Ashoca in Walsall

Ordered from here to collect, the food is okay but the service when ordering isn’t great, wrong price, items missing, not great overall. Shame to say since we’ve ordered from here for a while but occasionally things go wrong and stuff goes missing as well as price variations even when ordering the same thing. Disappointed to say the least!

Order via Just eat regularly and decided to try sitting in today. Just as good; fast service and great food. Staff were attentive without being annoying 😅

From the moment I walked into ashoca. I knew I was in an extraordinary place. The ambience struck a perfect balance between elegance and warmth. Probably the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had, ordered for 6 people, every single curry was tasteless, couldn't have told the difference between them, the starters were pathetic and bland, and they even forgot to include our poppadoms but gave us the sauces, wouldn't ever order from here again

Placed a order for delivery on Uber, I forgot to call straight after my order to make a change to my korma, I called after 20mins and they said they had already made it, but could change it I said it’s fine, then called me back 10 mins later to say they had changed it to what I asked for! What a great services & what great food 11/10 from me thankyou so much

We put an order in and forgot to change the curry to a hotter one. I phoned the restaurant and they were really friendly and happily amended our order. Thank you very much 😊

Only been here once before but it was not to bad

Thought we would give this 1 a go,use to use it years ago when it was rose of bengal,didn't disappoint us meal was 1st class was a bit cold in there but thay hadn't opened long toilets very clean but bit dark need better lighting otherwise brill thank you

Great customer service very attentive and polite food was full of flavour every dish we had. Nice and quiet at first but picks up as the evening goes on. Would remained the lamb balti. Normally order for take way but decided to eat In today and will be every time from now on. Only fault is coke is not off the draft and didn’t do bottled water but apart from those small things couldn’t fault it

We have literally just finished our takeaway from Ashoca and had to compliment them on the quality of the food and the service. We both enjoy a chicken tikka dansak (I asked for mine to be extra hot) and they were both absolutely delicious. Certainly the best 'curry' I have enjoyed in a very long time. We also had a garlic nan, coriander nan and pilau rice, along with the free poppadoms and dips we received. Could not fault any of it. I have never been moved to calling a place to thank them for a meal we have had delivered before, but that's exactly what I have just done. Outstanding. Thank you 👏🏻

Visited for the first time yesterday and we were impressed with all aspects of the visit. We arrived to a very warm welcome and the excellent hospitality continued throughout our time there. We felt it was really good value for money and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our group prefer to buy alcoholic drinks from restaurants rather than taking our own, and, again, the Cobra that was on sale was sold at a good price. This was true of the soft drinks too. Thank you Asocha, we will be returning.

Without a doubt the finest and best Indian food within this area. Having tried many of the dishes, our go to order is Ashoca's North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken, a rich and spicy sauce with lots of fresh garlic and onion and generous chunks of beautifully cooked chicken tikka. Staff at Ashoca are wonderful, and you can tell they're proud of thefood they serve. Whether it's a takeaway or a sit in meal, it's always beautiful food!!

Initially ordered from here the later end of last year - was blown away. Tonight we've experienced the worst takeaway meal ever (extreme but true) No rice (paid for) and food luke warm. Did call to complain and was offered a replacement order, but given the time of night and waiting time already wasn't prepared to wait for order to be collected and redelivered. Really disappointed.

Food was great, the lamb in chicken pieces was very generous, and the there was lots of sauce. I enjoyed the sides I'd ordered too. Though the salad was tiny and I won't be having any more again. I would've preferred it came hotter, it was cold by the time we'd plated it up. The delivery was on time. The extra charges added on the end of the bill is rather unnecessary.

1st time ordering from ea and curry's was nice but disappointed we had 2 starters and hardly anything in chicken chatt and only 4 peice of chicken in shashlik, then 2 chicken pathia curry's and trays was only half full 1 egg fried rice and 2 nans . . . .for £31 it's definitely not worth the money

Have never had a bad meal from here. Delivery nor dine in. Food is delicious and hot in temperature. Staff are friendly and attentive. The only minor critique is, when you first arrive, whether the place is empty or not, they show you to you seats but leave you too long to get settled before bringing the menu. I usually end up prompting for it. Would highly recommend the food.

I don't usually leave a review, but this place is absolutely awful compared to how it used to be when it was the Rose. Couldn't even bring myself to take the leftovers home for the foxes I feed in the garden.

I just had a meal in ashoca. Im so blown away with the quality of the food and the service especially by sidd.

The lamb bhuna ordered was poorly prepared with off cut meat that was so over cooked it was not edible I haven’t eaten that dish I’ve very annoyed as I called the restaurant but my call left to ring out NOT HAPPY

Becoming a weekly visit. Staff are so attentive, always willing to suggest authentic dishes. Make them to your 'heat' preference. Food is always well prepared. Tastes amazing. Defo worth a visit.
