We tried several of the Signature cocktails and they were incredible— some sweet, some savory. David is a genius mixologist! Highly recommended the ‘Total Waste’ and the ‘Tomatoni’. Staff were very attentive and the bar has a chill atmosphere.

146 @ Hilton Paddington, it is a little different to your normal but it works. If you're there during the day then it is possible to eat as well as drink. The bar isn't great for its diversity of offering regarding beers and ales. However, it does do a solid bar food range of quality. Move to evening and certainly later in the week the lights dip, the music ups volume as a DJ is in situ. Is it worth heading to no, it works for business meetings and for hotel guests at most.

Staff inattentive, once we asked for a menu after a good 20mins wait, the waitress just stared at us intently, so we ordered coffees quickly (£10 for 2 coffees). Staff didn’t once come back to ask if everything was ok, or if we needed anything (which we did need indeed). About 1h30 later, a waiter came with a card machine - looking irritated and straight up shoving the card machine in our faces, two professional women, mid thirties - being treated like vulgar customers. Disgraceful, will never get back there and certainly not recommend to my clients.

Visited the restaurant twice, once in February and then in March. Both times were unforgettable. We used a Groupon Voucher. My first experience was so delightful that I decided to go again. Celebrated my aunt's birthday. Complimentary cake for her. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Bonyson, in particular, gave us the most exceptional customer service I have ever had. He was pollite engaging and very attentive to our needs. Special thanks you to him. The Manager was very professional too, he came to our table two or three times to ensure that everything was fine. The Tandoori king prawn was delicious and well presented. Quail cooked to perfection. Food was scrumptious...... Value for money with Groupon voucher.

I don't write many reviews, but want to warn others. Booked a table for Sunday lunch last weekend. A very dear friend was in London from UN work in Africa. We had not met all year. I requested a well appointed table for conversation. We both arrived on time to find that the restaurant was effectively closed. They were serving sandwiches in the open coffee area in the foyer. It was very cold and raining. We were expecting a hearty Sunday lunch. I received no attention or apology from the young staff who milled around uncomfortably. I really expect A LOT more from Hilton. We had only two hours together and had to brave the elements to get a hot meal before he caught the Heathrow Express back home. A serious blight on our day.

If this had been a £20 buffet in a Holiday Inn it might have been fine. Unfortunately, it was a £65 buffet in a Hilton. The wait staff, while attentive, didn't have much wait experience. We kept having to ask that they replace the cutlery that was being taken away with our plates...occasionally even being asked to move our arms so they could wisk things away. The food was ok but the roast was so rare it was blue (staff put the microwave on double duty), the roast potatoes were crunchy in the middle and I'm pretty sure only the bacon around the bacon wrapped sausages was cooked. Buffet selection was also not up to par with the price and decor that was distinctly cafeteria like. This was all topped off with an extra £5.10 for a cappuccino...more than double anywhere else we've been in London. It was good at least.

Indian lunch Mon-Fri buffet is now £14.50, but includes a meat dish (often chicken) and a free tea or coffee. Generally improved, more variety in veg. Still their main - and sometimes ONLY - spicing of chili kills all the other ingredients. Whether aubergine, channa, mushrooms, mixed veg, salad veg, it all mushes into a chili haze. They seem to think the customers want it that way. But is it what contemporary Indian cooking has become? Waiter service still sporadically lackadaisical, though the managers try their best. Not value for money.

i stay at the Hilton Hotel Paddington often and many times eat at the restaurant for pure convenience. good variety of dishes. wine selection is ok. service has been either great or just average. sometimes takes a while to get attention. my last night there i ate at the restaurant. I got there right at 6 when they open as i had conference calls starting at 7. I asked to be seating, they sat me, and i sat there with no menu or anyone asking me if I wanted something to drink even! I had to get up and ask for a menu eventually. I think the person that sat me down realized his mistake and gave a little sheepish smile "oops" smile. It was just one of those things but i was in a semi rush. The food is average. One of the last times I stayed there I asked for the beef to be cooked medium, it was more medium well. and they forgot to season it. it happens. i do think it is slightly on the expensive side for the dishes they offer but it's a hotel and hotels always jack up the price of food/drinks. i'll eat here again due to conveinece and it is one of the better options within a few minutes walk. at least from what i've tried down the street. I would recommend Frontline which is a 3 minute walk from hotel if debating whether to eat at hotel or get a quick walk and good food in. overall, Brasserie is fine for dinner and the convience makes all the difference if staying at hotel and been out all day at meetings and just want to be close to your bed and things. (note: I have prob traveled to london over 50 times so if this is one of your first few times - i would suggest going around, taking tube even, to other places to experience the culture and local scenes).

