Jesper's Bar And Kitchen in Harrogate

Great place. Had a couple of lovely rasppery fizz drinks, that looked absolutely stunning. Ended up getting some food too. Calamari and then steak. Everything looked well posh, beautifully served and really tasty. The service was friendly and professional. Loved the place.

Me and my fiance came in for a few drinks and ended up having the early bird food menu and I'm glad we did one of the most amazing meals we've had this year compliments to the chiefs.

We stumbled across Jespers for a nightcap on our way home and had the pleasure to meet Jesper. What a lovely, friendly guy who took the time to come over and chat to us and curated me a cocktail to meet my tastes. It was perfect 👌🏼

We ended up coming across the place by accident but we left feeling really happy that we did. Excellent food, I had a fish finger sandwich and my husband loaded steak fries, both were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was very chill with varied awesome music and staff that couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely be back 😄

It was NYE. The staff were great v helpful with wine and really friendly. The NYE party after meal was really good with a live singer who knocked out some classics and music. Complimentary fizz at 1150 a lovely touch. Caribbean themed menu....unfortunately an off night for the kitchen in my opinion.

Spotted Jesper’s during the day on a 2 night visit to Harrogate with my husband. Decided it looked nice for a visit that evening… wow what a great place. Jesper had outstanding knowledge of wines, cocktails, spirits, food… we had fabulous cocktails, really fantastic wine, wonderful cheese and small plates plus a really fabulous Italian alternative to a Port that Jesper recommended. Such a relaxed place and lovely French jazz style soft live music really topped off the evening. Fantastic service and wonderfully friendly staff. Cannot recommend highly enough. 5+ stars

I have been coming here on and off this year since discovering it in Feb, but this most recent trip was thoroughly disappointing. The atmosphere was still lovely, but the service was average, and most noticeably the food has gone massively downhill. Usually I would thoroughly look forward to the food here, genuinely some of the best meals I've ever had, however this time, it was average at best. Not sure what happened but won't be returning for a while.

My wife and I had an amazing evening at Jespers on Saturday. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, including Jesper himself. We were offered a drink in the bar on arrival so immediately felt relaxed, unlike some other places where you’re told they need the table back at 8, before anyone has even said hello! When we were ready, we were shown to our table upstairs. I ordered the haddock scotch egg to start and the ox cheek for main. It was incredible!! And the wine pairing was superb. My wife had the mushroom baklava and the Thai style pork belly, which were also both excellent. (Sorry, I didn’t take photos). We finished off our evening in the bar, where we had a couple of drinks and soaked up the great atmosphere. All in all a fantastic evening and definitely our new favourite place to eat. A big thanks to Jesper and his amazing team.

Good but not astounding. Gastro food presented as Michelin star food with prices somewhere in between. Good quality ingredients cooked well, just didn't quite have the wow factor I was hoping for. Appreciate the good, short menu and they know their stuff about wine, but also afraid nothing appealed on the dessert menu. Sorry! Hopes are high so we'll probably give it another go sometime.

Definitely one of our favorite spots in Harrogate. Menu changes every couple of weeks so you can always try new things.

I second the previous reviews, we had a great visit, with starting cocktails and throughout attentive service, a couple of mains; duck and salmon were good, a bottle of red and a cheese board to share for a lite dinner. Will call again, just what HG has been missing for a long time. Thanks

Lovely chilled atmosphere in the garden with subtle music. Bar staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Alcohol free beer and cocktails as well as a delicious cheese platter with gf crackers. Perfect end to a day spent on the M1.

From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the friendly bar staff you know this place is going to be great. The range of amazing cocktails, devised by people clearly passionate about their work, are spectacular. The food served in the small upstairs dining room matches the quality of drinks downstairs. A small regularly changing menu means they make sure every dish is a taste sensation. I really can't recommend this place enough.

My friends and I visited Harrogate and wanted a good quality and vibrant restaurant that catered great food and fabulous cocktails. We found exactly that (and more!) in Jespers! I can not recommend this restaurant and cocktail bar enough. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, cocktails made to perfection and service was friendly and efficient. If you have good taste, this is the venue for you!

Where to begin! I visited a friend in Harrogate and we went to Jesper’s for dinner & drinks. Food was excellent (I had the monkfish tacos) & the presentation was beautiful. The cocktails were amazing. We ate in the garden out back & the atmosphere was lovely. We finished off with a drink in the bar area with friends we met there. Jesper & staff were very attentive & made us feel sooo welcome. Don’t hesitate to stop in here!!

When to Jespers while visiting a good friend. Amazing food and drinks! Jesper and his staff made us feel like long lost friends.. We will return next time we are in the UK!!!

Jespers is our favourite Harrogate restaurant for a reason. Food is amazing. Ask for the off-menu wine selection, you will not be disappointed! Just visited their newly opened back garden and its beautiful and perfect for drinks and dinner on these lovely summer days. Staff is attentive, friendly and always up for a chat. Love this place.
