The best restaurants serving French food in Brighton and Hove South East

I’ve only been for coffee and croissant but I’ve been more than once and whether you like records or not it is one of those places where everyone will join in a conversation. The focus is music as they sell Vinyl but the chef is French and the cost for food and drink very reasonable. The cafe/restaurant is in a parade of shops in a residential area so you can park outside although it is on a bus route. Some Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times it becomes a pop up restaurant where you can BYO. Not for the romantic meal for two as this is a small venue with tables quite close together but I’ve been told by a friend who went there for dinner that everyone talks to everyone else and it has a good vibe. I image booking is required in the evenings but for breakfast; lunch or just a coffee and a browse just pop in and see.

Yo y mi amigo fuimos allí para el domingo asado y lo pasamos muy bien. El asado estaba lleno de sabor y estaba delicioso y delicioso. yorkshire era enorme y la carne era muy suave y había cargas en el plato.

Brighton has a lot of good restaurants but this is head and shoulders above anything else. Probably the best we’ve ever eaten anywhere including Michelin stars. Service is fantastic- friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It was hard to pick a favourite dish because they were all so good

We just had the most amazing dinner here - it was so good, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! We shared the crab won tong to start, then my friend had the chicken supreme for main, which was succulent and was served with a lovely potato fondant. I had the lamb rump, served medium rare, on a bed of babaganoush, and with a side of an enormous platter of tagine, unctuous with stewed lamb, which I shared with my friend. We didn't really have room for dessert, but with food this good, we didn't want to miss out, and my friend's crumble + ice-cream and my lemon meringue tart didn't disappoint. All washed down with a carafe of the house red, a full-bodied Merlot. Wow! Just wow!! Get there quick before everyone else finds it!

Great authentic French restaurant with amazing food and lovely staff.

Definitely a place to go and eat and chat. Relaxed, interesting atmosphere, great food - unusual and tasty - lovely background music. Not conventional... hurrah!

Nos topamos con este restaurante mientras nos aventurábamos por Marine Drive en Brighton. El lugar era muy atractivo desde el exterior, con mesas y sillas acogedoras. En el interior una sensación muy fresca, brillante y peculiar. Fuimos recibidos por un anfitrión amable, ella señaló las ofertas de comida en exhibición, llamó nuestra atención que todos los sándwiches, rollos y baguettes todos recién hechos desde cero. Su fue una selección de tortillas, barritas de patatas fritas, etc. Abundantes pasteles caseros, pasteles. La selección habitual de bebidas calientes, bebidas frías, cervezas frías, chocolate caliente, etc. El personal era muy profesional, acogedor, atento y extremadamente amable. La única crítica fue que las moscas estaban en abundancia sobrevolando todos los pasteles descubiertos, esto era muy poco atractivo. Nos dimos cuenta de que una pareja entró, vio todas las moscas en lo alto de los pasteles e inmediatamente dijo que no comía aquí. Es una verdadera lástima, ya que esto está desalentando a los clientes potenciales de disfrutar de pasteles y pasteles. Nuestro consejo es cubrir TODOS los pasteles, no solo algunos de ellos, comprar más cúpulas de vidrio y cubrir todos los alimentos comestibles, ya que esto garantizaría una revisión de cinco estrellas en el futuro. Nos fuimos después de tomar unos bocadillos con ganas de comer un pastel pero terminamos encontrando un restaurante alternativo. Aparte de las críticas anteriores, todo aquí fue fantástico. Wide choice and excellent sweet and savory quality.

We popped in here for a crepe and coffee last Friday 9th May absolutely delicious! Lovely atmosphere and the staff were super friendly and brilliant service my 14 year old son and 80 year old mum loved it- we will be back when we next visit Brighton!

Amazing drinks! Amazing food! Staff were very understanding and knowledgeable about allergens. Which is always reassuring as someone with a gluten allergy (coeliac). Would absolutely recommend!

Parece que va cuesta abajo rápido. El personal parecía no importarle, promedio de comida, menú muy limitado. Qué lástima por lo que solía ser un restaurante vibrante y agradable. Ahora puedo decir por qué parece estar vacío la mayor parte del tiempo.

Hemos pasado por este pub desde hace unos años y decidimos venir hoy. No hay comida pero un montón de buen vino. El bar era encantador, un verdadero activo. La música era genial, rock y reggae de la vieja escuela. Jugamos un poco de ajedrez también. Un super tiempo para pasar un domingo perezoso. Volveré para probar la famosa raqueta y un poco de salsa.

A great place to eat. Very good range of food with standards and specials chalked up daily. A bistro with a buzz.
