This cafe provided afternoon tea for our group of approximately 18 children who were attending the Chelmsford escape rooms one weekend. I made the booking via the escape rooms and on the day, we were taken care of by the cafe staff, especially Justine. We hired the board room on the premises so as not to clog up the cafe due to our numbers. The platters, including sandwiches and wraps were fresh and very tasty and their service was 1st class.

The chicken wrap I got was so good, even the doner wrap my friend got- well season and made. I especially liked the wrap used, I’ve tried other kebab spot and I didn’t like the wraps that were used for the chicken wrap. Also the guys were really friendly and nice, great service! Will definitely go back, 10/10. I recommend.

Waited ages, people chatting and ignoring me, I was the only person in the queue in a quiet cafe. Finally left with no coffee after waiting 5 mins plus - pretty rubbish

I went with family, and sat inside, the tables need to be be cleaned and old food taken away quicker then they were, there is nothing worse then having to sit with dirty plates in front of you. Once the order was taken food came fairly quickly, I had fish and chips .the fish was lovely, although I did find a bone the chips were plentiful although some were discoloured which was a bit off putting, Overall it wasn’t bad and I’d give it another try. The price I thought was good.

Got severe food poisoning, so bad that my husband called an ambulance. I ate my usual Prawn curry on Thursday evening 10th April. The prawns actually looked smaller and harder than normal, and in retrospect, like they had been reheated. Not freshly cooked. I shouldn't have eaten them, but I hadn't eaten a thing all day so was hungry. Luckily I only ate half of them as they tasted a bit strange, and I had boiled rice. During that night the nausea and sickness started...then it escalated into the worst 24 hours of my life. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO UNWELL. IT WAS HORRENDOUS. It was so bad that paramedics came and said I needed to go to hospital. I was so dehydrated as I couldn't keep a sip down. I had diarrhea for hours and hours. I lost all feeling in arms and hands. My whole body was I agony, chest pain and I was FREEZING COLD with a fever. Whoever was the cook that night needs to be sacked. What I went through I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The hospital said it was shell fish poisoning. I hadn't eaten anything else since the day before. I've used this takeaway since 1998. This is the first time I've ever complained about anything. I'm genuinely concerned this doesn't happen to anyone else, as 4 days later I'm still unwell. Please take this seriously as this could kill someone, especially a child. Thank God my grandson didn't have any or god help you, I would not just be writing a complaint.

We decided to try this take away after seeing it in the ratings in the Essex Chronicle. We were definitely not disappointed! We have tried virtually every Chinese in Chelmsford and have finally found what we have been looking for - great food, served hot at reasonable prices!! Will be our regular point of call from now on and would recommend to everyone 😊😊😊

We come in here all the time and it’s always been pretty good. Last week though I had to return my coffee as it was cold which they happily replaced. This week they brought our hot drinks over and I then had to request the cakes we’d ordered which they’d forgotten. The girl did grab them but I had to go and find her as I’d ordered cream for my scone which was missing. I politely requested it and got a filthy look as she was so busy chatting to colleagues. She brought it over and slammed it down on the table and stormed off like it had been my fault she’d not brought it and I’d interrupted her socialising!! A bit of retraining required I think!!
