The food was banging, but the size of the portion was far too big for both me and my wife, but absolutely amazing

Not many nice places to get freshly home cooked food but this is 1 of them. Food is outstanding from quality and presentation and the waitresses are very friendly and accommodation. 1 of the oldest restaurants in Swansea. You will not be disappointed.

First visit for a long time as often full when tried on spec. The quality of the food is exceptional and well worth the price. eg starter beetroot salad with warm goat's cheese and candied walnut just under a tenner - fabulous! Mains were both wonderful. One single course, one starter and main. 2 low alcohol St Miguels. Total £60.

A couple of my friends and I had a nice dinner here this week. We had some starters, I had belly pork special which was really good and a fillet steak main with chips. My only qualm is it's a littler over priced and to charge an extra £3.95 for sauce. The bread was lovely. Nevertheless food was lovely, not many people there but to be expected I guess for a weekday evening. Ideal parking opposite. Staff super friendly and attentive.

My partner and I have been a couple of time to Bouchon De Rossi and both times we have been greeted with friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend Bouchon De Rossi if your looking for a great restaurant.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been in for a long while

I just phoned this restaurant, and was totally shocked by how rude the gentleman who answered the phone was to me. I requested to order from the takeaway menu I had just seen on their website. He told me they didn't provide takeaway food anymore and it wasn't on their website. I explained it was on the website as I was just looking at it. He told me in no uncertain terms it shouldn't be. He was extremely curt and abrupt. I went onto explain I had £40 worth of vouchers for the restaurant, given to me by a friend. Unfortunately I was unable to use them in the restaurant because my partner is unwell/disabled and has difficulty eaten and not well enough to visit the restaurant. As I am the main carer providing 24 hour care I am not able to go to the restaurant either. The gentleman on the phone literally ignored this, and again said curtly he was sorry they did not provide takeaway food (even though it is on their website) and put the phone down on me. I was absolutely amazed by his rudeness. And lack of understanding. To ignore my issue. Put the phone down on me. Argue that take way food isn’t on their website when it clearly is.

I have eaten here many times when in Swansea. The steaks are delicious! The staff are always friendly and attentive and it is a pleasure to come here The pate starter is light and delicious. I always have a fillet steak cooked to perfection and whatever dessert you have, ask for a scoop of Joe’s on the side.

Attended September 14th for our anniversary, food was outstanding, nice wine menu and staff were excellent couldn't fault it ,thank you

Never been before but heard it was very nice. I think our expectations were too high as we found everything very average. Cockles were edible but not what we expected and very disappointing. The fillet steak was nice but the red wine sauce was awful. Very very saltie which ruined the steak. The bass was overcooked , just a little. The staff were great but when more drinks were needed we weren’t asked and couldn’t find anyone to ask. A very disappointing visit unfortunately .

Expectations too high after the reviews. Very average. Cockles starter was edible but not very appealing to look at not to eat. Fluey steak was cooked as required and was nice but the red wine sauce was so so saltie it took the flavour from the steak. The bass was slightly over cooked. The staff were very good, very pleasant but when drinks needed replenishing no one asked and looking around couldn’t see anyone to ask. By the time someone came we asked for the bill. Altogether a very disappointing visit

Excellent service. Wonderful food. I have been visiting this restaurant for over a decade and have always received a great service and the standard of the food is amazing! Highly recommend.

We visited for lunch and had a very warm welcome. Drinks order was taken and we were given time to look at the menu. We decided against starters, as we know that desserts are wonderful. Our mains order was taken and we were left to chat. When our meals arrived we were very happy- chicken breast in brandy and cream sauce and fillet of plaice in prawn sauce, both with chips. My plaice was melt in the mouth with so many prawns on top. The salad was lovely and the chips were amazing. The chicken breast was lovely and moist and came with a nice selection of veg. Portions are very good, and plates were clean going back to the kitchen. Then on to desserts- it was very difficult to choose, as they are all delicious, but we eventually chose salted caramel profiterole and meringue bomb. So very good! It’s a lovely little restaurant with very good food. Yet another very pleasant visit.

We've been coming to Bouchon for many, many years, and have always supported thus independent restaurant. Food is still excellent. We have become used to the terse and somewhat rude waitress, but this time she was very unpleasant. The owner, who has always been very pleasant and engaging, was also quite brusque. We didn't feel particularly welcome. Starters and mains were served far too quickly and close together. So disappointed, as we have always loved Bouchon.

No where near value for money. Steak was nothing special and I was still hungry after it. Couldn't see anything for diabetics on the dessert menu.

There were eight of us so we had to order in advance. Got there. Waitress called us to attention to confirm the orders. No messing, knew we didn’t want to get into trouble! Food arrived far too quickly. Food was good but not a particularly nice environment or service.

