This happened twice, I pay for extra and get same portion I have GDK all over London and this place in Luton is the worst, check a review here also complaining about same issue, you pay more for same thing, just don’t pay extra here because the portion is the same !!!

I had ordered two "mixed" Doner Boxes with Fries, with one of them specifically meant to include an extra mix of meat (beef and chicken). However, upon receiving the order, both boxes were identical in size and contained the same small portions. This left me extremely disappointed as I expected the extra mix to include a larger portion of meat. This was my first experience ordering from your establishment, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations therefore it will be my last. The absence of the promised extra portion and the notably small portion sizes have left me feeling dissatisfied and, frankly, like I have been completely ripped off with no one held accountable. I believe accurate fulfilment of orders are crucial for customer satisfaction, and maybe someone can provide an explanation for the discrepancy and perhaps consider measures to ensure such instances do not occur in the future. I gave two stars because the food tasted ok but there just was not enough of it.

Perfect place to try a doner without any doubt

We had the OG Kebab that was packed full of meat. The fries were piping hot and chilly cheese bites were absolutely delicious. Portions were very generous. Well worth the money. Big shout to Jaspreet. Awesome customer service with a lovely smile.

Ordered via Uber. Extra meat missing. Barely any salad. Feta cheese missing from kebab. Cheese missing from cheesy chips. Kebabs done right? I don't think so.

Do not trust their 50% off offers via JustEat, they’ll just provide half the food. I’ve always bought doner box with fries, but when ordered through offer the boxes were half. It’s a cheat and deception. When I called to complained, I was told to complaint to JustEat instead, which I did and still awaiting their response.

Absolutely disappointed, do not trust their offer. We ordered 4 donor boxes with chips, which was 50% off. However they just split one into two boxes. We literally had less than half in each boxes. Complete rip off. Don't waste money!!!

Had better kebabs elsewhere and didn't cost as much. GBK is a bit like a kebab version of McDonald's.

This is the second time we found hair on food. Ordered large GDK meal for 2. Its funny how the staff acted normal as this happens all the time. Didn't even apologised. I was going to post a picture I took but don't want to make anyone feel sick.

I tried the donner wrap, but it was overloaded with red cabbage. The taste of red cabbage dominates the whole wrap. So everything should be in modration.

Overpriced for miniscule portions of unremarkable food. Clean premise and food is edible but that's it. I've no idea why they describe the place as German; essentially, the donor kebab meat is a poorer version of what you'd get from a street van. Also the food boxes are poorly presented.

I’d say the best food is the Doner Krunch Burger because it was very filling and in just four bites I already felt full and everything was coming into my mouth like heaven. The service wasn’t bad at all since the food arrived quickly. The only bad thing was that one lady sat down on the seat I was supposed to sit on first and she ran to the seat and stole it and that’s not really the restaurants’ fault because of greediness of some people. The walls were a nice thing to be surrounding by because the artwork was sensational. Recommend this place

Banging kebabs not greasy..clean n tasty

German doner kebab as a chain in general just doesn't disappoint and this one is not different. Good food at good price points. Staff are always nice and helpful, i like the table service. AMAZING sauces! especially the homemade garlic sauce!! pretty low calorie for a kebab as well which is always a bonus. I'm aware that GDK have had quite a lot of backlash from people claiming they were served raw chicken but honestly never had this issue.

It used to be better before when it opened like food and all were good but now u just eat and not like that much

Absolutely disgusting, never had so much grease, my whole hand was covered in oil. You can see from the picture the proof. I've never seen so much oil ever, even the chicken and beef was dry and crunchy and over cooked. I feel ill just writing this.

Avoid, food full of feathers , don't buy chicken. After I made complaint they call me to offer a refund but when I go to the shop, they refused to know about the complaint even if I show them pictures. Disgusting 🫣

Very good kebap, but when ordering for delivery, the portion is half the size. It is a shame as it is not cheaper when ordering online, we pay delivery and service charge and get half portion. It isn’t fair. And no sauces

Ordered two boxes oo chicken/fries and really disappointed when came back home and opened the boxes. Completely under cooked and cold . Tried to ring the shop but no one picked up and message says voicemail is full . Order number was 126 in case . Simply ridiclous and bad experience.

