As someone else commented I’m not sure what all the amazing reviews are based on. Chips were scrappy and fish chewy and greasy with everything covered in black specks indicative of being cooked in old oil. As for friendly staff- the young dark haired man who served us was thoroughly miserable and acted like everything was too much trouble and didn’t want to be there!

I was welcome by two polite young gentleman and placed my order, but what I wanted wasn't what I got, I ordered a chicken donner wrap and got given just a box of neat with chips and salad not sure if the man misunderstood me, but not exactly the best first experience from this restaurant and I've heard a lot of good things about it, the food was good but like I said I expected a wrap for the price of £10

Stopped here for lunch- sandwiches were good- toasted Reuben with spicy tortillas with Pineapple drink was odd- tasted like ginger! With a overpriced cookie. Near a Costa so options for sandwiches and coffee!

When to the wimpy in Loughton today 18.02.2024. 2 of us arrived at 10.05 only to find it still closed, not a problem as we was waiting for every one of our party to arrive. At 10.10 the front door opened and the staff member came out and was so rude she told us that we would have to wait until she was ready and to go somewhere else as there are plenty of other places to go. The rest of our party arrived 8 in total we explained that the wimpy staff member had been so rude so we went to a cafe in Debden and we all had a breakfast. If the wimpy can loose this amount of money good luck to them, as not one of us will go there again. Shame really as this reflects on all the staff. We are asked to support local shops so we will but not the wimpy in Loughton.

Wot do you actually sell for a £ absolutely diabolical while in town carefully spending my universal credit I fancied a pound bakery pastie as I ordered a cheese and onion slice I was so shocked to hear it was £1.70 I had to steady myself my legs went to jelly I'm sorry but thus is clearly out of my price
