Tasty Fried Chicken in Luton

Used to be good pretty average now

A Disappointing Experience I recently dined at tasty peri peri and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The service was okay but the man on the till was confused about the menus and price .The food was disappointing. The peri peri chicken arrived not proper grilled and undercooked, Further , I noticed extra charges on the bill for the salad that was usually served one day before with the chicken . I questioned the charges, the staff was unapologetic and unhelpful in resolving the matter but tried to just the charge uncooked food, and hidden charges made this a regrettable experience. It was never happened before . I would recommend them work on the mentioned areas .

Food was fantastic when it first opened up, we go regularly with the boys after football 2-3 times a week but now they sold to another it has dramatically gone downhill big time, the chicken doesn’t seem to be grilled properly, the sauce is water down, portioned is a lot smaller and the chilli sauce isn’t great like the original owner recipe but the worst thing the place was filthy dirty and they wasn’t even busy at that time to bother to clean. Now after football, me & the boys goes to Leagrave original Peri Peri, their food is much much better than this dirty place.

guy said 4 minutes came in 5 mins later and he said it will take another 5 mins. I'm okay with that but the food was rubbery and didn't taste right. this is not how I remembered these guys, they used to have nice food

Absolute HORRIBLE customer service. Every single time I’ve gone to get something they have ALWAYS messed up my order. I tried calling them multiple times and they would pretend as if they couldn’t hear me once I started talking about what happened. Then they wouldn’t even pick up the phone after calling them again. It seems they’re keen enough to take your money but not actually provide a decent or even average service. A few years ago tastys used to be our top place to get chicken chips but now I don’t know who owns it or who’s running the place but it’s absolute rubbish. The food isn’t even the same as before and now you’ve got rude boys working the till.

Really good tasting chicken and chips and nice chilli and mayo sauce. Quality, unlike the town centre surroundings. They could make the inside a bit nicer but then agains it’s a chicken shop in Luton

Banging chicken chips, with that old school feel. The chicken is well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the skin is nice and crispy and the sauce compliments the meal perfectly.

I ordered 5 wings x4 and they charged £20 And they placed in each bag 4 wings and am a regular costumer and they try to win on me on the worst way possible no way going there again 😡😡

Look before I start with my bad review I will say this. They serve nice food it's true, but now comes the bad part, they should clean better the place. They have loads of costumers every time of the day so just get someone properly trained to do the cleaning at least, because the tables most of the times are full of grease, the chairs just thrown in the bin! And get new ones.. You literally will seat there and your clothes they will stick on the chair, I'm sorry but it's the true. For the money they do there.. They should care more about the place.

The food is good but need more attention preparing it . Ordered the full platter with Lime and Herbed flavour ; the lime is over powering and salty . Little bit disappointed but may go back again . Thanks

Hello all. I went in to this takeaway after a long time. I was horrified with the customer service from the manager. He didn't even greet me to start with, and served me in such a angry frustrated way. I even mentioned to him, this is not the way to serve customers. I wont be going back again and will go to Sam's next door instead. Also the chips were not cooked well.

Very racist staff with other nationalities. they are only kind to Indians, Pakistan. the others must wait.I do not recommend.

I absolutely love Tastys and have done for 10+ years. There was a time where the taste of food changed right after they bought the new store next door but now it seems like it was like how it was before. But the main reason for scoring low was because I was told delivery will take 1hr 15mins! Shocking for simple chicken and chips and the minimum charge is also £15 including a a delivery fee of £2. I would expect it to come quicker than 45mins for that price and for what it is. So I simply think they do not have the staff for it which is a shame

Customer service is great and the food is fresh and delicious. My only concern is that the air conditioning wasn't working in this hot weather, otherwise, this would have been a perfect experience. Would highly recommend it.

premium prices for food but the quality is so bad. You need to review your bad practice. “O my people! Serve Allah, you have no god other than He, and do not give short measure and weight. Surely I see you in prosperity and surely I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing day. And O my people! Give full measure and weight fairly, and defraud not men their things, and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.” (Surah Hud 11: 84-85).

Gone slightly down hill but still banging

One of the best peri peri/fried chicken eateries in Luton. It is a family business and they do treat each customer with utmost respect and ensure the highest customer service. The chilli sauce is the best in town. As the shop is in the main town centre, parking is an issue, so keep that in mind.

