Superb food. Excellent and attentive staff.

The food and the service is 10/10 every time great value for money.

Not been for ages as we now live away. A rare trip back to the Midlands enabled me to visit again. All was wonderful and it would be really good if Ali expanded to other parts of the country. However, to do so would affect the quality of the welcome which is s good as the food. So, leave it as it is and I will make more effort to come again soon.

Great halal foods and sweets. Always fresh and as it should be. Service and atmosphere is welcoming. I recommend Shareen Mahal highly

One of the oldest running Pakistani restaurant based in Walsall. Staff are lovely and would recommend trying their Katlamas which is the best in the country!!

Oldest Balti house in Walsall had some great nights in here back in the 80's , visited here just lately and it’s just the same as back in the day, highly recommended.

Ordered a meat rogan josh balti, with naan and Katlamah. The balti was very delicious asked for less spice and it was spot on, naan really big and fluffy, katlamah has some spice but not too over powering, never had a balti from here before but will definitely be coming back!! With top quality service from Ali at the front counter

Very good service, they try to make sure you get your food fresh out the oil, went in for Katlamah and was given fresh ones from the kitchen rather than being palmed off with the already made ones, was very pleased with the service.

Great find! We stumbled upon this place as we were starving and looking for somewhere quick. The host was so friendly, the restaurant really clean and the food was superb! Very authentic and some of the best we have eaten. We will definitely be back next time we are passing!

You may like it or you may dislike it but one thing that is 110% guaranteed is that this is good traditional authentic Pakistani food. Having been reared on Pakistani food since birth I can honestly say I've never heard anyone call the food here bland before. I think sometimes people's benchmark of a curry can be the super fiery triple extra chilli vindaloo madras phaal type fare they've become accustomed too from their local regular curry house but that's not a real curry,I doubt you would catch any pakistani eating that type of curry they would just throw it in the bin because its not authentic. Over 30 years been using this place and I've never heard bland mentioned about it. It's beautiful food for people who appreciate true authentic Pakistani flavoured food which at times can be very spicy but never ever bland.

Absolutely love this place, always buy my chicken mushroom balti and meat spinach balti pilau rice and garlic nan. Fantastic food, me and my wife always look forward to enjoying our weekly takeaway treat at Sheeren Mahall. As for Michael F's comment, not being funny mate but if u buy a curry and heat it up the next day there' always gonna taste different. Keep up the good work lads hopefully see u guys after Lockdown.

Knowing how dire the curries are where i live, my son offered to get me a couple of curries from here as he only lives a mile or so away from it in the Pleck, this he did and kept them for our visit the next day, later that day i heated one of them up at home and really looked forward to tasting it, expecting something special. well sadly i have to say it was probably the blandest and most tasteless Chicken Madras i have ever had,and after a few mouthfuls i binned it, after that dismal effort i decided to try the Chicken Bhuna, that also turned out to be a pathetic concoction and ithat to was quickly dispatched to the bin,i really thought a business that had allegedly been trading for 30 odd years could produce something better than this bland and unspiced rubbish.

Have popped in here for eat-in or takeaway for many years. Never had a problem, always enjoyed the food and enjoy their style of curries. Friendly staff and service.On main road so easy to find. Worth a visit.

We eat here at least once a month and its a very chilled atmosphere, Calm music in the background. We always have a starter and a main with plenty left over for the next day. The server i believe his name is Ali has been working there for years and always gives great customer service.

Had a chicken spinach balti, large nan and a kathlama. Just over £10 and enough food for 2 meals, so be.m careful how much you order. Food was tasty enough. Will probably go back.

I am a regular here for my lunch. The katalama are really good. My sister & myself are regular here for the curries. The sweets & food are always to perfection. The staff attend to the customers without delay, the curries are full of spices not over powering, prepared fresh all the time & served within minutes.

Food is good and the price is great. Staff warm and friendly. Also I must say the make tasty katlamas.

I visited this restaurant and found it to be average. The food was fresh however we had to wait a while between the starters and mains. We had the katlama which was really nice the meat was good and the pastry was not so thick which was perfect. The biryani was really spicy so make sure if you do order this you tell them to make it mild. The mix grill wasn't so great but was ok. The naan was really lovely and fresh and soft.

Have been a regular customer for many years. You can eat in or take out the food is always well prepared & always tastes good. Plenty of variety in the the menu to suit all taste buds Meat, chicken, vegetarian options are available for everyone to enjoy. The starters are superb again with something for all taste buds. Highly recommend the Lamb sheekh kebabs & chicken tikka. Customer service is great nothing is to much trouble for the staff. You truly get value for money. Must visit with family or friend's.