I had a meal here last week with my friend, and I was thoroughly impressed. I had the chicken supreme with tiger prawns, which was very succulent and full of flavour. The chips were perfectly salted and quite delicious as well. For dessert, although I was tempted by literally every item on the menu, I ended up ordering the crepes Suzette which was very rich and sweet. A nice combination of citrus, liqueur and vanilla flavours. Would definitely recommend both of the courses I ordered. (My friend had the steak and raspberry sorbet, and she enjoyed both as well). The service was excellent as well - the waitress helped my friend with her coat upon our arrival which was a really kind touch, and was very attentive to our table. This was one of the finest meals I've had in the Swansea area, and would enthusiastically recommend to anyone looking for a quality dinner here. I look forward to returning for another great evening out in the near future!

Absolutely shocking behaviour from the manager and the food served tonight! Ordered a medium/well Sirlon and it arrived swimming in blood tough worse than a rump! Very shocked and mentioned it too the manager and she was just rude and even knowing we waited over an hour and half for our food and we had to leave was not willing to take anything off the bill, degusted want be returning

Absolutely beautiful meal. Very accommodating as the 93 year old lady I was with didn't have a big appetite so she had soup for starter & then the king prawns scallop & lobster in a shell as a starter. Very attentive staff & lovely atmosphere. Havnt been able to come here for years but was so happy to visit again & will be back very soon.

First time visiting here and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely outstanding and plenty of it. I didn't manage a dessert but the belly pork starter on the specials menu was beautiful and the sirloin steak for main was perfectly cooked. Every dish was a delight. The food was served very quickly, could have done with a bit of a break between starters and main but we were left to finish our wine and didn't feel rushed out at all. Venue is very quaint and perfect for an intimate birthday celebration. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Wouldn’t recommend staff rude they want you in and out very disappointing go elsewhere if your going out for a special occasion being with family or just as a couple very dissatisfied

All 6 of us enjoyed our meals however Really expensive, over £32 for my fillet steak with a small side salad but excellent quality and taste. A special occasion eating experience.

We book for a special occasion and we were looking for somewhere special to spend the evening. We hadn’t put our bums on the seats and the waitress ask what would you like to drink ? Drinks came immediately and menus, we then ordered within 5 minutes because waitress was ready to take our order . We ordered starters and they came with in 2 minutes and the plates were slammed on the table by the waitress . The starters were beautiful but again the waitress was back within minutes to take our plates , some hadn’t even finished. Mains then arrived within 5 minutes and were thrown at us again food was lovely, we’d now been in the restaurant for 35 min and had starter and main. We then ordered dessert and there was a nice gap with bringing this although she took the plate off on of us with some dessert left to finish. I’ve never experienced a waitress like this lady I’m sure her experience must be working in a builders cafe. Our evening was over in an our . Very disappointing experience for a special occasion but food was good but expensive for what you had . Never again

Christmas staff party, food was excellent as was the service. Absolutely delightful staff, couldn't have been more accommodating.

This restaurant used to be one of the best in Swansea. It's totally lost it. Today I was served a mountain of dry leaves topped by a grilled goat's cheese in lieu of a main course. The wine was passable but at the end of service, there was the opportunity of making £100 on a drinks order. We were told that the restaruant was closed. Need I say more? I'll give it a year.

This is our go to for birthdays and date nights, in the past 8 years we have NEVER had a steak less than perfect.

It's always a pleasure visiting, as both the staff and food are excellent. The venue caters well for both children and adults. It is my favourite restaurant .

We have been going here for the last 14 years for our Xmas meal and it without question is the best steak you’ll eat anywhere! The rest of the food is also delicious, but you must try the fillet steak.

After hearing very good reviews for a long time, I was looking forward to a works meal which was organized with a small group of close colleagues and partners. The food was excellent. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. The service was terrible. On entering before getting to our table we were asked "where's the other two?", to which we replied we think they're running a little late (we arrived five minutes before the sitting), the response was "well I hope they hurry up as we have a lot of parties tonight". Drinks were dumped on the table, not once were we asked if we were ok for drinks etc. Our friends who were five minutes late hadn't even got to the table before having to confirm their pre order. When finishing up, we asked have you got the last sitting now then, to which the response was "oh God no, I've been here all day, you're the last sitting". So not only were we rushed for nothing, we were told they were rushing because of more parties, which were never coming. Unfortunately this definitively left all the positive reviews I've heard about here, completely null and void. Thankfully the good company and the food at the time made the meal enjoyable and look forward to our next meal together, elsewhere.

We dined as a group of 12 and nobody had a bad word to say, staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I am vegan and was a little apprehensive as there were no vegan options on the official menu. Bouchon were a bit slow when getting back to us with vg options however I have no idea why as the dishes they give me were absolutely delicious. I had garlic mushrooms to start and crispy tofu on a bed of rice for main 👌🏻 You really are doing yourself a disservice by not offering the dishes as standard. Nowadays it is very likely that one in a group will be looking for a vegan option and when you can turn out plant based dishes like you did why not get them included on the standard menu? Will 100% be back Oh and the other 11 steaks went down a treat!!

