Meraz Tandoori and Balti Indian Takeaway in Wellingborough

We ordered here as we were struggling to find an Indian restaurant, and this place was a saviour! Cash or card, free delivery, lovely buttery naans, and I cannot forget the lovely chicken biryani. I do recommend.

I have used this takeaway various times and is generally good, today it went straight in the Bin, chicken korma looked congealed and tasted burnt it was absolutely awful, the popadoms were not fresh and the onion bhaji was over cooked, the onions that accompanied them were soft and obviously not fresh. What a waste of money Very disappointed indeed

Simply the best Indian delivery. Fresh and outstanding for Bangladeshi cuisine. Up there with the Tamarind and the Saffron restaurants.

My family and I have been eating takeaway food from here for 20 years, it has always been a staple in our household. It is the best Indian food we have ever had and why we always come back. To this day, having had Indian food across the U.K , the Meraz is always the best.

Had a delivery last night in Wilby for first time. Food was fantastic. Potatoe side dish best we've ever had. Definately ordering again.

This is our Thursday night regular, we have tasted many different places, but we always come back to the Meraz, food is away great, service is great, and it's a great price.

Special biryani was really great including sundries. Delivery a little slow at 45 mins. Definitely will order again.

I'm a regular and I've never had a bad meal, food is always hot and always delicious, good value for money and always arrives within 30-45 minutes.

UDATE - JANUARY 2022. Still using this awesome Meraz Takeaway which continues to serve up THE most delicious dishes ever - IMHO - the best takeaway in town! My family has been enjoying takeaways from Meraz since, I believe, about 1987 - the food has always been the best. I'm considering moving to Earls Barton just to be nearer them!

Just stuffed my face! I was told 40 minutes delivery time, at my door at 44 minutes, food hot and plentiful, well worth it, now looking at an empty plate but satisfied. Order with confidence.

I really like the food from this place. Sometimes you have to wait, but they are cooking it fresh, which is why it tastes so good. I have previously had trouble paying by card, older guy doesn't like cards, but during pandemic, this seems to have stopped.

I live in Earls Barton, After not receiving my simple order of a chicken rap, it has now been an hour and 10 minutes so I rang up and said there’s no excuse, it’s not like I live 10 miles down the road, he said okay I said I won’t use them again and then hang up the phone. Nice and simple but what sort of customer service is that no apology or desire to put it right, I really won’t use them again and would not recommend

Exceptional curries, the Korzi lamb special is as good as I have ever had. I do love a Meraz and have never been tempted away!!

We are a family of keyworkers we do not often have a Saturday night off all together. However yesterday we did, so thought for a nice treat we would get a takeaway. We ordered our meal and about an hour and a half later it arrived. We had Pakora starters, onion Bhaji and for the mains we had two Butter Chickens and one Prawn Korma, two Nan breads and a portion of rice. The Pakoras were dry and tasteless and cold and felt like maybe they were cooked the night before. The Onion Bhaji’s were nice (Cannot really go wrong with this). They had also put One poppadom in, which were very soggy when you cut into three (But this was a free, so glad I hadn’t paid for this as well). When it came to the mains, the two Butter Chickens dishes were bright Red, pillar box red and tasted revolting. They were both thrown away in the bin. The prawn Korma was ok, but the Nan breads were as dry as the Pakora!! So basically over 75% of the meal was inedible. My Husband rang them to let them know and they asked for his phone number as the manager would call him back……………………………………..We are still waiting for them to return the call. Therefore, I have decided to write this review. Do not waste your money ordering from the Meraz Tandoor Indian takeaway in Earls Barton. We had to order another takeaway from a different place. The whole meal cost us £36.00 and it would have been nice if the manager had the decency to ring my husband back, I know if this were my business I would. Very disappointing I will NEVER order form them again. Like I mentioned AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