Nothing flashy, nothing big just a simple restaurant who have served the public for 30 plus years, the food is always great the lads are top guys who always serve with a smile most importantly always go that extra mile. Fully recommended.

My wife and I have been eating in and having takeaways from here over the last nearly ten years. The food is very good, well priced and well seasoned. Ali the head waiter is a revelation. His customer service is probably among the best we've experienced, always polite and thoughtful and a ready smile. His memory is amazing and can remember what we ordered wether it be months or years ago. A great place and well worth a visit. To have been there for thirty plus years is testament to the business. First time having a Christmas get together with my work colleagues here this evening and boy did we enjoy ourselves. The food here can never go wrong. The lamb curry, chickem spinach, kathlama, the chutneys and parataz. Great service and great food. Proud regular X

Been going here since it opened, real genuine people who make you welcome with fantastic food at fair prices. Ali and Abs are great guys. Would highly advise everybody to visit sheeren mahal the business deserves to do well.

Remember coming here about 30 years ago and thankfully still brings back happy memories from days gone by. This restaurant have kept their balti just like how they made it 30 years ago with that traditional home cooked flavour in a nice big cast iron wok just like how it should be. If you want an old school balti then Ali at Shereen is your man, truly nice guy can’t fault him, who does his upmost to make your visit pleasurable. A must try for those in search of a proper balti in Walsall.

The balti here is out of this world. A must try place with very polite staff and family friendly environment. I will be returning next week. Top marks to you guys we loved the Baltis.

Visiting my old home town and thought to get a takeaway from Sheeren Mahal. Remember this place from when it first opened over 30 years ago. Ordered chicken jal frezei. Smelt lovely, unfortunately lacked flavour. Very disappointing food.

Así que vine aquí con mi pareja y decidimos probar algo diferente. Tuve el curry de verduras y verduras biryani ah y obviamente mi cordero fave curry. Iv llegamos a decir que las verduras biryani es simplemente increíble. Probado muchas verduras biryaniz Iv pero en este restaurante era exorbitante. Recomiendo la gente prueba el cordero biryani con verduras y vegetales al curry. La combinación es genial. Muy sabroso! ! ! ! ¡Me encanta! ! Xx

Me vino a visitar a amigos para que recomiendo comer en sheeren mahal. Realmente disfruté de mi comida, la comida estaba muy rica y perfectamente preparado. El personal era encantador y fue un lugar muy limpio.

Went from slough saw this restaurant looks good from out side the food was terrible ordered two allo parata they was fat as three chapatis and no potatoe about four peice of potatoe in whole parata and the thickness of this parata was terrible no taste chilli salt nothing . Very clean and staff was very polite but no good if food isn't food waste of money !!!!

Was looking for Indian and read trip advisor. Very basic restaurant but the menu was extensive, the food excellent and the service second to none. Very reasonable prices. Worth a visit.

Every time I come for a great meal at sheeren mahal I get all nostalgic, I was a very young boy when my parents use too bring me here for a meal, the place has that great feeling which I'm many others will feel the same, the place was still amazing before the refurb, several years it's been since the new outlook yet still amazing regardless, the place is great the young lads are such lovely lads, the food remains consistent throughout especially the Katlama's.

I visited Shereen Mahal restaurant with my friends lastweek. I have never tried such tasty and such beautiful curries in my life. The lamb curry and the chicken spinach was OMG. Absolutely delicious. Yum yum. Il definitely paying this restaurant a next visit again. Will be a regular.....

A good choice if you are looking for a quick cheap meal and you can take your own alcohol. Food is hot and tasty but it is more of a cafe than a restaurant.

ive been eating here since the mid eighties and nothing has changed -this is simply the best eating experience you will ever have . I now live in Torquay south devon but I can assure you that if I'm ever in a twenty mile radius I go back to remind myself what a real Balti served with every authentic extra you could ever wish for - the chicken tikka to start is a must - juicy flame grilled chunks that I could eat all day long - order a table nan bread and it will literally hand off both sides of the table - my favorite meat and mushroom Balti is probably the best curry you will every have in your life.my friend - and over the years I'm proud to say we are friends - Ali the owner is the nicest,most genuine guy you will ever have the pleasure of meeting . nothing has ever been too much trouble for him and we are welcomed and made to feel like we are at home even though we only manage to visit a couple of times a year. my family love this place and I would eat here every week if I still lived locally and not two hundred miles away.best curry house in the world - go there and you will agree.cant wait to go back - bless you ALI - see you soon my friend

I used to live nr Lichfield and used to drive here to get my Baltis Fantastic food inexpensive plentiful portions best katlammas in country and yogurt sauce is so moorish Fave is chicken mushroom balti with big chapatti is Ali is a great host If I lived in USA I would fly a curry from hereDelicious

I love the katlamas from here, been eating them since the late 80's with mint sauce. I always make a point of visiting every time I come to Walsall, and bring a few back with me and keep them in the freezer. The curries are also good. I remember the lamb balti my dad used to buy from here some times, and all the family sharing it when I was a kid. The restaurant has been refurbished now, and is an improvement from previous times.

