Pret a Manger in Watford

I come here on a regular basis, I'm sad to say I but my drink and food, but sadly now there is a massive increase in people eating there, own food . Even to say they are bringing there own , knife & fork & China Plate sometimes its a table of 2 , I even seen 6 people . Staff seem to walk past and say nothing? I'm sure this is not good for prets taking s, and profit. And not fair on customers like myself who pay in full. Needs to be looked at ASAP.

We have been regular customers for over a decade. When we visited today, the two upstairs toilets were still out of use for several months. I had to visited the ground floor toilet several times as it was occupied. When I finally got in the conditions were disgraceful. The notice in the two upstairs toilet still states “ toilets out of order. Cross your fingers and your legs!!!!” Please less of the very misplaced humour and more attention to returning pret at Watford to the cosy, friendly and HYGIENIC environment we all appreciate !

Went in today to find the posh cheddar pickle competing with prices from Harrods. In 2020 this sandwich was £3.45 then after lockdown £3.95 but now £4.50. add on the eat in robdog uplift and it is eye watering. Has Dick Turpin been in town? I wouldn't care so much if the service was good and the fillings were full but there has certainly been some cutting back on quality. I opted for a ham and cheese toastie and my colleague a meatball wrap which were not affected as much by the price hikes......or at least that was the illusion. Thin and uninspiring is how I would describe it. That is me finished with this place. Others do it cheaper and better. Shysters

Been coming for over 5 years. Yet again they have run out of hot chocolate. Had to go to Nero for a hot chocolate. This happens all too frequently. Often they run out of pasties. None of staff seems to be responsible responsible for forward planning and ensure adequate stocks. Happened pre COVID and current shortage of HGV Drivers which are reasonable explanations

Pret A Manager normally do the best coffees (latte in my case), I never go anywhere else. I used to get my latte everyday when i commuted into London. Due to lockdown I’ve not had a latte from pret a manager since March, so today I decided to treat myself. I went to my local one in Watford (never been before) and was sooo disappointed with the quality. When I opened the lid I knew straight away that it wasn’t prepared correctly. It looked flat ( no froth), so it tasted weak and flat. It was not the creamy coffee I remembered it to be. I’m going to continue to make my own coffees at home as they tasted better. Such a shame as I loved their coffees. I did try to explain my disappointment to the staff, but they were not interested.

Whenever that short chubby guy is on the till there's always a cue and confusion, went today and cue was outside the door. Also never enough hot vegaterian food, mushroom and omlete burger always run out, and only bacon left. Not good experience for me

Good variety of sandwiches and food. Long queues. Friendly staff but watch you receipts and how much you are charges. Often you overpriced or short changed .

When I popped in this afternoon there were two cookies on offer - one 'chocolate chunk' and one almond butter. I ordered the almond butter and the chap decided to give me chocolate chunk. I questioned him as he went to put it in the bag and he assured me he had picked up the right one? I took his word for it as he works there. So I've just got home, eaten it and although it was very good, it was most definitely chocolate chunk. He either wanted the almond butter for himself, or is delusional. Not impressed.

I went for a coffe to take out I just ordered 3 cappucino,i mentioned small cappucino,one of the staff girl was blond i remember was joking with one other guy saying make sure small cappucino. I didnt know that you do only one size coffes,but you shouldnt joke with customers.

I’ve eaten in a large number of Prets both in the UK and US. This one never fails to disappoint due to its very limited choice of sandwiches. My husband and I really want to eat here more often and frequently go it to check it out but most of the time leave disappointed. It’s such a shame as we do enjoy many of the sandwich fillings to be had in other Prets.

It was warm friendly and the soup in a carton tasted very good. At about £4.00 it represented good value for money. The coffee was full favoured and hot. The floor like the table surface was clean and tidy.

Sandwiches are delicious but a bit pricey. Staff friendly and plenty of seating (although still full on occasions)

Often use this place for a drink and snack after shopping. Food and drink always usually good, only had one minor issue with a dressing being lumpy, staff told us the get a new meal. We us it regularly so they must be doing something right!

it is open early in the morning. you can grab your sandwich and coffee for a quick breakfast. all are frresh and tasty. it is a chain and you find it all over london.

One of the first coffee houses to produce snacks for vegans and seem to lead the way in freshly prepared food for vegetarians.

Had lunch here and usually have a salad and bread roll, but no bread rolls and tasteless flat bread instead (I tried my husbands). I had a sandwich instead which was very nice..... but what happened to the delicious bread rolls??? Bring them back Pret!

We wanted to have something to bite with a good cup of good coffee. This Pret a Manger totally met our expectations. Nice selection for healthier options for small eats.

for the style of eatery the drinks are cheap, the food is healthy and well priced service good, a good place to sit and people watch

There were queues at the counter this freezing cold lunchtime in the grip of an unseasonal cold snap at the start of what was supposed to be spring. A crayfish sandwich and tub of tomato soup together with a double espresso coming in with change from a tenner rather hit the spot. A refuge from the elements with dining on two floors. Staff were quick and efficient.

