Chunky Chicken Bury in Bury

Overall the food was cold, dry and tasteless especially the peritowarp. We couldn’t eat the wrap as it was all soggy and no taste, even the chips were overcooked and just dry, no sauces were sent!. Really disappointed with the food the food and service, would never order from this place again.

I tried a fillet burger for the first time, and it was even better than what I had heard. The burger was absolutely delicious, way beyond expectations. I wasn’t hungry to say it was good because of that—no, I tried it, and taste-wise, it was amazing. The burger was extremely tasty, very tasty.

Customers service is very much poor, I go with my little daughter and someone who asked me for drink my little need a drink and she not seen because its very side she just little trying to tell desk person but some of the one suddenly shout on my daughter and very Rodley no one is allowed in side even she is just out side tell them witch drink she need, she is very upset for the behaviour of like a nice takeaway but even no one is apologise to harassing my little daughter even me and upset for this behaviour with a little one, its shows like a unprofessional customer service, Thanks

If anyone says this place is dead or didnt get good service THERE LYING!! I ordered peri burger and peri wings which was AMAZING, to top it of they put and extra peri burger in my bag with out me knowing saying FREE. Thats what I call customer service. Went here for the first time the order day after being recommended it by a few people, kindly offered me a peri burger to try as it was our first time, every single thing we took a bite out of was cooked perfectly and tasted good, the popcorn chicken and peri flavouring were definitely the highlight for me. Will definitely come back again

I am a big fan of chicken strips so thought I’d try here and what a let down. I’d rate the strips a 3/10. Small, hard coating, no seasoning, dry. Crap selection of sauces. Just really disappointing for a chicken shop.

offers fresh food with generous portions. However, I have tasted better flavour on the batter on the chicken wings and strips were frozen not fresh, detracting from the overall flavor. While the food was cooked to order ensuring its freshness which is commendable, a better tasting batter would greatly improve the dining experience. The chips with the peri salt were amazing very crunchy and tasted fantastic some of the best tasting chips I have had

Food was beyond my expectations . The only thing was the absence of sitting space and ambiance.

Yousaf has amazing customer service, and going there alone is worth it. The food is very cheap compared to the quality. The chips are crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The burger was not very juicy, but at this price, it's really worth it. The hot wings were the same, not juicy but not too oily. Overall, it's the best out there in terms of price and quality.

Worst customer service ever, two of the staff members were rude

Poor customer service. Lack of understanding to satisfy customers needs is not in their criteria. Very unprofessional and argumentative when the order was their mistake, but decided to not own up to it and persisted not to make new batch of food over the phone to satisfy their loyal customer they had.

I recently visited Chunky Chicken in Bury and had a very disappointing experience. I was told my food would be ready in 5 minutes, but ended up waiting much longer for no apparent reason. To make matters worse, I could see my food was ready, yet the server chose to prioritize and serve other customers who arrived after me. This level of service is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. By the time I finally received my food, it was unimpressive as the server didnt care. I hope the management addresses this issue to prevent future customers from having a similar experience. Very poor service.

Rude and disrespectful staff. Placed an order for collection, they somehow misunderstood and put it for delivery without confirming the delivery address (i wasnt even home). They sent it out for delivery. I asked for new order as food will be cold, they refused and dint own up to their mistake.

I’ve attempted to order food from here three times at various different times and each time has my order cancelled, Advertising that they are open and have discount's when they can’t fulfill basic orders? Pathetic

This is the best chicken take away, And sit in for peri peri chicken, weather it's full chicken and rice or peri peri wings, Burger meal. You name it it's all nice and well priced. I would go as fair to say it's as good as Nandos.

By far the best Chunky Chicken, I have been to many different Chunky Chicken branches but this one in Bury always hits the spot. Chunky Chicken Birth place is Rochdale and thats where I'm from, my go to place at first was Rochdale Chunky Chicken but now its Bury. It's always very busy but credit to the lads they do an amazing job. 7*s all round.

This is probably the best takeaway in Greater Manchester! I’ve been going here for a few years and the food quality is amazing for the prices. The place is clean and organised and it’s always busy but they never lower their standard. If you’re in Bury and want some food, this is a must go place 😁🔥 I’d recommend the uzi burger or inferno burger 😋 Honestly, this is my favourite place to get takeaway food as the quality of the meat is amazing and it’s clearly fresh. I recommend it to everyone who loves flavorful and delicious food 💯

I put 5 because i came on staturday i asked for a jerj burger they put 2 patties on but very spicy it had spicy sauce dripping of it and it gave me chap lips but very good.

Best Chicken shop bar non. Only other than can give run for money is Nandos. Deffo takeout if you can but we were lucky to get a seat and the chicken fillet burger, chicken peri peri was outstanding.