I have been ordering from this takeaway for more than 30years, I have tried just about every takeaway and restaurant in Northampton and think this is the best, the cooking style is a little different from most around but has infinitely more flavour, I actually live about 10miles away now and regularly drive the extra to go here as if I order from anywhere else it never quite stacks up... the specials all come In the bigger trays great if you have a good appetite, my personal favourite if you can handle a medium/hot flavour is the Jallali a+

Have always ordered from meraz, but last night will be our last time. We had to wait 1 hour and 45 mins, they did explain they were busy, when arrived look liked it had been thrown into bag and had sat in there a while as was cold and the boxes had sunk into each other so food was everywhere and part of our order was missing, rang to complain and did receive another but still incomplete.

Five star review. What Indian restaurant can you walk into and say that you want something that's not on the menu and make it to your standards now Meraz Indian Takeaway succeeds in doing this.... They made me a curry hotter than a Phal Vindaloo with fresh green chillies and a very bespoke order they went out of there way and made it for me.... Even on a busy night. The staff are always happy and make you walk away with a smile on your face also. The size of the portions could be a little bigger for the price that your paying. But I suppose as its a small village it convenience rather than anything so they can charge what ever they want for good quality food. The menu is good and a lot to choose from For a disabled ♿ person they might find it hard to maneuver around the shop floor.

Ordered a takeaway once and was told an hour wait only for it to take two hours and was given £2 off the order. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered a few weeks later, over 2 hour wait again after ordering earlier than the time before at 6:15pm, still over a two hour wait! When you ring and ask where the food is you are just told ‘it’s on it’s way’ every time. Ridiculously long delivery time. They say ‘absolute maximum 1 and a half hours’ and give you an ‘absolute latest’ time which is just nowhere near the reality.

Great flavoured food and good value.Parking on the road can be a bit awkward but a short walk is OK. If not order a delivery.

1st time ordering and won't be the last excellent meal

Good food and plenty of it. The order was ready when they said it would be and was still hot when we got it home - they even gave us two extra side dishes. Nothing out of the ordinary but a good tasty meal at a reasonable price. Perfect for a Saturday night.

Fantastic Indian which delivers and offers a massive menu variety. Catering for various diets as well as traditional Indian sub continental dishes. Meal for two is the same value as it has been for over 15-20 years! Keep it up Meraz! This is THE Saturday night takeaway!

Disappointing this visit. Food appeared to be in smaller portions. It's not cheap for a takeaway but food is usually very tasty and cartons of food are full.

As a customer for 20 years I can report that every meal has been delicious, delivered promptly and the service has been impeccable. I like places that remember me by voice. I still travel some distance to have a Meraz curry and have tried other establishments but none have surpassed.

A brilliant family run takeaway that delivers free to Earls Barton. VFM on meal deals. In 24 years had very good food & service delivery & take away.

This curry shop is a gem. We have been going here for 30 years. The meat is fresh and of best quality, rare in a curry house. The spices are authentically split in the cooking pan fresh, you can see them in the dishes. There is an elderly gentleman and if he cooks your meal I defy you to say you have eaten better anywhere in England. No fine dinning twists, just curry with all the best herbs and spices not a paste. We have had New Years eve parties and the table has been full of this restaurants food. Perfect the palette can't lie. We have always been surprised it was not a restaurant. But the area's loss is our gain.

As I enjoyed all meals from this establishment I ordered a lamb curry and they sent me a chef special with prawns I am glad that I noticed them as I am highly elergic to this product and could have become extremely ill

I have been using the Meraz for over 20ys, and always find it to be very very good food 'Tasty'. As good as anywhere i have been. Also i have introduced friends to it and they too agree with me. Keep cooking Lads !!!

EXCELLENT I have never had to complain about this place. Ever. The food is consistently the best, which is not surprising considering the chef has won awards for being the best in the UK. Even when items are not on the menu they will endeavour to provide your meal requests and the deliveries are always at a good speed and the food and a good price.
