Costa Coffee in Watford

Me and my friend came in to get lunch. We both ordered a tuna melt panini and left with the sh*ts. Been sh*tting for days. Not happy!!

Visited for a quick coffee during shopping. Absolutely shocked to see the lack of masks being worn by the staff! Government guidelines are quite evidently not being implemented which is very disappointing as you would expect hygiene levels to be of a high standard within hospitality given the current COVID circumstances!

Today five of us visited costa for a family outing. One of those five members was my two year old child. When inside I was walking over to my mother who was seated carrying my child and the lady working barged straight past with no apology, I took this on the chin. However when ordering we had said seating in and before we even had chance to say anything the lady began making our drinks. My sister then informed her we would like take away cups (this being cos of COVID at the moment we felt safer) at which point she sighed audibly and slammed the cup down on the side. I have never been faced with such a stinking attitude in a store and for this exact reason I chose to leave the establishment and will no longer be visiting your stores. As this is a customer facing job it is part and parcel to make the customer happy, I saw little hardship in pouring the syrup that was in the glass into a take away cup and shoving the glass in the dishwasher. When I commented on the attitude to the man behind the till there was not even a mutter of an apology.

I went to get a Strawberry Infusion today, however the barista was quite rude. She gave me the wrong drink , which in itself is understandable as mistakes can happen however she the proceeded to raise her voice at me when I asked if what she was making was correct. She then insisted I try the drink she was making me instead of what I wanted. I felt a bit intimidated so I took the drink and left. I was very disappointed.

I went into the costa today and asked for a caramel frosty, they made me a latte I told them that wasn’t what I ordered and they started to very rude to me when I asked them to change it, the woman was horrible and made me feel horrible. After they gave me my drink I took a sip and it tasted completely off. I’ve never had such a bad experience with them !

I often come in here after finishing work. Although it’s busy, it’s easy to unwind and watch their world go by. Staff are always friendly too. Special mention to Nicoly the manager (I think) who is always polite and welcoming whichever branch she’s working in. I also like their flavoured drinks, especially when new lines come in.

I been coming to this costa for long time ever since they emplyed this lady Nikoly she is very rude and horrible costumer service and plus she is very negative to any of the costumers that she dont like.

Took 15 minutes from walking in the door to actually receiving the right drink. The queue wasn’t very long but despite there being three people behind the counter the one taking orders seemed to be going off and making them too. Asked for a seasonal latte to be made with almond milk. Twice I said almond milk as it was clear she wasn’t listening. They presented me my drink complete with whole milk and cream - they didn’t ask if I wanted cream. They did remake it, however this took even more time. perhaps some review of the training given in Costa as they are slow, often falling over each other and interfering with jobs half done by someone else. It’s not just this costa either. And they STILL don’t have any gluten-free lunch offerings other than a flapjack. It’s always really busy in here though, so maybe they do something right, or perhaps it’s luck with location

Long queues, untidy and looks dirty as few staff and many people. Not keen to go there as does not feel like a regular costa coffee.

Went into Watford Hight Street Costa and as I started my order, the lady interrupted straight away and guilt tripped me into buying a reusable cup. You get your coffee free if you buy one so she gave a coffee and a white chocolate free but I had to pay for the tea and cup. Then she said "you should definitely use that cup!" For £15, I'm going to! Then once the drinks were made I noticed that the white hot chocolate looked exactly like a normal hot chocolate! Seems her main interest was getting the cup sold rather than listening to her customer's order. Still the drinks were nice

Below Par Costa I popped in here to relax over a coffee after an unsuccessful shopping trip. One issue I have in many branches of Costa and other coffee chains is that do not work as a team but resemble a set of disjoint individuals! So, it was here. Despite there seeming to be enough staff service was very slow. The coffee was up to scratch but the overall impression was not good with uncleared tables and a floor in need of sweeping.

I literally just went in to buy a coffee and a chocolate crossaint. My order was processed and I paid. The then gives me the bag with my order and i said ohh sorry i ordered a chocolate one. She then grit her teeth at me and showed such aggravation when i politely said sorry this is wrong. She said oh well they are called 'twists' and moves to the till to charge me extra. But I was so offended by her attiude I said it was fine I would just take the one she gave me. From then onwards I felt as if all of the staff went very funny with me. Very rude customer service. The crossaint was stale. and cold regardless. I did not take the name of the lady serving but she was young and had ginger hair. Will stick to Pret!!!!

Everytime I go to Costa I enjoy everything coffee sandwiches staff is nice and this Costa Coffee i like to drink my late while im seated at a table near the window watch the crowd and sometimes to do some work.

I normally just go for the simple latte at costa which is fine but on this visit I thought why not try the Christmas special and went for the hazelnut praline and cream latte. After ordering it, got informed there is no cream arrgghh why charge me full price if 1 of the key ingredients is missing and to be honest the latte itself was tasteless, just didn't give me the warmth I was expecting when having a coffee on a chilly morning. However the Christmas cups are cute.

Absolutely awful filthy nothing had been cleaned what seems to be like a year chairs covered in food as for toilets Disgusting

Went here today for the first time my friend being a costa coffee fan , lovely coffee and a relaxing half an hour

I needed to have a hot drink, so I choose costa hot Chocolat witch wad very good. But if u want an hide or quiet table you can’t find here.