It’s always busy for a reason. Had food from here three times. It’s always been amazing.

Food is nice. Very hard to find spaces to eat in. Also, delivery's commonly take 1.5 hours. Service with regards to chit chats, smiles etc is dependent on which staff member takes your order. It's a busy place and if you walk in to order, expect to wait. Can get Very cramped if waiting. Parking is available on the side. But, what I do not like is, loads of cars are parked on the main road, which causes a lit of danger to other drivers and pedestrians.

The best food in bury no doubt shame they can't upgrade they phone system or online system we in 2023. You got 5 stars for food but 1 for service as you never answer your phone and why have you got website. I have been terribly disappointed with this place in recent months, to the point now where it's time to call it a day! Lack of attention to quality of food. Got chicken wrap in mouldy wrap. Rice = tasteless. As their business has expanded over the years, prices have gone up but the quality of food deteriorated same time. So sad to these businesses in Bury taking the same route time and Again. I like to support local businesses at this difficult time, but not at all costs. I'm sure they wouldn't miss my custom. I won't miss them either!

Decent food, I asked for as spicy as they could possibly make. I was disappointed since I could have compared it to pepper seasoning.

I waited over 30 minutes for the order and delivery driver canceled the order for no reason. I do not recommend ! Yes I ordered via Uber. I order from many places via Uber and this has never happened before.

We ordered two full Chicken Platters, one with Rice and the other with Chips. The Chicken was hard and Chewy as though it was overcooked and certainly not fresh. The Rice was also hard and not fresh although the Chips and Salad was on point. Must say l was let down with the food unfortunately. The atmosphere and service was pleasant and the shop was super clean. We will be trying the Burgers, Wraps and Pizza 🍕 next time and I'll again leave my honest review as always. Do give this place a try with friends and Family 👍🏼

Entering this Takeaway you would be forgiven if you thought you were entering the big brother house as they have got CCTV cameras all over the place, Being a cyclist the thing that i don't like is the way people usually taxi drivers park their cabs on the cycle lane at the front of the shop, it's a bad stretch of road as it is there near the traffic lights & vehicles parked there cause a disruption has other cars are jockeying for position at the traffic light junction I am very surprised that the traffic enforcement officers in the area don't start clamping the cars more often. Food in the shop ain't very good either, I'd rung up with my order & called in 10 minutes later for it & I then had to wait around 15 minutes for them to prepare it. i suggest going through those traffic lights & calling at KFC & get yourself a Bargain Bucket.🐓

Small busy Chunky Chicken. Peri burger was crispy, fresh, juicy, good flavour. Chips are nice they just need to add peri salt as an option because that is really nice in the Chorlton branch. I also tried the Let’s Meet burger. I prefer the normal bun to the small brioche bun. And the beef patty was soft and tender but unable to taste it much due to the strong peri flavour. But it’s a good option

Peri peri burger and chicken was amazing and tender. Once I tried their peri peri burger with beef pety in it as well but that was something I won't fancy again. I ll rather have peri burger without beef. Highly recommended They serve fresh food all the time .

Every time we drove past, it was always busy, so we tried it, and the staff were friendly, helpful with fast to take the order, keeping the long queues down. We got home after a short wait. The food was fantastic, very holesum, and we were stuffed.

This place is a joke nowadays, no customer service. The staff all give you a weird dirty look the minute you walk in. Too busy serving their mates to care about any other customers. Food has gone very downhill, that was the only thing saving it but now u have to wait 30mins + for a watered down chicken burger. Never again.

Tasty food but Staff needs better training for customer service. Most annoying is having to dial the number multiple times to get through. Invest in a better phone system, it won't make you poor.

Absolutely shocking service! Had to wait nearly an hour for my order after being told “15 minutes bro!”. Looking at the disgruntled faces around me I don’t think I was the only one. But if you’re friends with the staff then you should be fine- “walk in, shake hands, get served, walk out “.

Absolutely delicious food. Bury one is the best and never disappointed. I normally travel 5 miles from Prestwich for this specific restaurant. Love it.

The staff were very nice and the food was good. Much better than I expected from a local fast food place. The only weird part for me was that there were so many staff, more employees then spaces for customers, so I took the food home instead of eating there.

Hmmm know heres a place I find a real none treat, are these battery hens your using here as they have a taste, well tasteless. Your buns are not great either there rather flat, again nothing like the pictures you advertise. The other thing I find amazing is how so many people can park out side on a double yellow line with 2 yellow strips for eligal parking and get away with it. Though the place get quite full it take ages to get served, at weekends not a good thing when you hungry and wanting food.