It has been famous place but now its rubbish. They are very pricy. Chicken chips are horriboe as chicken was over fried łíkę stone. Really disappointed.

chicken and chips is generally fresh but the main reason to visit is their chilli sauce which when combined with ketchup and mayonnaise is amazing

I used to go regularly but they seem to have really dropped their portion size while increasing their prices. Really not worth it anymore. What really set me off is the so called tower burger on the menu has double patty of chicken showing in the picture but was delivered with one patty and a single hash brown. And let's not even talk about the amount of fries you get with your meal now, I mean a kids meal probably contains a lot more fries than a supposed tower burger meal. Really not happy and wouldn't recommend at all for the size and the price of the portions. 👎👎👎

The title is what it says. Very tasty food whether it's fried or peri peri. What separates this from the rest is their chilli and mayo..... Delicious

One of the better peri peri places in Luton. This place probably just slightly behind Leagrave Road peri peri. Better value for money at Leagrave Road and have two decent chilli sauces as opposed to just one at tasty fried.

Absolutely great tasting food. Delivery was loooong, but, I was advised this at the time of placing my order. It was worth the wait!!....great large portions!! Thankyou

1st visit since 2019 to find a New layout & same great food. We have used this place for years and always have a good deal dinner.cheap but good food and nice chilli 🌶 sauce 😋 This place actually has a good name as the food is Tasty! A visit is well Recommend

Do not get a delivery from this place. Said 1hr-1:20. We rang after 1:30 asking if our food was on the way, the person who picked up the phone said that the driver was leaving now and will be with us in 10 mins. Driver arrived with the food 30mins later with cold chips. Total wait time 2hours, with cold chips. Awful experience.

I have been going to tasty's on and off since my teens. The quality had always been superb, however my recent trip in October 2020 , much like 2020 was a disappointment. Since they merged both of their small takeaways together into one big joint, the food did not have that same quality as before. The chillie sauce is still the same , which was a nice reminder of what Tasty's used to be like

We had gone to this restaurant for a quick bite to eat, however the service we received by the person with the beard which we presume was the owner was appalling. We were actually quite taken aback at his attitude and the way he spoke with us as though he was doing us a favour. We only decided to go to this one as it was empty and thought we could get a table without having to wait around. Quite a few of the tables had rubbish left behind and chairs and tables hadn’t been cleaned and sanitised. Furthermore the food wasn’t tasty at all as the name would suggest so we would not be returning back, not worth it!

I have been your customer since i was 13. Im now 35. The service is not how it used to be. I brought a kebab last week it was so dry i could not swallow it. The food was thrown away. I travelled far to enjoy ur food i was not impressed. You guys used to be smiley, happy to serve all, and had great hospitality. Please bring that service back, i placed my money in ur colleagues hand, he returned my money back, by putting my money on the table. Truly sad to see to b honest. Used to go here regularly after college - was v gd then (or I thought so at the time). Having visited a couple times recently for nostalgia - standards dropped significantly.

Out of this world fried chicken, not greasy, tender, juicy and crispy. The fries are spot on and the chilli sauce....omg the chilli sauce. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Used to be amazing, however since the refurbishment the shop looks cleaner and fresher. HOWEVER... the food has gone downhill (Massively), chicken is like wood, sauces are now watered down and prices have gone up!! What used to be my go-to place every week is now the place I will avoid like the plague. such a shame!!!

Since the refurbishment I feel that the quality of food has gone down. I have just come back to Luton, visiting from Saudi Arabia and was craving tastys. I ordered for 9 people and whilst the service was excellent the food was unfortunately not. The donner meat was dry, the chips were overcooked and the chicken was super overcooked and salty. Chilli and mayo is still the same quality though, thankfully.

Only 3 stars from me as the last ,3, times I've put in a order both times no desert and today still no deserts no rice and no mango drink 😬😬😬😬

Mayonnaise is smashing! Chicken wrap is my go to item always, combined with the chilli sauce and salad its great.

Prefer eating inside rather than taking away because the chips these guys make are awesome. I love the chicken wrap and the mayonnaise and chilli sauce its just too good. A few times the food wasn't as it normally is but 97 out of a 100 times it's smashing.

Really dissapointed only ordered from here because i love the mayo not even a joke when it came today they mayo was not what im used to i couldnt even eat it so i wont be orderinh again i cant eat that shit 😭😭😭

Now that surely is lip licking good the chilli sauce is definately worth trying i enjoyed my chicken & chips... Would i go there again yes i would. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is tempted to have a good piece of chicken with chips.