Came here almost every day for a week during my holiday in the area. Enjoyed a hoisin duck wrap and hot chocolate each time. With a lot of chain cafes there’s a hit-and-miss sort of standard where the quality depends on the day, and the barista, etc, but I was stunned to find out that every single visit lived entirely up to the standard of before. Love it.

I like to stop here to take away an Americano or double espresso. Service is quick and friendly. Pastries good too.

I went to Pret a lot of times before, and particularity enjoyed the salads, and the soups on offer. I visited with my family. The interior design is meticulous and the fun food pictures are hung around the restaurant. The staff are the kindest and are there to grant your every request. In the mornings, their speciality is perfect porridge with honey. In the afternoons, they serve super soups and salad. I really recommend Pret A Manger, for a quick, no-wait, fresh meal.

Nice clean shop with lots of vegan choices.Also serves regular food. Great location. Good prompt service.

We enjoyed our lunch here, here we're a number of things to eat for those of us with food intolerance. The staff were extremely efficient but friendly with it.

I tried the new ham hock macaroni cheese. It was filling and piping hot my only preference is i would rather just cheese on top instead of breadcrumbs. Please bring back the steak macaroni with cheese it was amazing.

Like this branch and find the staff cheerful sadly the actual manager is miserable and feels she has to force herself to smile at customers.

Had lunch here on a busy Saturday lunch time. The food was excellent quality as always. We were still able to get a seat even though it was busy. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Disappointed really. I rarely go into Pret and to be honest I won't be rushing back. The tables weren't clean and the one I sat at was not only covered in salt but was wobbly. The staff looked miserable but were polite - well they said please and thank you. On the plus side the food (tuna and egg salad) was nice. Sorry, but unfortunately it was nothing special.

Grabbed breakfast as staying at local hotel. Pret much preferred to hotel fare. Lots of seating behind the bar. A bit disorganised to start with but pulled it all together. Good example of a nice pret.

One thing I expect of a chain/franchise is consistency.Pret really do pull this off quite well.Both the food and the coffee is consistent and of good taste.The staff are always pleasant and polite. Good food + good customer service go a long way.

During our visit in Watford we had breakfast there. A clean place with average quality and reasonable prices.

I arrived quite late in the afternoon, but there was still quite a good selection of well-wrapped sandwiches which were very fresh. There were plenty of tables to choose from and the shop was spotlessly clean. Staff were polite. The toilets were nice and clean also.

The staff in the Watford pret are so amazing. Friendly and happy and so helpful - it's not An easy job but they are so Amazing.

The service wasn't that good but what we had was average however I went to the Gents and the smell was appalling as the fans were not serviceable and working. In s restaurant area one the first floor. DISGUSTING

Never was disappointed about Pret. They always have high quality and fresh food, what I like the most is that they prepare the sandwiches in the same day.The staff is very friendly, floor always clean.

Visited on my lunch break with my sister. I am never disappointed with Pret. I had the chicken soup with no cream and a fruit salad really enjoyed it.

Coffee, yoghurt and croissant for breakfast. I like Pret, always good quality food and nice coffee. Best when on the go rather than sitting in

Yes it's a Pret and yes it's just a quick cheap meal but the staff are always friendly, the food is always fresh and tasty, the coffee is good. There's somewhere quiet to sit upstairs if downstairs is full. There are many alternative quick eating places nearby but this has been comfortable and reliable on several occasions so I head for it if in the area.

Pret has become a "go-to" for a quick breakfast or lunch when in England. The food is healthy and freshly prepared.

Pret on Watford high st, is ideally located for lunch or a meeting & coffee. The place is always clean and well presented, the staff are fantastic, always pleasant and welcoming. The food is the usual high stand you'd expect from Pret for lunch.

Nice spacious pret, good variety of food which made it hard to choose what I wanted for lunch! Staff very friendly and helpful and were attentive.

It a very famous chain of restaurants in the UK. I ate a sandwich and a Coke for £3. It's a very good option for eating something simple and if U are short of time.I recommend it!

Had been staying in Watford overnight and decided to use Pret a Manager for breakfast. They do a lovely porridge but the croissants are also very nice with a coffee.

I really appreciate and try to support organic places. Our of anything fast food places Pret is where I to first. However, it's not more often than once a month as menu is always the same. Even organic fast food can be tiring. Service is always nice.

I always visit this shop, when in Watford. They have a good range of healthy sandwiches, salads and juices, at reasonable prices.

Great location, friendly staff. Beatifully cooked food, always served with a smile, and the cost isn't bad either. LOVE the Flat white coffee here

Got a chance to have breakfast once. Had haloumi burger, falafel and other veggie associates. The taste and quality was very nice.

Have sat both upstairs and downstairs here for coffee and lunch.A very welcoming and comfortable establishment for all ages.Food and drinks are always served up in a respectable and well thought through manner.Seriously under rated to me.Well worth making time for...
