We enjoyed it. We came for lunch and not for a particular musical event. Walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path we had an off day in Fishguard on a rainy/windy day and the restaurant was not far from our B&B. Food was very good, service was excellent. Loved the decor. Would recommend.

Booked in advance and table was ready when we arrived early. Very friendly staff who made us very welcome. We asked if we could have some pasta dishes which weren't on the lunchtime menu, as we had some Challenge Wales competitors in our group. We had meatballs and pasta and a delicious seafood pasta. In response to JW's negative comments, I understand his reaction. He might have been better briefed about the music that evening, at the time when he booked. BUT please don't be put off going to Ffwrn. The food & drink is good, the service friendly. We have attended the folk & jazz/blues festivals over a few years. As a music venue it is magnificent. As regulars at the Folk Festival we made our usual visits to Ffwrn. We’ve seen the changes over the years, but really love this quirky venue. The music was great, as always, and the evening atmosphere was buzzing, the decor just gets better and better. We’re a large group, yet we were seated and served without fuss. The food was great, I’d have loved one of their legendary pizzas, but didn’t get the chance this time. Never mind, it’s a good excuse to visit again (hopefully in August for some jazz based entertainment)

Looks nothing from the outside but don’t be fooled everything here is first class. Quirky furniture, excellent food and splendid local ales. We had 2 x lamb sandwiches which were superb and 1 x fish chowder which my wife assured me is the best chowder she’s ever tasted! Bill came to less than £30 for three of us. What makes the place exceptional is the maitre d’ and his wife who will both engage with you in different but lovely ways. Genuine characters who will no doubt make a success of this venture. We were looking for a lunch spot having walked to Saundersfoot from Tenby and came across this gem. Super fresh seafood in a well appointed and well located restaurant. Service with a smile added positively to our experience. You’d be well advised to make reservations during busy times it would seem but we were able to walk in during lunch in the off-season. Highly recommended.