I have been there on Wednesday 16th of March with a work colleague for a traditional afternoon tea. It was fantastic. After walking through the city and taking many times the underground it was a pleasure to find a relaxing place to recover energies until the end of the day. It took place at The Brasserie & Lounge where we had delicious snacks and a traditional tea. The hottie scones with the cream and jam were amazing where I added the strawberry in the top and the victorian sponge cake was appetising. It was very quiet so we could receive a great customer service, especially from Jessica and Renata who were courteous and attentive. They had extraordinary manners and etiquette and they have been quite genuine and honest with us. Also an other waiter who at the end brought the bill with the best of his gentleness helped me to put on my coat.I really enjoyed a place with great food and careful manners from a smiling staff.I work also as a customer host so, where you give good in somewhere you will receive also good.Thank you very much.Kind Regards,Jose V.

I'd go as far as saying this was the worst experience I have ever had, I will never be returning and would not recommend it to anyone. I ordered a £16 curry hoping, from the Hilton, it would be incredible (being Indian myself I know what a good curry is) and it was appalling. I had about two mouthfuls and couldn't eat anymore. It was far too creamy, had very little spice and they had just thrown in some vegetables. Literally a typical 'English style curry'. My friends chicken was like rubber and the portion size was awful, she managed to eat hers though. I didn't want to continue eating it so let the waiter know who spoke down to me and told me that the chefs are Indian too so it is proper curry. After a short argument, he offered for it to be remade but I didn't want it and just asked for the bill to leave. I could see him and his colleagues were talking and laughing about it and he came over and handed me the bill. He had taken the service charge off but not the meal so i let him know that I really wasn't happy to pay that after not eating it. He told me he can't take it off. He got the duty manager over who also said they won't be taking it off baring in mind I hadn't ate it and made it very clear this whole experience and service was horrendous. He then finally offered to get me something different but at this point I didn't really want to eat anything more from here. I paid it and as we left the lady sarcastically went 'you're welcome'. During the meal the staff were shouting at each other across the room, the lady was saying 'so and so has done more jobs than you, serve'. I think the way they handled it was appalling and unprofessional. Don't go here if you want your money's worth.

Paddington Hilton guests should look to Brasserie as a high quality staple restaurant for their London stay. I have dined multiple times here for dinner and appreciate the chef's inventive approach to food preparation and flavor profiles (think spicy prawns, mint chutney sprinkled with pomegranates and fried peppers). The staff are friendly, proactive, knowledgable and friendly. After just two experiences dining, Sachin knew my wine preference and was suggesting dishes I should try, based on my previous palate. Courses were well timed, and tasted fresh and flavorful. Adrian (the host/manager) is warm and welcoming, and went out of his way to find me a table which was well suited for a solo diner. Positives: Great location for Subway and trains; very efficient concierge staff; chef at the restaurant talented; rooms clean and well kept.Negatives: Restaurant service very poor; disorganized and inefficient- need managerial direction. Hotel staff not very accommodating- I emailed twice and called once prior to my visit, asking for a room with two queen beds- when I arrived I got a king and a roll away. I spent 8 nights on a roll away. To upgrade to two queens would have cost another $150.00 per night on top of the nearly $300.00 per night I was paying. For the 8 nights I was staying I could have purchased a queen size bed with mattresses with the additional charge. The hotel's response was that since I booked through Expedia, I had to take it up with them. Of course there is no phone number readily available for Expedia, so you are just stuck. Expedia may be great for flights, but I'll never use them again to do combinations- the supposed savings are not worth the risks. I did not receive what was advertised and what I thought I was paying for.

I was at first leery of staying here based on the reviews on lack of customer service. I was very wrong. The suite we stayed in was very accommodating and they even added and extra table and roll a way bed in the living area that had a sofa bed. That made it very nice for our guest that came along with us. The extra full bath, dressers, closet and desk in the spare room was wonderful as well. The access to the executive Lounge was a great bonus. We arrived very early from our flight and since the room was not ready, we were able to relax and enjoy the complimentary breakfast. They have snacks as well in the afternoon, tea in the later afternoon and a happy hour from 6-8 pm. The friendliest concierge that really added to the stay was PRASANNA! He was so helpful, overwhelmingly kind and such a bright cheerful attitude. When we would see him as we came in and out of the building, he always waved and smiled and called us by name. He is a GEM! Hilton should promote him, because he excels at his position! I can't say enough kind things about him. All of the benefits of staying here, (room set up, the Lounge AND PRASANNA) definitely makes this a place I would recommend and come back to if I visit London in the future.