After enjoying sometime with family on the watford big skate ice rink we stopped in here for a hot chocolate. We had just over half an hour before closing time. We order straight away as we knew what we all wanted. The staff seemed in a rush to get home and got our order wrong, we were then given take away cups because they didn’t want to wash us again. We were not the only customers in there. The floor under our table was disgusting, maybe they should be cleaning during the day too. We purchased a biscuit for our son sat down then was called up again as the transaction hadn’t worked. Then we were asked to leave ten minutes before closing. I’m sure that the staff must be paid at least ten minutes after the shop closes to lock up. I understand it was late but that doesn’t mean the service should differ.

Where is the logic to turn on the air con when the temperature is already 14-15 degrees? Do you think is an attractive view to see people wearing their jackets indoor?

Intu mientras disfruta" Comercial "Watford, vi un Costa Café en la planta baja. Era el momento adecuado para el café, y un aperitivo. Pedí el Mozzarella y tostado en una Focaccia Pan verduras y un capuchino. Fue agradable y sabroso y yo pudimos descansar un rato, antes de continuar de compras.

Can get busy when the shopping centre is busy, but Costa is Costa - nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Just what I expected and got what I wanted!

We were visiting the area after many years (we used to live in Watford) and of course these coffee houses are everywhere these days, so we weren't that surprised to see one on Watford High Street. We did welcome a sit-down and some of their excellent coffee and tea! Comfortable seating with efficient staff and clean toilets!

Went to the High Street Costa. Tables and chairs all over the place and too tight to sit comfortably. Coffee order was not fulfilled and the replacement coffee was warm slop. Will never go to this Costa again and went to a Nero today in Gerrards Cross- superb taste, hot and lovely service.

......why people crave for conveyor belt café's of this nature is bewildering when there's' so many independent coffee bars around that are better value serving much better coffee.When the Costa's, Nero's & Starbuck's of the world slammed dunked into the UK we all went cuckoo with this amazing new way to drink coffee and the variety yep cannot deny is extensive however there expensive and I really think there food is crap and since they all started the coffee has deteriorated.There are much better places to grab a cup of coffee that use really good grade coffee beans some of these places I've already written reviews about some are even cheaper and the foods better.My friends know that I won't go to any one of the above mentioned café's fortunately they also have good taste and prefer better coffee places.Although one of the drop box's ask's my last visit and won't let me go beyond Aug 2015 so I've had to enter that date the last time I was at Costa was in 2014.

Typical Costa - food and coffee (and tea!) good. Service friendly and efficient. Seating plentiful and comfy. Close to main shops. What more could anyone want from a coffee house?

When my wife and I travel to Watford town centre we invariably have coffee and a snack somewhere, and we tend to try different places. We have visited Costa Coffee on a number of occasions, but we tend to avoid it these days, because we have never found it very clean. We think that places like this should be kept clean despite being very busy.

The coffee and all the other kind of hot drinks are really good and the service very fast! And then it's in the centre of the town!

Popped in for a hot chocolate, was served in no time and was lots of seats even when busy. average pirced.

Tired feet from following the family around doing Christmas shopping, so decided a relaxing Costa coffee was needed.This place was just the job, with friendly staff, new specialty coffees for the festive season and the cakes/pastries were so delicious and moorish.Worth the visit.

They have a new blend of coffee!! Which IS quite nice.... They forget to tell you it's 20p more. Be aware when they ask at the till.

Dopo il mio ritorno da Londra voglio recensire questo bel bar in franchising "COSTA" situato fuori Londra a Watford dove alloggiavo. Il bar si trova appena usciti dalla metro, si nota subito per la grande scritta all'esterno, appena entrati si può notare il buon gusto dell'arredamento tutto di colore scuro e bordeaux ma molto raffinato, grande locale con sala interna dove è possibile consumare in tranquillità, c'è pure la possibilità di pagare con il bancomat anche piccole somme.. sotto il bancone a vista si può trovare molta varietà di dolci come cupcake di vari tipi, torte ecc. per una buona colazione, in alto si può notare una grande lavagna con scritto tutte le bevande che si possono consumare. consiglio i Cupcake al Cioccolato e un bicchieri di cioccolata con panna. i costi della colazione sono più alti dell'Italia diciamo nella media londinese..

costa coffee is good coffee but they have really bad service the staff is bad they don't care about castomers .

Had to finally do a review of this Costa in Watford(opposite entrance to The Harlequin/ InTu) which used to be a Barclay bank unit back in the day!Apart from the fact it's situated in a lovely old style building - which saved it from being demolished, it is our favourite Costa around.Always clean, productive, friendly.With good service and nice hot coffee & food.The staff are always helpful & attentive , especially the Manager who seems to go the extra bit tooSo if you are partial to a Costa as a treat & want the best - here's the place to visit!

Quando ia a londres para treinamento da empresa que eu trabalhava, eu ficava em watford, o cafe no Costa Coffe é simplesmente sensacional, não dá vontade de parar, um mais gostoso que o outro, o local disponibiliza wifi, um ótimo e espaçoso local com mesas para tomar seu cafe e lanche tranquilamente. O atendimento também é muito bom