Lovely lunch, grp of three. Fairly priced, good variety, big portions, overall very tasty indeed. Goof and friendly service. To make it five stars :provide a bowl for olive stones, a bowl of lemon water to dip fingers for eating mussels, provide a full drinks list.

Lunch Time Dining, food was quite tasty, belly pork starter was delicious, rump steak mains was good but the steak Emeliane was on the tough side. Salmon was slightly overcooked and needed more sauce. Deserts were very good. Staff very friendly

A fabulous meal, three of us thoroughly enjoyed our 3 courses. Delicious Scallops, and Cockles, Poached Salmon, 10oz Steak and Bass Bouchon, Creme Broulle and Profiteroles - full marks for all.

A celebratory dinner at Bouchon De Rossi following lots of great reviews from friends. The snails to start were delicious, followed by an amazing steak for main. The menu was great and there was a really nice vibe for mid-week. Situated in Swansea City centre so an ideal spot following a shopping trip or visit to the The Grand Theatre.

Best steak in Swansea, period! Quality well worth paying for. Starter, Main and dessert were all amazing, the pâté on the charcuterie starter was out of this world! I will be returning without doubt.

You could not fault the restaurant, The atmosphere was warm and cosy. The food was excellent, well thought out dishes, which were well presented. The best think for me was the waitress, who was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back very soon.

Visited as part of a group of 25 for a birthday celebration lunch. Given the size of the party the service was excellent. We had pre ordered from the normal menu. The food was perfectly cooked & well presented. Whilst I don't live in the locally I shall certainly be going there on my next visit to the Seansea area.

Emailed after dining there last Saturday and clearly they dont care so last resort is to do a review. Service was terrible and the waitress was as much use as a chocolate teapot. Her Manners and demeanour was to be desired too. The steak was not quality id expect from this venue especially for the money. No steak knives supplied and probably had better sirloins in wetherspoons. Classy drinks to Worthy or Peroni bottles ?🤦‍♂️ what was meant to be a birthday meal was ruined by the staff member and quality of foods not what Id call supreme. Shame!

This tends to be our favourite place for date night, never experienced a bad meal or never have had bad service. Tonight’s visit was a little different. Our meal was absolutely divine as it as always is! Less can be said about our waitress! We found her to be quite miserable and down right rude! Everything was dealt with a sigh and she clearly didn’t want to be working. The first time we had ever experienced a rude waitress in all the many years we have been coming here. A huge disappointing experience purely due to one staff member who clearly isn’t in the right industry

Whether it’s lunch or dinner we always have excellent food and service here. Food is full of flavour and tastes amazing. Feels like real wholesome him cooked food.

Organised a group meal for 12 people. Had to pay a deposit and also pre-order, including choice of vegetables/salad, etc. All went well and everyone enjoyed their selections from the lunchtime menu.

We were a large group of 20 people and can not praise the food, service and ambience enough. Would 100% recommend.

We turned up without booking a table (would not recommend this) and were welcomed by the owner who showed us to a table. Throughout, we were met with smiles and a can-do attitude. We have no criticism of the food, which was fab! These guys definitely know what they're doing - it won't be long before we're back!

I have been wanting to try this place for so long, and finally did last night. I ordered the goats cheese salad for starters and it did not disappoint! The cheese had a beautiful, full flavour and was lightly browned. For main course I ordered a fillet steak with madeira sauce. I don't think I have ever tasted such a good steak. Full of flavour but more importantly - cooked to absolute perfection. It was so, so tender. The atmosphere was lovely too, we sat upstairs and we were made to feel very comfortable. For 5 of us, we all had starters and mains, and a drink (only one drinking alcohol-they had 2) it came to little over £200 which I think is incredibly reasonable for A la Carte in the evening. I can't wait to come back!

Delicious food with friendly staff.

Tasty and precisely cooked meals with a touch of French flair. Meat, poultry and fish served in good portion size properly with lovely sauces and accompaniments including choice of potato dish types and vegetables or salad. Also other dishes and choice of starters and deserts....

We had an amazing lunch here yesterday. As a table of 8, we experienced amazing food and also friendly and efficient service. Genuinely can’t fault this place.

Stunning pre theatre meal, we had Steak and Dover sole a little expensive hence 4 * not 5 .Lovely friendly, professional waitress🙂

Really nice lunch with my mother. Lunch menu was reasonably priced but food was lovely. Had king prawns and the wine and garlic sauce was delicious. Have also been in the evening and that was amazing too. Filet steak with roquefort sauce was to die for. Spent between £40 and £50 which included a bottle of wine.

This restaurant has been open for years. I have been here as a normal eater and as a celiac. Loved both experiences, they know their food, they didn't have to check what was safe for me as a celiac and the food was amazing. Never had a bad meal here, so professional and friendly. A very good place to go for lunch or a pre-show meal.

The atmosphere in the upstairs room was perfect for our party of 14. Everyone enjoyed their food and the well organised staff made it a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

I have been to this restaurant twice with my brother. I have found the food to be of excellent quality if a little expensive for myself.
