The best restaurants serving Fast food food in East of England

Waited about 20 minutes to get a portion of fish and chips this evening. I've recently moved back to the area having lived in Brundall as a teenager. The fish and chips here used to be excellent. I'm guessing it's changed hands as the shop looked dilapidated, signs for cash only everywhere which just looked tacky and crass and after the long wait the fish was burned, as in the batter was black on the outside, I've never seen that before in my life. I even worked in a chippy for years as a teenager and never once saw burnt batter. That's my first and last trip in a long time I think.

Very bad do not recommend. I found a egg shell in my noodles. The staff were rude especially the kid with glasses who was around the age of 14- 16 and served me. I requested for another meal but instead they were very rude and horrible to my 84 year old grandma. I will never be returning ever again.

Just wanted to make people aware.. we don’t normally order from riverside chip shop but did as a last minute quick thing due to the kids come home late. Anyway the delivery driver tried my door handle when he delivered! Rang the shop and I told the gentleman on the phone to be met with ok? And oh right sorry about that and didn’t seem interested whatsoever! Luckily my partner was here as he ran to the door! Just wanted to make people aware of this!

Yet again ordered from uber eats and this place can’t get it right. Told me to reorder - do pay deliver again to correct their mistake. Utter incompetence and it’s the last time I order from this place. Spoke to the manager who wasn’t helpful, even overheard the staff member admit she hadn’t put my item in my order. A disgrace.

Jess and her staff provide substantial and enjoyable dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. A treat at all times in a street full of choices.

Have eaten fish and chips from My Plaice for a few years and recommended them to friends and family. However the last few times we and others have been disappointed with the chips. They are not being cooked well and are limp and soggy. The potatoes could be the reason but the chips look very pale.

The food has gone down hill at don and bun recently. Having been going since it arrived in Harlow. It a shame that standards have slipped over the past couple of months.

Village Mangal used to be amazing food and amazing value for money. Went on line to order last week and all prices seem 35% more than before Christmas. Such a shame to open under new management and whack prices up on day one. So I ordered from another local kebab place and it was amazing. I will try the new restaurant and hopefully food worth the extra money. I just like to get value for money. I understand stay up costs high but get customers first then gradually increase prices and not increase on day one.

Just a regular wether spoon exactly what you expect

I am glad it was delivered early. Delivery person was friendly, possibly because I added a tip when I ordered. I am glad I ordered extra bacon, cheese and hash brown as without them it wouldn’t have been filling.

waited 1 hour 45 minutes for my order to be delivered , this place is a joke

Ordered a pizza on Saturday night, I went to go and collect but I had a call from the owner to say the pizza oven had broke. I asked for a refund, to be told I had to wait as they needed to request it through the website. As i was nearly at the shop when I got the call, I still went in the shop to ask about the refund. The owner said I would have it by Monday, today is Wednesday and still no news on my refund. I have messaged the owner every night, I have had no reply to what's happening! Poor customer service and I as the customer is out of pocket. ****** AVOID THIS PLACE ******
