The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

I had my first Indian food today, yeahhh! Chicken Vindaloo... beautiful! Onion bhaji with garlic naan bread, yummy! Customer service... excellent. I will definitely go back.

First time visiting since its change of management and the food was some of the best we've had in a long time. The south Indian lamb curry was particularly great! Friendly staff and diverse menu options. Will definitely be going back to try the other dishes!

This Indian is great for 5 courses for £18.You can take your own alcohol as they dont serve this.The food is tremendous great value for money and comes to you very quick.

Nice restaurant, staff friendly and attentive. We were visiting overnight and wanted somewhere close to the hotel after a gruelling 10 hour drive. All was going well until I found a hair in my meal! After a through examination of said hair at the table the rice was replaced. When the bill arrived I was proudly told I hadn’t been charged for the rice! No apology. Spoilt the evening and will not be going back or recommending to friends in the area!

Take out meal, curry was closer to soup than curry, with a few pieces of meat floating in it. Worst I have ever experienced, only saving grace it was warm

My husband and I have been going to The Tandoori Cottage for 34 years, the fantastic quality of the food has always been consistent. Our favourite dishes are a chicken madras and a chicken rogan takeaway. We have found the staff very friendly and professional.

Whenever we visit our son we treat ourselves to a meal from Amish. Having eaten there when it was a sit down restaurant we continued to have take away food and have not have been disappointed. We had Chicken Passanda, Lamb Sag and Lemon rice. The portions were generous with plenty of meat. Looking forward to our next meal!

Popped in here on the last day of our 5 day trip to Port Charlotte, just for a cup of tea and a cake, as we were having a meal later.Was surprised to see such a full menu, if we had known sooner we would have dined here. Instead, one night we had driven to Bowmore for a meal, as our hote reataurnat was fully booked.so tea, coffee and cake it was, and theywas lovely. I ended up coming back later that day for a baked potato.The facilities were clean, and the staff friendly (We visited during Covid-19).There were outside tables with a sea view and a large car park, as it is serving a campsite.If I am ever in Islay again, I will be sure to come here for a meal.

Previously ordered from here and was impressed...2nd time round not so much but Curry Hut contacted me afterwards and apologised for the poor service and offered to rectify this. Food tasted good but lukewarm but still nice tasting food and great customer service. I will happily give this place another chance as the 1st time was really good 👍🏻

Stayed in the nearby Angrove Country Park and found Akbars locally. Ordered an Indian meal for our family to collect and all really enjoyed it. Great flavours and generous portions. Staff upon collection really friendly and customer service focused. Less than 10 min drive into Great Ayton from Angrove and would order from here again when in the area.

This place is beautiful, They got an amazing Indian food. This was very good for experience, I highly recommend people to come here.

Waited 2 hours for the food to be delivered. I was told 45 mins to 1 hour when I placed the order. Rang up after 1 and a half hours told 5 mins. 30 minutes later it arrived! The food was good. But the service was terrible.

The food is very nice. The indifferent service lets it down.
