The best restaurants serving French food in Wales

A lovely restaurant in a small, intimate setting. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. The food was excellent and well presented. I would definitely recommend!

The man serving the fondue on 6th November was very rude and stuck up. The fondue night is overrated and the service was slow.

My friend had cockles served with too much black pepper. She couldn't eat them. I tasted - they were very 'hot'. I gently told the owner, and she immediately snapped back - "no, they are not peppery, not served with pepper." No apology, just a very rude scowl. She walked off. Couldn't believe it. So unnecessary. 2 of our group couldn't attend, so in a friendly manner, I asked if we could have their deposit back. The scowl and rudeness continued. I've never experienced such an attitude. The deposit was finally handed over, and with a sour face, the owner looked at me and said, "Make sure they get it". The owner really didn't want her customers to return. We won't. I suggest a course on customer relations

Amazing venue, atmospheric and unique. Quality food. We ate there on a Sat evening which is the Middle Eastern menu. Really tasty, authentic food and great value for money. Highly recommended.

General Cardiff bay Manager Nickolas (Nick) Gale told me I don't care about anything I just care about making money from Cote restaurant...worst manager ever.. copy of my complaint I got throat cancer and I am having chemotherapy. We decide to go have nice family meal together. My family 4 person went Cote restaurant in Cardiff Bay. Absolute awful customer service. Went at around 9:15 (1 November) with a view of many empty tables asking if we could eat there. We were told no, and when asked why the staff said we don’t have enough people working so come back in half an hour. We asked if we could sit for a drink for half an hour then eat and they declined this offer. We came back at 9:45, were blanked for 15 mins until exactly 10 when someone said the kitchen was closed. They refused to serve us. I know you are busy but customer service should be better. We walked away from the restaurant because of the poor customer service attitude. No wonder there was hardly anyone in there at a peak time of the day. I was even more disgusted at the dismissive response from the branch staff. We booked in advance for a late Sunday lunch, we arrived at 2pm but had to spend 10 minutes in the car park waiting for someone to leave as there are not enough spaces for the number of guests they can accommodate apparently. Got in and sat down at 2:15. It was very busy, but from what we could see most people were either already eating or had eaten and were waiting for their tables to be cleared. The waitress came quickly to get a drinks order however the food order wasn't taken for another 15 minutes and the food itself didn't arrive for another hour. When it did arrive the food was very good, however I was disappointed to only have two very small slices of beef. I heard someone on the table next to me complain about the portion size too. It didn't get them anywhere so I didn't bother to mention it. We decided to have desserts which again were very nice, and thankfully didn't take quite as long as the mains did! So all in all, although the food was nice, service was very slow. We booked later thinking we would be served and back home quicker, however by the time we left we'd been there over 3 hours, so this isn't the place for a quick bite to eat!

Dropped into Parisellas ice-cream parlour I had the Blueberry and honeycomb combo and my husband had the Mango and orange and raspberry ripple combo one of the best unique ice-creams we ever had since visiting North Wales a good treat after doing the Conwy Castle.

A limited but interesting menu. Every dish is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Great staff as well. It was a real surprise to find such overall quality in the rural backlot of Mid Wales. We all enjoyed our meal so much that we are already making plans to visit again. In the meantime to others seeking something different in your culinary experience, make the effort to visit this restaurant The lamb was perfection, loved the crab based starter but felt the crab portion could have been larger and with some brown meat. Everyone agreed that the various potato sideplates [chips, mashed etc] were delightful.

Very friendly staff food lovely. Would recommend. We had savoury pancakes also tried a new panini. Kids loved the sweet pancakes

I have never had a bad plate at Petit Biarritz. For tapas the plates are generous and really packed with flavour, whether veg, fish, or meat. The Korean crispy chicken remains a firm favourite, and the cheese and leek croquettes are always a delight. Bao buns are great. I could go on. No need. The ambience is relaxed, the service snappy (although I've only ever been when it has been quiet) , and the food is always worth looking forward to. Just go. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely owners, good food and perfect location. Few niggles with the food but overall it was good. Would recommend and return
