Real Patisserie in Brighton and Hove

Lovely patisserie! Tried a few of the items, particularly lovely the blackberry tart and the chocolate brownie. The brownie is seriously good!

The Vegan almond croissant was the best croissant I've ever had (and that includes all those years before I was a Vegan). Taste, texture, size, appearance and price were top notch. Also had the Vegan the apricot tart - that was amazing too.

You are spoiled for choice for bakeries in Brighton but Real Patisserie comes out top! My husband regularly just goes "ohhh that was a really, really, really good eclair" weeks or months after he has had one for Real Patisserie with a wistful look in his eye. I've not had eclairs this good in the UK and we love them so much we had them as our wedding dessert. So few left over my mum was actually disappointed as I think she was hoping to live on them for a few days! Great service and really easy to communicate with. Oh and really really excellent eclairs!

My go to place for lunch. Sandwiches are amazing!

Great food, lovely staff. Open early so perfect for grabbing something before work and not just sweet stuff as well, sausage/vegan rolls & croissant with bits in like scrambled egg.

This is the best place in Brighton for a good pastry and the prices are really affordable. If you are ever at the Brighton train station you need to check this place, you won't regret it

Lunch baguettes have got smaller and more expensive. So they provide less and charge more. The fillings aren't always very complete. Cakes have always been very tasty and fresh. I found that the "tips" little basket on their counter should not be there. Do they expect you to tip for handing you a product? feels disrespectful when the smallest of their tiny tarts or pastries is almost a £5.

Canadian traveller here. This was recommended by a local relative. Indeed this is definitely one of the finest pastries I’ve tasted. We had the Coffee Eclair which was stuffed (they weren’t stingy on the filling) with delicious cream. We also had the apple tart which was one of my favourites. Of course I had to get the ham and cheese quiche - it’s a big slice! You can definitely tell the ingredients and pastry itself was fresh! They also did a 50% off in some of the pastries near the end of the day. Highly recommend this pastry store when your in the area. It’s no wonder they have returning customers!

Ordered sandwich platters for a work event - easy to order, pay & collect and most importantly the quality and quantity was excellent. Will certainly use again.

Really good bakery, tasty fresh cake raspberryr &blackcurrant, pistacios crumble, melts in the mouth, richness of taste, 11/10 on my scale, I highly recommend this place 🥰🥰🥰

The staff working on Thursday is really bad. I always shop at place in hove. This one i have a really bad experience

Mostly I bake my own bread. Nothing fancy, just 2lb white tin loaves (flour, yeast, salt, non diastatic malt, water) and unremarkable except for being better than any of that awful stuff in the supermarkets. Occasionally I buy bread from a baker just for a change and a bit of variety. Yesterday I bought a small Chewy White & a small French Cob from the Trafalgar Street store. Previously I'd bought the same from the bigger shop on Western Road and enjoyed it as it was fresh and tasty and also reminded me that my own bread was not bad at all! This time I am disappointed. My French Cob went straight into the freezer so I can't comment on it, but the Chewy White was dry and clearly not fresh. It's extremely hard to believe that this loaf was less than a day old when I bought it. It was as bad as a reheated supermarket loaf. Real Patisserie you saved 50p but lost a customer and earned a bad review.

The staff in this branch are absolutely lovely. The step is difficult to access with a pram but the staff are always so helpful in getting me in and out - not to mention that the bread and other baked goods are absolutely delicious

This place has a good selection of breads, pastries and sandwiches - including seafood sandwiches. And they allow dogs.

Desserts that are not very sweet are so precious in the UK. The fresh strawberries and apples make a superb fruit tart that is unbeatable. By far the best dessert I've had in the UK.

The spiced lentil roll was delicious.

My local bakery , good standard of sourdough, seeded breads and baguette. Sweet treats and savouries are high quality with a good range. Also do larger cakes for occasions! Service is always good however it does get very popular for lunch …!

Exceptionally good bread, pastries of all kinds, hot and cold drinks and many delicious savoury things too from sandwiches to quiches. Locally sourced quality produce and really pretty reasonable prices for such quality food. It's funny because Paul is supposedly a French franchise but would sooner go to Real Patisserie any day. I would even take a French person here.

Great cafe and fantastic service, great atmosphere too.

Fantastic pastry, helpful staff, a range of locally made preserves (jams, marmalades etc) that make excellent gifts, and really good prices.

Great little bakers / coffee shop, the chewy brown is my favorite loaf and i'm a big fan of the macaroons, best thing though is i'm always met with a smile and great service

I'm sure this place has changed management. The quality of the bread and the cakes used to be much better. I still get my bread there (not much choice) but am always dissapointed :(

Expensive for what it is. They advertise being real French patisserie however being French, it does not taste like French pastries. It was not fresh and was overpriced for the quality. I wouldn't go back there.

