Rubin's is one of the best go to places in Harrogate, I've taken grandparents, friends and children. Always lovely good quality food. The staff are always lovely and give you a warm welcome. I decided to drop by after a dog walk spontaneously and they welcomed my dogs. I unfortunately had a lady comment how dogs shouldn't be welcome in restaurant. (Only one side of the restaurant is dog friendly) The staff handle it with making me and the other lady feel welcomed and respected. Always leave looking forward to going back.
Popped in whilst looking for a quick lunch. Very unusual setting for a tea room but works well with about 10 tables set up between the pews & the altar. The pews act as an overflow area if all tables are taken but we arrived as one was being vacated. Very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent value for money. Menu is limited to a choice of rolls, soup and a tempting range of homemade cakes & scones. Rolls could have improved if pickle, mustard or mayonnaise had been offered but the cakes & scones made up for this as they were very nice. The church itself is a delightful building and worth a visit in it’s own right. An interesting alternative lunch option.
Very sorry to hear that Jesper's are closing. The best place in Harrogate for service, atmosphere and food . Great new chef recently as well. Our go to place :-((
We had a fantastic Italian meal here last night and dined on the early dinner menu. I booked a table online and had really quick response to confirm booking.
The only reason this isn't 5 * is because the al la carte menu was the only menu handed to us when we sat down and I had to ask for the early dinner menu. Perhaps a simple mistake but certainly saved us a considerable amount of money having 4 to dine.
Would highly recommend the carbonara, it's probably the best I've ever had. Our kids took the bruschetta starters which were incredibly fresh and delicious.
The restaurant itself has a lot of stairs and is not disabled friendly unfortunately, it appears to be an old town house conversion. All in an absolutely excellent place for a meal and would highly recommend as we couldn't fault the food at all.
Brilliant, we arrived on a Sunday had a walk around the town, noticed this restaurant and really enjoyed our evening. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Best afternoon tea about! Mama Doreen’s never disappoints, the food is beautiful as is the fizz! The staff are friendly, attentive and extremely patient (when customers are being outright rude and difficult). Big shout out to Elliot who was amazing, thank you for making my mums birthday so special! Can’t wait to come back soon xxx
If excellence is the simple things done superbly well, then Hoxton North is the best example I know. The eggs ( anyway) are as good as I’ve eaten anywhere, great coffee, friendly laid back vibe, it’s not just the best in Harrogate, I’d wager it would be in the top 20 uk wide, and I’ve been cafe hopping all over this country for 40 years. Go!
