Gabriel's in Birmingham

We have been to Gabriel's a few times, always good food, never had any problems. We ordered tonight in store and had a lovely conversation with the lady there, probably causing her to forget to put my wrap in the bag, which was on top of the heated area. After walking home and finding no wrap, I phoned even though it said they were now closed and a gentleman must have answered as I hung up. He phoned me straight back, saying we are so glad you called, we were hoping you would... What's your address and we'll deliver it for you right now. Absolutely fantastic service and such lovely people. Thank you so much again!

Always have an amazing meal here highly recommend honestly, you can’t get a better fish and chip shop. The staff are so friendly. The shop is very clean just a delightful place to go.

Just wanted to say how lovely Gabriel was getting a food order out to my elderly mum who’s home alone. It was very very kind of you to be so flexible. The food is always so good, it’s always freshly cooked and hot so every time I visit my parents from Essex I have my favourite fish & chips. Service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed I promise ❤️

I’ve been going with my mates for a while since I was about 14 and now I’m 15 and it’s better than ever. After the gym I usually go there with a few mates to grab some food to eat and I’ve got to say the food is fantastic and the staff are so wonderful it’s unreal, I highly recommend you go. They are always caring and respectful. The food is always great and fresh.

Terrible… fish tasted and looked how I imagine a greasy slipper would look and taste.. Harborne chippy is just round corner, which is always quality!! Came here only because Harborne chippy was closed New Year’s Eve. Never again. Would give a zero if i could!!

The food here is just great. So good, that it’s almost a staple for the weekends. Pizza is very tasty, and the chips are great. The people are very kind and the atmosphere when you are ordering is great. Definitely recommend.

An absolute disgrace , no customer courtesy, left standing with my p...k in my hand for about 10 mins without being acknowledged by these fucwits . A regular user of this chip shop no more . Bought food here several times and it has become a family fave and tradition. My favourite is spinach prawn pizza as well as fish and chips, it is served with lemon and tartar sauce in a very nice box. Staff are very friendly and professional. I tried other fish and chips shop nearby to our house, but wasn't satisfied.

We have been using this chippy recently and to be fair the food has been good. Today, however, my wife phoned to order mixed kebab meat amongst other things. When asked if she wanted salad, she requested the salad to be wrapped separately as it wilts if it is packed with the hot meat while waiting to be delivered. The man on the phone refused to do it. My wife explained that it has never been a problem before but he said they were too busy on a Saturday night to be able to wrap the salad separately. Obviously we helped the tired and weary staff by cancelling the order but it is such a shame as we have had decent food from here previously and have recommended them to others. There are plenty of good takeaways in the local area so we will use them from now on as we have done this evening. Never mind!

Had a delivery tonight I recommended Gabriel’s to friends how embarrassing the chips were dry and hard couldn’t eat them. The fish was so greasy yuk will not go there again

Not at all happy with the wait. I run a food service business. And I would have been so upset if my customer had to wait this long for fast food. No apology although you have to order and then wait outside. To bothered about online orders. Very unhappy customer.

Myself and my husband are out of the area and staying at the QE hospital relatives wing. We decided to go for a walk for so chips and walked to Gabriel's. We arrived to pay with card to be told it was cash payment only. We said we didnt have cash, the kind gentleman behind the counter said dont worry pay next time you are in. Such a very kind gesture. We did ho to the nearest cash point to get cash. I would like to say the best customer service every. Once again thank you.