Consistently delicious and inspired produce. An efficient and friendly branch where the staff are happy to help and really know every product. I love that their savoury options are seasonal, it always keeps me coming back to see what’s new. Clearly popular with regulars so you have to get in early before that lunch rush to try the new! Please never stop your pear and choc tarts they are to die for.

Theres nothing in this place that isn't worth trying. My partners favourite snack is the Ham and Cheese Croissant (mine too). We have to get there early on a weekend otherwise they sell out! The cakes are beautifully made and are so tasty. Slightly more expensive than other shops but well worth a treat every so often.

Wouldn't allow me, a double amputee in with my small pug, but let another regular customer in with his...Wot gives? The roll I bought was lovely. Have a feeling the staff member who served me had a personal issue with me....still!

I visited this evening this shop for buy some cakes because Sometime I bought here something but today the staff was very very rude staff (she has a big glasses with dark hair ).

Stopped in for pastries on the way home, we had a few different options and all were delicious. It's pricy for pastry, but I'm still thinking about the gourmandise so clearly worth it. The quiche was also divine.

Post lunch this afternoon,had a craving for a slice of rich chocolate pastry. Bought a slice of what i should call "Heaven" from this shop. It was simply amazing. Will definitely visit again and try the other treats. Staff was very friendly as well.

Lovely little shop with a great variety of pâtisserie. Got a strawberry gourmandise and it is amazinggg!

Service is still excellent, but the standard of the food has really dropped. Much of it is clearly low quality ingredients and disappointing, obviously the owners have got greedy and decided to maximise profits at the expense of losing their old customers.

I love this companies food. Great bread great cakes. Shame the 2 ladies in the Trafalgar branch are amongst the rudest servers I've ever come across. No welcome no manners and slamming change on the glass counter is just being deliberatley awkward. The staff in HOVE are fantastic, always a greeting and always a "have a nice day" considering they're 10x busy, why do the 2 crows have to act like a pair of tryhards? Is it a city centre thing? You're not cool

Their products range from freshly made bread, to amazing savory and sweets treats, great & filling sandwiches all served by super friendly staff., what more does one need. Some of the things you must try are the: apricot danish, almond croissants & brown bread, or pretty much everything else they sell you cant really go wrong.. They usually have a stall just outside the station but I would recommend going to the store instead as there is greater variety and the stuff are usually more fresh since they are not outdoors for the whole day. They also make hot chocolate by melting real dark chocolate bits so that's well worth a try!

This shop offers a very nice selection of freshly baked food specially for breakfast but the price is on a very high side. I would rather go for a traditional English breakfast at weather spoon for the same price of a stffed crossioan at this store.

What a little gem. Located in Kemptown this cosy and friendly spot does amazing bread and pastries. Sweet and savoury dreams will come true here.

So very impressed ! Baking done on the premises - you can watch and smell the bread making and see on a board when they are ready fresh from the oven. Lovely tarte tatin and coffee . They do birthday cakes etc and the different quiches looked gorgeous. This is a busy place but the staff are most welcoming and they do bread making classes on some Sunday's. Altogether a great find.

Good bakery but quality and pricing are inconsistent. Went there recently and they wanted £4.25 for a single piece of quiche, I could have gone to a well known cafe and got the same quality quiche with a salad and baguette for the same money!! (and I don't mean a rubbish cafe with bad quality food either). The shoreham and Kemptown branches are amazing - the trafalgar st one not so amazing. They do a lot of things good, cakes fresh everyday, yes great, bread - fantastic. Ok, they have really improved the quality of takeaway food in Brighton, but please £4.25 for a piece of quiche?

Excellent little bakery stall just outside of Brighton train station. Chewy brown bread is simply delicious. I don't often eat bread but thoroughly enjoy this product. I shall be visiting a store soon to try other products they have. Thanks for the yummy bread!

Fantastic patisserie - a real taste of France- makes going by train almost a pleasure - as it is so close to Brighton Station.

Terrible! Before I discovered Real Patisserie I used to spent about £i.50p a eek on bread. Now I spent nearly £10.00 , The bread they make and sell is terrible. Terribly good that is :-) ! As for the cakes and desserts I find my wallet shivering in panic every time I walk past one of their shops!

Heard about this place, saw it had a 4 shops. This one isn't far from the main Brighton train station. Went to get some lunch, greeted with a queue, always a good sign. Its a small bakery, clean, tidy, no seated area. Has a chilled drinks fridge, large selection of breads, then the chilled display counter with sandwiches and cakes.
