Really nice and flavourful latte (that didn't just taste like milk) although a little smaller than I had hoped for. I had a nicely flavoured veggie omelet and the salt and pepper mills on the table were a perfect touch for freshly ground pepper!

Absolutely superb! I went for lunch and will definitely have to try the brunch after this. Maybe even tomorrow it was that good haha! The place is buzzing and the service was so nice and friendly, being just the right amount of attentive. From the moment you walk in you are looked after by all the team with a smile and I cannot stress enough how helpful and welcomed I felt - fair play guys, service is spot on 👏🏻 And then there’s the food, oh boi! Not being the biggest fan of French cuisine this was a little experiment for me and I thoroughly, THOROUGHLY, enjoy it. The food is so good, it really is, and the portions aren’t too shabby either, though it’s not cheap by any means. I started with the snails which were garlicky and buttery, served with bread to mop up all that goodness afterwards! A little small but made up for it in taste and class. Next I had beef bourguignon that came with an insane Gruyère mash and of course a delightful, rich and flavourful sauce. The fried legumes on the side were banging as well, and the whole meal was just fabulous. The tea came with a cute little meringue which was a great touch. They have a large drinks selection but the juniper and rose tea was really really good. Try it! All in all this place has gone straight up there on my list of not only spots in Brighton, but also everywhere else in the world. Great little spot, quality French food and even better service!

The food is fresh and excellent. There is plenty of vegetarian options. The eggs Florentine are delicious. The pastries are homemade and there is way less fat than in the ones bought in supermarkets. The staff is also very nice. One of the best brunch places in Brighton we tried so far.

We discovered this gem on a previous visit to Brighton when we popped in for a drink before a performance at the theatre and decided we'd come back. We booked a table for dinner on a Friday - and I'm glad we did because the place became very busy very quickly. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, so friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful. I believe the owner/chef is french and this is reflected in the food which is very french influenced. It is very well worth a visit but I'd strongly recommend booking a table before turning up to avoid disappointment.

While my wife had hair cut and all the extras at Lush Hair Lab I wandered around the Lanes and looked for somewhere for lunch. Walked back and almost next door to the Hair Lab is MangeTout and having read the menu decision made! We each enjoyed a tasty bowl of bouillabaisse with amazing quantity of fish and seafood and found the smaller serving more than enough for lunch. Excellent menu choices; first class service and very friendly and helpful staff and very reasonable prices. Now working on wife to book another Hair Lab visit so I can try other items on the menu. One point it does seem understandably to get very busy at lunch time so could be worth booking if that is possible.

The brunch was not up to Brighton "standards" unfortunately. The food was nice but that is all and when you are in Brighton it is not enough. Hollandaise was really nice but everything else just OK. Flat white not punchy but milky. Many other choices around to try.

Went here for brunch with my partner after reading reviews online that it was fab! Very so-so to us compared to a lot of other places to eat in Brighton, partner had Camembert but was slightly dissapointed that it was fridge cold and the mayo sauce was missing from the dish. I had moules frites which was good but nothing special, overall not worth it for the price unless you’re really into your French food or want somewhere near the station to eat.

Overall: didn't really live up to its appearance on a vegan friendly list. There was one menu item option and an option for just vegetables Pros: excellent staff and service, great coffee Cons: the vegan mange tout was dry and lacked flavour They charged us £1 for oat milk (in lovely lattes). It's 2024. Most places have stopped with that nonsense. Generally, just a bit higher priced than most brunch menus in town. It was very loud (music and acoustics of guests), which can always be a positive if you're looking for it! Just wasn't for me today. If I were vegetarian, I would have loved it, but I'd say it's generally missable for vegans, with better options elsewhere.

Seemed like a good idea to go here to celebrate a friends birthday, as previously we've enjoyed everything about this restaurant, sadly far from the case on this visit. If you're a vegetarian you are going to leave here hungry - very limited options on the menu, especially if you're not overly keen on fried aubergine. We tried to work our way around the lack of choice for a starter by ordering the 'saladette' and some cheese. The saladette never arrive, luckily someone else in our group had ordered bread so we were able to make cheese open sandwiches. Mains equally terrible, tartiflette had raw potato in it and the risotto, although lovely was miniscule. Best thing food wise was the desert, pear tart, which we ate hungrily and enjoyed. The restaurant itself was busy and cramped, so much so that I was asked to sit right next to the door to the one (grotty) toilet. It's the kind of place where it's so noisy everyone starts shouting to hear each other and when the whole small room is doing that it gets progressively more deafening. A couple of comments about the service. The bottle of wine we ordered was delivered to the table in a chemistry flask, we never saw the bottle we'd ordered, leaving us in a position where we had to trust they hadn't just filled it up from a box out the back. And lastly, in what sums up the whole visit really we ordered Mimosa's for a digestif to be told they didn't have any orange juice and would we mind if they made it with pear juice instead. Displayed behind the bar was a massive box of oranges so we asked the server if they could just use those, he went away and came back to tell us they can only squeeze oranges in the morning. Customer last.

A delicious brunch on a Saturday morning. Eggs poached to perfection and tasty bacon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee. Get in early as this will get busy. If we’d arrived 10 minutes later we’d not have got a seat.

Let’s start with the positives. The service was mainly very friendly but with one staff member a little abrupt. The atmosphere is great, just the right noise levels and ambiance, with a rustic feel; including the menu on a large chalk board on the wall. Now the negatives; the wine was served in a carafe which was unpolished and dull. The wine was cloudy with sediment at the bottom. However, as we looked around, other diners’ wine was also a bit cloudy! The snails starter was almost tasteless, with barely any sauce remaining in the shells. Finishing on a positive; the mains of pork and fish were very good, as were the truffle fries. This was our third visit to Mange Tout but easily the least enjoyable. Not much to change to win us over, but the venue only just made it to a 4 star review.

Four of us went to dinner 8pm on saturday night having little idea of what to expect food wise as there is no evening menu on the website so we relied on pictures taken of various menus on the chalk board. We were shown to a small table in the middle of the room which felt very cramped and the room was noisy. Drinks arrived quickly as we chose from an interesting chalk board settling forsharing olives, bread and Charcuterie to start then Rebrochon Tartiflette, Contit Duck leg with black pudding, Moules Marnieres and Red Mullet with scallops. Every mouthful of every plate was perfect as were the wines drunk with it. The Lemon tart pudding and the pastis were also excellent. The plates were not large and the prices were not cheap, but it was certainly worth the money. the staff were friendly and professional and there when you needed them. The whole experiance reminded me of the atmosphere and food we had eaten in bistros in france in the 1970's and the fact that the place was packed and the table was small just made it for a great evening. Highly recommended.

Came by The French Horn for raclette today but we hadn’t booked. They were really busy but the staff were lovely and rearranged things to make space for us. The raclette was amazing and there were so many delicious veggie options. So much food came with the raclette we couldn’t even finish it. The staff were so friendly, helpful and kind. We will be back for sure.