We ordered two boss boxes on deliveroo and only one arrived. We sent the one back so both could be delivered together, however the restaurant did not answer the phone despite numerous calls. Ended up cancelling the order which we had already waited an hour for, after being told it would be delivered within 20 mins.

Quality of food is not the same

Took over an hour tobartube but it is Friday night so wasn't a problem but the food arrived cold and wasn't brought in a proper bag to keep warm. Chips were soggy and horrible texture due to cold. My meal was tiny portion. Partners was ok. Tried calling restaurant but no answer and saying voice mail full. Never got to speak to anyone after the multiple times I have called. Will be popping in to talk to them tomorrow after I finish work as a nearly £30 takeaway for 2 is not acceptable.

Ordered Doner and chips with salad. Arrived on time but absolutely cold and no salad. Have rang them about five times but no answer and mail box is full. Really disappointed as use them regularly.

Used Just eat app. Food arrived 20 mins after they said it did on the ticket. Half of it was missing, the donner kebab was over cooked and hard. The other kebab was cold . Not good at all. Couldnt contact them directly Wont be going back

The food was great and so were the staff. it was my first time going to the restaurant and i didn’t know what to order and one of the lovely members of staff, made some recommendations and i ended up loving what he recommended . The seating arrangements is also quite good.

Best Dönner I've had in the UK so far. Only thing to note is that collection should be avoided. They work quick so it's better to order at the counter for take away. When I ordered for collection they made it too early so the food was cold. The fries were wrong. The drink was also wrong.

I'm soo angry. All the time the saim. We order extra 18 sauces. And no one we get and we pay 5 f for sauces ! Also whenever I ask for extra salad them not give me totally salad insaid. Who is working there ????? Never again order on uber eats. Lost only money!!!! This is joke no resteurant!!!!

Hi all, To bad that you can't go in minus with the stars. My order was completely rubbish. I ordered few kebabs and they where not marked what is what, so when I digged through them I found out that additional ingredients was not added, hot sauce was just on the end, so when you are eating it is not spicy at all, but on the end is just to much of heat. Kebabs was completely cold and bread chewie. I ordered mixed beef and chicken kebabs, beef Doner meat was normal but chicken was not even Doner, instead Doner chicken meat they add just some random chopped chicken meat. After my order I tried to call them to let them know what I received, but simply is not possible to get them on the phone. I just know that I will not support theirs business any more and I suggest to you same if you want eatable food. I love Doner kebabs but this is just embarrassment to Doner.

The kebab was fantastic as it usually had been here. My requests to add or remove ingredients were followed perfectly though the drink I had ordered online wasn't available but there was an alternative of equivalent value that I was happy with. The kebab was served on time. One negative experience I had in the past was getting a cold kebab via delivery and having been in the outlet showed why: there was a shelf stacked with orders awaiting collection by the drivers. One would think orders could be fulfilled and timed so that they're not going cold on a shelf.

This place sure does bring back memories. Living in Holland ... Used to eat alot of doner at donerland. Even though that was a Dutch chain, the food at German Doner is very similar in taste and quality. Loved it. Don't ever change the quality and taste guys. Awesome. Update.... Second time. Was a very bad bad experience. Delivery took under 30 mins but food arrived stone cold. And probably was the cause to an upset stomach following morning.

If you go into the shop expect decent service. If you order through deliveroo expect to be robbed. I have weighed both their large and regular kebabs after questioning if there is a difference there was literally 15 grams between the two. I don't think 15 grams is worth a £2 large upgrade. Honestly someone should open a case against this branch I've spoken to alot of people with the same opinion. Also lahmacun coming like a soggy pizza sheesh

Ordered delivery tonight as I had the German Donner itch. I used to be a regular customer at the Ilford branch this time last year, but after a change in jobs I was no longer in London. I'm working in Luton currently so had to satisfy the craving only to find its no where near as good as Ilford GDK. Rather disappointing that it wasn't up to the same standards. This one just seems far more greasy and the bread was too doughy and hardly toasted, didnt have a crunch to it at all. I used a voucher but if I was paying full price I'd feel ripped off! Looking for recommendations for a better kebab in Luton. The delivery driver was spot on though!
