2nd visit, after the very poor experience with roe and chips, decided in small fish and scallops. Again soaked and dripping in oil, too the point all batter stuck to part and not the fish. Not particularly enjoyable and very unlikely to return for 3rd try. Suggest strongly please allow fish/scallops etc to drain before putting in the paper. Not the best, not even average.

Food is constantly at a high standard. Potatoes they use are of good quality, not the cheap, tasteless whites most restaurant's use . Fish is cooked to perfection every time, not overcooked, unlike every other chippy for miles around.

I can not leave a review on food because the large fish I ordered when walking in, after watching the fish I ordered been served to two different customers after me. When i questioned this at the till the lady said your not in the queue?? I said iv ordered my fish 15 minutes ago!! And then still served the fish I ordered to another customer! Even the customer said he was before me!Won't be visiting again. Horrendous.

I love the staff, so friendly always have a good chat. Food cooked fresh and tastes very good 👍 from me.

I have updated my review as Chicken Time responded and apologized quickly and are addressing the early delivery issue with Deliveroo. Chicken Time are a good local family run restaurant and the quality of the food has always been very good. It is a shame that Deliveroo let them down on this occasion. I have updated my rating to reflect the food quality and service from Chicken Time. 'Ordered delivery and was told would be between 18.10- 18.30 Thought ok we were out and would get home by 18.00 Deliveroo left outside on our doorstep at 17.50. No advance notice ! Arrived to a stone cold meal Chicken Time - sort it out !'

4 large Chips, egg fried rice and curry sauce in a tray 17.00. Trays am crammed and was gorgeous with some spice. Perfect for a quick fix after a cold night out with the fam 😁
