Hemos comido en este restaurante durante muchos años y últimamente durante los últimos meses las patatas fritas y los calamares son simplemente asquerosos. Cada vez seguimos preguntando al personal si había un chef diferente en la cocina y cada vez que la respuesta era "no, siempre es lo mismo". El domingo pasado por la tarde, 11/8 20019, personalmente me molesté mucho y me sentí tratado como un perro, ya que mis patatas fritas estaban muy mal cocinadas y los calamares también. Las papas fritas en este lugar siempre han sido de una calidad congelada muy mala y, además, imagínense si se sirven duramente y demasiado cocidas (y cada vez es exactamente el caso). Simplemente no puedo describir los calamares es simplemente horrible e inaceptable. Simplemente no sabemos por qué este restaurante está perdiendo lentamente la buena calidad que una vez conocimos. ¡Es muy triste!

This establishment closed a year ago. It is now a Steak House, which is a pity. The old BEOTYS was an institution, having been established in the 1940's.

We are regular patrons of one of Colbert’s sister restaurants, Bellanger, so had high expectations of Colbert but left very disappointed. The service is great (although they didn’t tell us about the specials until after we’d already had our starter and I most certainly would have ordered from that menu instead) and they were very accommodating of our small dog and young baby. The food, however, was extremely disappointing, and also heavily overpriced. The steak was underwhelming and the Diane sauce (which you pay extra for) bland and watered down. The sausage and lentil dish small, not very tasty and with poor quality ingredients. The only saving grace was the Jerusalem Artichoke soup which was delicious. For 2 courses for 2 adults and a couple of drinks each the bill wasn’t far off £200 which was just madness for the poor quality food on offer. We won’t be returning.

I had the pleasure of visiting cote in the evening around 6 o’clock, and I must say, the guest service was outstanding. As soon as I arrived at the bar, I noticed one staff member seamlessly maintaining the bar, ensuring everything was in its proper place while keeping the area tidy. It was impressive to see how well he managed the bar, not just serving drinks but also keeping everything organized and running smoothly. Later, when I got a table upstairs, I was further amazed by the service. One of the staff members, Danish, stood out with his exceptional professionalism. He came upstairs carrying a large tray filled with drinks, and the way he handled multiple wine glasses with such ease and precision was truly eye-catching. His smooth transition from table to table, carefully placing each glass, was remarkable. The way he held the wine glass and placed it on the table with such elegance showed his dedication and passion for his work. It completely caught my attention and left a lasting impression. Danish also gave me a card to provide feedback, but unfortunately, I misplaced it. However, I still wanted to take the time to recognize his outstanding work. It’s clear that he performs his duties with dedication and passion, which is phenomenal and truly admirable. This level of service is a true asset to the company, and I wanted to express my gratitude for such an exceptional experience. Thank you for the wonderful service!

At the suggestion of one of our party of four (plus baby) who had recently been to Aubaine in Selfridges we went to this Hampstead restaurant for breakfast on a cold but clear Saturday morning in early October. After having walked from Euston station into Hampstead we were ready for a good breakfast. Walked in off the street not having made a reservation where we were seated downstairs directly under the stairs (we had a child & buggy) and after looking at the menu and wishing we’d gone next door to Cote Brasserie we gave our orders to the waitress. Scrambled egg and salmon £8.00 (came with 1 piece of cold rock hard toasted bread with no butter or spread offered-maybe that’s the French way? two cherry tomatoes and curly kale), pot of tea £2.95, 2x formule sante £12.00 each (poached egg with avocado on seeded toast) one with fresh orange juice, one with a pot of tea, one pain au raisin £2.50 and one bottle of evian water (750ml) £4.00. We asked that one of the poached eggs be well done and when the food arrived the waitress said she couldn’t remember which was which but she could go back to the kitchen and ask but we declined this offer thinking we’d soon learn ourselves, well we did as they were both well done with one being more well done than the other making it more hard boiled than poached and did I mention my rock hard toast? All looked good (see my photo’s) and to be fair the scrambled egg , salmon and curly kale were fine but the rest was a poor do. Tea was nice as was the orange juice but you can‘t really mess that up. The total bill was £41.45 plus the norm (for Hampstead at any rate) service charge of 12.5% adding another £5.18 giving us a grand total of £46.63 for what was essentially three plates of egg, a bun and a couple of drinks. I had been thinking of trying this place for lunch or dinner but this experience of breakfast has put me off. I'm being generous with my overall rating of a three because it really falls between two and three.

¡Qué placer! Todo sobre este restaurante era simplemente encantador! El personal era amable y eficiente y tiene un ambiente cálido y acogedor. Tomé la sopa de verduras seguida de bourguignon de ternera... y todo fue mmmm mmmm mmmmmm! Es un lugar pequeño e íntimo y nos encantó. ¡No se me ocurre mucho más que decir! Me gustó la sensación teatral del lugar.

What has happened to service in London. The cafe here is a classic example of incredibly bad service. It’s frustrating and simply embarrassing. Surely the Wallace collection with its world famous art collection and reputation, should also offer a basic dining experience! 1 waiter was good and you knew he was experienced. The rest simply useless. Please can the managers of the cafe simply train your staff. Train them to service a table and train them to understand an order or a query. Please, It’s basic!

Pedí tres pasteles para comer en familia, cobrado por comer en precio. Bandeja, cubiertos y mesa extremadamente sucios. No volvería otra vez.

Absolutamente el personal más desagradable que he encontrado en mi vida. Es casi como si servirte fuera un inconveniente. Todo el tiempo que estás en el café y trató de llamar su atención para pedir algo más todo el personal parecía estar involucrado en conversaciones entre sí o mirando sus teléfonos. Cuando les sonríes para llamar su atención, en realidad te dicen que te has metido en lo que sea que estén haciendo. El personal se comporta como escolares a los que se les ha pedido que trabajen y no quieren. Si no te gusta tu trabajo, ¿por qué no haces otra cosa? Cuando pidas algo si hay algún trabajo involucrado, inventarán excusas mientras no puedan venderte ese producto. ¡Pide que te corten el pan fresco y te dirán que está demasiado caliente aunque en tu mano sabes que no lo está! Solía gustarme venir aquí, pero ya no les daré mis asuntos. Hay docenas de cafés acogedores realmente encantadores en ese camino que recomiendo que pruebe otro! PD - tienen UNA característica redentora y ese es el hombre encantador que hace los falafels

This place shut down, it was rare to find a somewhat independent restaurant within a shopping centre. The food here was great. I'll definitely miss it.
