arrive until 22:25. I called the restaurant asking where my food was and the guy was incredibly rude and even hung up on me. Won’t be using this restaurant again.

My order has still not delivered to me but just eat has said it is they wont let me call resurant wot the f*** nothing against resurant but justeat now wont let me submit lol.

Visited the east end on a night off from the kids. We know the east end well and the owners too. As always the service was fantastic and the food very nice. We have always found the food here to be very good value for money. We will certainly be back

This was our first time here. And must say we was impressed with the food and service .Both starters and main meals were lovely even the naan breads were lovely and soft too. Couldn't fault. Highly recommend.

As always the best curry in Walsall. I love the lemon chilli, it's really tasty and is consistently excellent. Thank you East End for top food everytime.

Food was very tasty, hot and delivered before the time given.

Lovely food, good service. Can't do enough to ensure that you're happy. Conveniently located and the right price.

Unfortunately this place is not for me, the curries tasted like they were out of a jar from a supermarket and the lamb was as tough as old boots! One of the curries was only half full and so was the portion of chips! The only positive was that it was delivered within the time stated (they added 10 minutes on top of the normal time).

Lovely food and delivered before expected time

We've used this restaurant before and it's always been great. But this time our food is over an hour late, the first time we called the driver had just left. The second time we called he was lost and not answering his mobile. The third, mysteriously he had left just a few minuets ago. Mixed messages, not at all impressed would rather just have been told it was going to be late. Honesty is the best policy #stillwaiting

I ordered sat and sun, what a diff, sun night, joke, meat out of a can, still fat not rendered down, meat had rounded sides like it had been sat by the edges of a can, obviously out of a can,or something. sat night meat was real meat, needed eating like meat should be,I ordered lamb vindaloo, straight out of jar, no, flavour of anything just chilli hot, could have been Mexican chilli, no pepper corn, no fruity flavour, just cheap and nasty. naan with cheese, microwaved, not like sats properly done, no cheese, if there was cheese it was ruin by microwave, you can tell the diff, aloo gobi, was good, but only 2x pieces of couliflower, but plenty of potatoe, and only half a tin.. And it took til I was at bottom of tray to taste the flavour of spices. Had 2xchance ruined by sundays effort. Glad I paid extra to driver for delivery sat night, million times better. Would have been gutted to give more for this rubbish on sun. Think it came from diff restaurant. I'm sure it was a different cook, or they just mashed this rubbish together Ina microwave. Good restaurants are consistent, that's what makes them good. Poor, poor, poor show.

Food was ok but not very hot. Salad not ordered but same price charged and not even a free poppadom. First restaurant I've known not give complimentary poppadoms. Restaurant service N/A

Brilliant as usual and 20 minutes early

It was actually really lucky that the driver arrived when he did because this could have been an even worse review. Firstly the delivery was late and whilst I'm quite reasonable in my expectations I did not appreciate the lack of customer service from the restaurant itself. Whoever answered the phone was rude, immature and hung up on me whilst laughing with a friend. I rang back and the same thing happened. Needless to say that even though the food was mediocre at best, they've just lost what could have been quite a profitable customer because I NEVER tolerate rudeness. Goodbye.

Very tasty food. Really enjoyed. Only downfall was popadoms was put next to hot food so had gone soft and wasnt very nice.

I am not often in walsall and i was visiting with a friend. For religious reasons she does not drink.so we could not just go to a pub . So we came into this restaurant which only one customer in. Had drinks and decided we would not eat. Asked to pay for the drinks and the waiter was rude and shouted at me about why we didnt eat. I repeated that i am for drink so there was no need to be rude. He kept on and on at me. Then the man eating threatened me and said he would push me. I said i did understand what the issue was because i paid for a service. The customer the grabbed my arm and tried to push me out. At this point the waiters allowed him to physically touch me. I cant believe that this actually happened and staff allowed a man to put his hands on a woman. I have written a review like this. But my safety is important. I would hate for people to feel the way i do now.

Poppadoms were stale as if been out for a week. Otherwise curry was exceptional as always.

Such Ashame that it doesn't state that the driver will ask for a £2 delivery charge after already paying £1 delivery charge. Now i thought the whole reason you pay via just eat is so that you do not have to have cash available, luckily I'd got a little bit of change to give the driver for the "compulsory" fee. Just be aware of this if ordering.

Service 1 star reason being your driver asked me for £2 extra for delivery, this after I had paid for delivery charge already. He told me it states it on just eat. Have checked, it doesn't. Think you have a driver trying to earn some extra pocket money. Doubtful I will order from you again which is a shame because your food is actually very nice.
