I ordered two cappuccinos priced at almost £4 each. For this price they arrived in paper cups but more disappointedly the only resemblance to coffee was that the drinks were hot, brown and wet. The flavour of coffee was almost imperceptible. When I pointed this out to the server she simply said this was a common complaint but it could be fixed with an extra shot and of course extra charge! To me this is like buying a new car and then being told that the wheels are extra. In all a disappointing experience. Paul may be well known for its good bread and cakes but certainly needs to pay more attention to its coffee offering.

The food is quite good but the customer is so bad. I was there but no one to serve so that I said “ Excuse me” for two times. I seems these staffs are not good enough under the training. As I am the person from hospitality, I would recommend to have better customer services. Thanks:)

Great place! The pastries were delicious, but the best part was the service. I made the fatal mistake of not checking or asking about allergies upfront (i have nut allergy so this is obviously my responsibility), but Bianca solved it all with a big smile. She checked every item down to the detail, and helped me find what i wanted, which ended up being the chocolate eclair (very good). Therefore, my boyfriend and I had a very relaxing break after a long walk. Recommend!

Doesn't accept cash. This annoys me so much. When did cash become an invalid form of payment? Rediculous. Pizza was nice but was very annoyed not to be able to use cash.

We had a coffee sitting outside which was nice then we looked for some food to take away. We settled on a baguette. Unfortunately they just don't do the range that they used to so no smoked salmon or brie and as I don't eat ham I was stuck with either chicken or mozzarella..I went for chicken which was very nice but I would have liked more choice.

Who would have thought that a small patisserie squashed between a Starbucks and a Pret A Manger near Hollan Park tube could prove to be such a splendid haven after a busy morning. Good Coffee and really Outstanding Hot Chocolate were accompanied by scrumptious patisseries and truly French quality filled baguettes. Congratulations to a helpful bubbly crew behind the counter. Well done All. David & Elaine

No complaints with the food, we had various baguette sandwiches and sausage rolls, all excellent. However, trying to cram customers around the card point area while waiting to pay or collect in order to serve quicker is not ideal.

We used to love Paul very much, and handout weekly, as many friends are retired, so like to meet up and chat. Since last year they cancelled card collection but use only Apps, most of our group moved to Costa, as Costa and Cafe Nero still keep both card stamps and apps. Too much Apps in mobile, take out space and slow down phone process also run out battery too fast, so we do not like to install any more app, If Paul only target on young people to age 50 customers, and do not care of those retired people who used simple mobile, or not familiar with smart phone to install their apps, then we can all moved to other coffee shop or restaurants. Food was okay, desserts used to be better.

So my mom is on vacation in London, and we want to have a latte and a de caffeinated coffee. Yes I am French but I’ve lived in China, Dubai and Switzerland where I studied my courses in English. Because I couldn’t say de caffeinated coffee properly, one of the staff asked in front of everybody « which language I was speaking? » and before I even answered another one said « French » . All of them looking at them like I’m very dumb. Really offended me. I worked in F&B and I know the service you need to give to your clients, either you’re working at Paul’s, either you’re working in a 5 stars hotel. I found it very unprofessional to ask such a question instead of being patient, and just simply ask again. Very disappointed, so we went to Starbucks next door, where the lady was very patient and very nice.

Turquoise had just opened. They've done a fabulous job in redecorating the old Cafe Rouge. Brightly coloured, it's warm and welcoming and the food is very good. I've only eaten there once with a friend, but we both really enjoyed our lunches. I had garlic prawns; she had lamb chops and both were delicious. In the centre of Highgate Village, it's a lovely place to pop in for coffee, which I have also done.

If you're looking for the best crêpes in town, don't miss the original crêpe stand—it's amazing and totally worth the visit! Be careful not to confuse it with the new stand next door run by a local pub; it doesn't match the quality of the original. Stick with the best!
