Beautiful chip and not greasy the cod was very nice too. Had the curry sauce and I have got to say it was the best curry sauce I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Brilliant! I have celiac disease, owners very informed and knowledgeable about celiacs and gluten free, separate frier etc. food was fabulous, great value for money, good portion size and closer to home, I will definitely be coming back! My partner had regular chips and fish cake, (non GF) he was equally as thrilled with his food! Thank you!

Happily surprised to find gluten free on the menu! The regular and gluten free fish was delicious, accompanied by great chips and tasty mushy peas!

Only things to improve is for the driver to have a heat sealed bag for delivery

Food was on time once dispatched but was about 90 minutes from ordering to delivery most of the food had cooled down by the time it arrived. Not sure if food packed when ordered or when delivery driver was at eatery so not sure where issue occurred as delivery time was changed several times before actually being delivered

I was there yesterday. I am delighted with the small place and excellent service. I ordered a large portion of fries and two fish. Everything is fresh and made on a regular basis. Perfect fries and great-tasting fish. It was my first time there and I will definitely go back. I highly recommend it.

To be fair, the original time frame was estimated but even so, was quite a long wait from ordering compared to other places. That being said.. Food was amazing. Chips not soggy and fish wrapped separately so it kept in tact. Big portions, fish was crispy and all had flavour. Curry sauce was particularly good. Only place to get gluten free fish and chips to takeaway and the gluten eaters enjoyed it too- would never have known the difference.

Batter on the fish was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfect! Very good portion sizes. Curry sauce smooth and thick. Would highly recommend 👌

Fish had zero taste batter thicker than the fish doughy in side undercooked haggis more batter than haggis gravy bland no seasoning will NEVER BE ORDERING AGAIN

Have used this chip shop for a long time and for me always a 10* rating. This meal however was not up to scratch, fish was different and the chips were not the same - so very gutted.

No salt or vinegar on the chips, so completely bland, and curry and and mushy peas terrible. A waste of £32

Chips were lush, onion rings are nice too, partner wasn't a fan of the battered sausage as it was more like a chicken ball batter.

Best fish & chips we have had for a long time. Rock N Roe really do have something to shout about; best gluten free food I have ever had - you wouldn’t believe it was gluten free! Really tasty, not greasy and huge portions at a great price. We will definitely be returning as regular customers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately my cod and chips tasted warmed up , which is very unusual for rock n roe , I accept at that time of day orders can be a few minutes late , won't stop me ordering again

This is one of my favourite chippys. Food is great value and the convos you get from the staff are very entertaining.

Disappointing quality for price

I loved coming here as so many gluten free options. Phoned recently and the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude and refused to tell me the price of my order as he ‘had too much to do’…as it’s cash only, I sort of need to know to get enough cash out. Will be reluctant to come back unfortunately but the food is great.

Food very greasy, batter of fish was stuck to the wrapping & couldnt get it off. Curry sauce was congealed into one heap & mushy peas were off.

Food just tasted dry and old but they where quick

The food was great. Just ordered 2x haddocks, received 2 different types of fish (perhaps haddock&cod). In general all good.

I have ordered from here before and the food been really good but this time Ordered 2 x cod and chips and have to say it was all really greasy and the chips soggy and horrible. Doubt I shall order again

Can honestly say for every order, we’ve not had a bad meal. Individual portion sizes are incredible. Fish is always fresh & the food is always very hot when received. Really do recommend Rock & Roe. Excellent 5 stars

Thought I’d try a delivery, as last time we went in the bloke was so rude! Food was cold, everything was full of grease, all batter and no fillings. Really horrible meal. Won’t be using again.

We used to order from here very regularly but they have got greedy with the prices so we will no longer be using these foods ni e but we'll over priced like £5 for chips and the pies and cod are expensive too such a shame.

Food was hot, fish was lovely and my kids loved the chicken nuggets, chips were nice just a shame they don't ask if you want salt and vinegar as I don't have vinegar in the house as I only use it for chippy chips but I would recommend and would definitely use again

We held a an event in Orlingbury Village Hall yesterday, for which we wanted to offer people a fish and chip supper. We tried six different establishments, until we approached Rock & Roe. They pulled out all the stops, and provided us with 103 fish suppers, including gluten-free, and vegetarian, In a timely manner, the food arriving just as our interval started. The food was hot, individually wrapped, and delicious. The 103 diners really appreciated the fish supper, and we had lots of very positive comments. It cannot have been easy for Ray, at Rock & Roe, to put together 103 fish suppers, and get them out to Orlingbury, hot, and in a timely fashion, but he and his staff did it. Ray and your team, you are ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!

Exceptionally friendly owners. Well stocked and good, quality fish and chips. Kam and Ray are a delight. Kam adds a authentic Asian twist to some of her menu items. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

Went on recommendation to have Gluten Free Fish and Chips. My god it was good, couldn't tell the battery was GF so tasty. They have a GF menu and do all there cooking in separate fryers. Ordered Iver the phone and it was waiting for me when I got there. Staff are very friendly too. Would definitely recommend.

Usually a real good chip shop, used it for years. This time we go and it's like the chips have just been re-heated a few times and are just to hard to eat. Literally only a hand full of chips are OK to eat. Really hope this is just a one off

We ordered food and we’re 5 minutes late collecting and the owner was rude and told us not to bother ordering again. Then continued to make nasty comments whilst paying and waiting for the food. Food was also not nice, would never go back again. Avoid at all costs.

Bought a cheese burger and got literally a bun, thin burger and a slice of cheese. No salad, no sauces, just a lifeless basic bun and patty for £2.80.

We visit mostly every Wednesday after football very welcoming great customer service and great food chips are awesome every time.

Tasteless burgers (bun+meat+cheese....nothing else)......everything is full of oil large portions but hard to eat. Probably with half of the money they buy oil for next order.

Our family really like this small and often seemingly quite chippy very clean and good hygiene rating, Never had any issues with our food always been delicious and happy. Also you can order from Uber eats. But collection is fast and efficient with very polite staff. Thanks Rock N Roe!

Really sorry to say this but the chippy was empty because the food is awful. I would not reccomend and will never use again...and now it makes sense why the owner practicaly begged me to come back....no way Jose!!!!

If you are Coeliac, Gluten intolerant or choose to avoid Gluten this is a fantastic choice, only the second Gluten Free chip shop found and certainly the best. The Gluten Free Fish, Chips and Curry Sauce were delicious.

We moved to Wellingborough just over a year ago and have tried a few of the other fish bars in the area. We 'stumbled'upon Rock and Roe and have never looked back! The food is delicious and the curry sauce is to die for! I did laugh reading the other negative reviews and can just imagine the owner chasing a customer with a chip scoop!! What a load of rubbish!

Wrong food, horrible sloppy batter on fish and a rude aggressive owner. Avoid at all cost. Mc fish is better than this garbage

Chips are lovely fish is so white and tasty

Unfortunately as we are advised didn’t bring cash and used a card in the current nationwide situation, only for owner to constantly moan that I wasn’t paying in cash and complain that he will close his card machine and it’s the last time I can use it. Food portions were small and quality was poor. Never going back, would prefer to queue in the cold at a better shop

Went to this place to find an aggressive owner who insulted me and was ready for a "fight". Also he ran out of the building to beat me, fortunately he is not good at running.