Close to the tube, Paddington Station and surrounded by small shops, pubs and restaurants. Our room was excellent, 9 foot ceilings and charm being the rule of the day. The beds were comfy, the room well-appointed and staff was responsive. The only reason this did not get an excellent review was the frayed carpet in the foyer and lobby stairs. The only reason for not giving this experience 1 star is that the food, when it eventually arrived, was actually quite nice. Also, the experience was so bad, it was hysterically funny. Some people pay for this level of entertainment. We arrived at 330pm and within 20 minutes, a waitress arrived with 10 glasses of prosecco on a tiny tray clearly not designed for 10 glasses of prosecco. A recipe for disaster, I hear you say. Indeed it was, when delicious, fizzy liquid came tumbling down from a great height, all over a colleague's trousers, much to the hilarity of all present. Even our friend in the damp pantaloons saw the funny side. Our waitress was extremely apologetic and charmingly offered for our colleague to remove his trousers to give to housekeeping. I suppose he could've gone home draped in napkins. At 415, our tea and coffee of choice arrived. I don't know how hot drinks can take 45 mins to prepare. The tea was cold/lukewarm, served on chipped plates, and one of our party had to ask for milk.At 425, a new waiter told us the scones were still cooking and would be five minutes. It was hard to work out why the service was so slow given how empty the restaurant was.At 430, the fire alarm went off, making us think we were in a new episode of Beadle's About. A drill, apparently. I guess we can be thankful the sprinklers didn't go off, but given we were there for a wedding shower, perhaps that would've been apt. Finally, tea arrived 1 hr and 15 minutes after we sat down. And delicious it was too. However, when we asked for a doggy bag, the manager refused on health and safety grounds. We looked for a few seconds at him to see if he was joking. Then we looked again for hidden cameras to check we definitely weren't on candid camera. No candid cameras. We asked what was dangerous about a coffee-flavoured macaroon, particularly? "No, sorry - we don't allow you to take away the food for health and safety." We just weren't sure how a strawberry tart could be mistaken for a weapon of mass destruction and wondered if anyone could really be blinded by a cucumber finger sandwich poked in the eye.Eventually, the manager saw the exacerbation on our faces, handed us our danger-sweets wrapped in sliver foil and said, "here you are. Take them at your own risk."At least we got our money's worth.PS the decor needs updating.

If you can get a decent rate-and that is not always easy-this is the place to stay. Walk upstairs from the Heathrow Express and you are there. Hyde Park is a ten minute stroll, Marble Arch via Edgware Road perhaps half an hour, or take the tube across the street. Try a Junior Suite for access to the Executive Lounge, free breakfast and happy hour. No downside I can think of except the cost.

4 of us came here on Sunday afternoon for afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco wine included in the Groupon deal we had. Oh what a delight! I've done a few Hilton afternoon teas in London and this was another great one! The staff were very nice and the sandwiches you choose 3 of your choice from the selection then they do make them. Meanwhile your prosecco and tea/coffee arrives. When the cake tier came out it was very nice! Could tell the bread was fresh and fillings yummy! Hubby had more sandwiches as was included in our deal but neither other 3 of us could fit anymore in! 6 selection of cakes and a warm scone each! Really lovely! If anything negative I didn't like the cups/saucers etc! Just boring white and other Hiltons do fancy china! Having said that would recommend as we were well looked after and enjoyed all of it :)

Had breakfast here on a recent stay which was quite an average spread.....if its not included in your room rate I would not pay the expensive price personally as you can go outside the hotel in Paddington

High tea here was one of my favourites in all of London. (And yes, the marmalades were good - Paddington Bear fans will understand that!)Also the Indian food items are some of the best on the menu - tasty curry dishes, well seasoned Indian samosa pies.

I've stayed at the Paddington Hotel a couple of times now and enjoyed each time very much. The front desk staff and concierge are excellent. Very friendly and professional. The restaurant (off the lobby) needs to get engaged. The help tends to be slow and uninspired. The rooms are generous in size and the beds comfortable. Very quiet Hotel and located very central within London. I highly recommend.

Had a groupon voucher for afternoon tea for 2 people, £12 per person. There was 4 of us and we were looking forward to it, we booked in advance and it was the first time we came into Hilton Paddington. It was a bit uncertain where the restaurant was and no one to direct us, we walked towards the very back, passed the lobby and found it. We were seated, the restaurant was quite empty but the waitress decided to put 5 of us in a small corner with the table next to us full, a business meeting of 6 people, it was quite squashed up, and we didn't understand why she did this, as they were constantly talking quite loudly. The afternoon tea came with prosecco, and when the tiers came out, it did look really nice, however we didn't feel like the portions were reasonable for 2 people to share. Overall, it was a nice place, but over priced for the food given, I am sure there are better afternoon tea places in London.