Compared to the sweet bread shops and similar type establishments in Normanton in Derby, the service was very very slow and the food was fairly bland. The poppadoms and raita and Sheekh kebabs were good, my chicken jalfreezi and rice was also good but the rest was very disappointing. Definitely won't be going back.

I have been coming here for 35+ years.... I now live in Kent but always stop by for a curry whenever I'm visiting or even passing M6 J9..... I wouldn't eat anywhere else round here....

Once again I got the best service at this great Curry House in Pleck. I ordered my usual Chicken Curry with Nan bread and salad. And its the same great taste each time I order. This place is well worth visiting for the Curry. Been around for more than 2 decades as Rodney would say.

Came here just after New Years with family and there was a large group of us, first of all the staff are brill very friendly kind and efficient, food was outstanding! Loved it here and will defo return!

I go here when I fancy a good curry on my own where I know I won't be harrassed by staff checking that everything is ok - it is more thank OK, that's why I keep coming back >:-)I don't vary much, my favourite is a meat and mushroom balti, with a couple of chapattis. Nice and simple you would think? Other places get it wrong. Shereen Mahal serves a balti which has been cooked with the freshest ingredients, and I can taste this on every level. No dead spices or old meat, every mouthful is pure fresh joy.Service is quiet and efficient, and they leave you alone to eat in peace, which I absolutely appreciate! The prices are fantastic. I liked the style before they refurbished, it was proper olde-worlde; flock wallpaper no less. It is very lovely now, designed to keep up with the standards everyone expects when they make the effort to go out to eat. They are also open all day, which was a bit of a revelation to me. I've popped in on the way home from work if I've fancied a handful of samosas to snack on. I have to tell you, these are the best samosas for miles around, very generously-filled, and a silly price. This is a nice place, to get excellent food, in a restaurant that cares about your comfort. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my balti.

I have been going in here for over twenty years, which must count for some knowledge of the food served.The food served here is of traditional origin, not the english styled currys most restaurants serve.Strongly advise you give it a try.

Been coming regularly to the Sheeren's way back when it first opened (1985), I still remember it well the 1 room and a few tables in it. Now my grown up kids go there as well. Love the food and thee owner also the owners sons Ali and Abdul are top lads watched them grow into fine young men always s smile and a lovely chat.

Like most reviewers on here, I've been a regular patron of the Sheeren for many a year - right back to when it was just one room with about 3 tables in it. I've eaten Asian food all around the world, including in Pakistan and India, but this place keeps drawing me back. Good, honest, expertly prepared and cooked food. The flock wallpaper might have been replaced by the trendy disco lights now but the service and atmosphere are to the same excellent standard as always. Love it.

We've been coming here for many years, and its still great to go back and have the good old fashioned balti. Many asian restaurants do balti dishes, but they are totally different to the original taste. The Shereen still uses the big metal dishes, and the taste is superb. Add a family nan (huge!!) and a sheek kebab starter and what more could you ask for? Oh yes, its also a BYO too, so cant get much better than that!

I have been ordering my regular chicken curry with nan, salad and yougart for over a decade and i can not fault place. I have eaten inside and brought family members and never had any reason to fault the place. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcomed and relaxed. You are allowed to bring your own alcoholic drinks so no cost on the pop so to speak and you will not find the cost to heavy on your pocket. I would advise that you try this out when you want an Indian Spicy Taste.

have been going here for years well before the reburbishment a good old fashioned flock wallpapered eatery at one time but now a more upmarket place to eat-staff very friendly and know them by name- watched them grow into fine men from young boys food delicious especially the tandoori fish

I have been using the Sheeren Mahal since shortly after it opened. The food is excellent and the service exceptional. It is a joy to return to time after time.

Sheeren Mahal has been opened for a loong time, and now newly refurbished, went in the other day to get some jilebi's which are really nice from there, the place lacks atmosphere and could do with more staff, more to offer like desserts, the front of the place can do with more of a twist to make it busy, this place has potential, the food is not good!! your cheese nans are funny, cheese slices on top of nans, you should use grated cheese on them. Probably visit again.

Been coming to Sheeren Mahal well over 20 years, and what an amazing place it is, they recently had it refurbished and is looking even better with amazing decor even though I miss the old Skool vibe if I say so myself, the young lads are top blokes, their father is a humble man and their food is amazing, nobody makes katlama's like Sheeren Mahal.