Visited the restaurant in the Paddington Hilton and was impressed with the venue and quality of food. Excellent staff and excellent service. Table visited at regular intervals by the staff to see if everything was ok.Would recommend for a meal or business lunch. I would also recommend for afternoon tea.

Located within the confines of Paddington Station, take the Heathrow Express and you are at your hotel. Apparently newly remodeled - at least in the executive tower - a busy big hotel still maintains a small hotel feel and attention to guests and detail - from check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Breakfast in the executive lounge was enhanced by a personable, friendly and service focused Roydin, the attendant, as well as a cheery, engaging woman (name forgotten, sorry) who cooked perfect eggs each morning.

Arrived on Friday 31st of July tired after traveling from north Scotland checked in but room wasn't ready, returned later to be told our card had been declined and we may not be able to stay in hotel.after spending over half an hour of my time on phone to bank, only to find out our card had been charged with an extra £100 debited that we had no idea about.my wife went to reception and told the receptionist we had proof it had been paid, she argued the fact until my wife asked to speak to the manager.over an hour time wasted and one migraine later the manager was able to see the room had been paid for.on arriving home we then noticed we had been charged twice, it is such a pity as the hotel is in a great location and we would have loved to return but it has seriously put us off, never again.

Recomendo!

I really enjoyed my visit to the Hilton Hotel for Afternoon Tea for two. The variety of cakes were good and the staff were attentive and friendly. They made sure we were okay and was happy to top up our plates and tea at no extra cost. Renata was especially warm and friendly and made the visit extra special with her exceptional customer service. Five stars for her. Overall I gave four stars because there could have been a larger variety of sandwiches (There was no chicken or red meat sandwiches for meat eaters) and a few other unusal teas if you wanted to try something different instead of the usual ones and maybe tablecloth on our table. However my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it nevertheless. Good value for money with Groupon. Will definitely visit again. A big thank you; especially to Renata.

My husband was given a 3 course meal for 2 plus champagne for his birthday. We had a very enjoyable meal, with excellent service. All of the courses were very tasty and a good sized portion and there were no hidden extras, we just paid to have coffee to finish with as this was not included in the birthday meal. Overall a very pleasant experience made even better by the attentiveness of the staff. The closeness of the venue to Paddington Station made it so easy to get to.

At the suggestion of one of our party of four (plus baby) who had recently been to Aubaine in Selfridges we went to this Hampstead restaurant for breakfast on a cold but clear Saturday morning in early October. After having walked from Euston station into Hampstead we were ready for a good breakfast. Walked in off the street not having made a reservation where we were seated downstairs directly under the stairs (we had a child & buggy) and after looking at the menu and wishing we’d gone next door to Cote Brasserie we gave our orders to the waitress. Scrambled egg and salmon £8.00 (came with 1 piece of cold rock hard toasted bread with no butter or spread offered-maybe that’s the French way? two cherry tomatoes and curly kale), pot of tea £2.95, 2x formule sante £12.00 each (poached egg with avocado on seeded toast) one with fresh orange juice, one with a pot of tea, one pain au raisin £2.50 and one bottle of evian water (750ml) £4.00. We asked that one of the poached eggs be well done and when the food arrived the waitress said she couldn’t remember which was which but she could go back to the kitchen and ask but we declined this offer thinking we’d soon learn ourselves, well we did as they were both well done with one being more well done than the other making it more hard boiled than poached and did I mention my rock hard toast? All looked good (see my photo’s) and to be fair the scrambled egg , salmon and curly kale were fine but the rest was a poor do. Tea was nice as was the orange juice but you can‘t really mess that up. The total bill was £41.45 plus the norm (for Hampstead at any rate) service charge of 12.5% adding another £5.18 giving us a grand total of £46.63 for what was essentially three plates of egg, a bun and a couple of drinks. I had been thinking of trying this place for lunch or dinner but this experience of breakfast has put me off. I'm being generous with my overall rating of a three because it really falls between two and three.

We lunched with friends and had very good food and service. All at a very reasonable cost for the centre of London. I got an email after booking to say we could be restricted in time at the table. As we were meeting friends from overseas, I queried this possibility and was assured we could take our time. Pleased I did this as we nearly went elsewhere...!
