Delicious food that I'll be craving til the next time I'm in Harrogate. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Really lovely restaurant for a chill evening with great food.

Dinned at Pranzo for the very first time. I had a great time at the restaurant with my friends. Compliments to the chefs: The food was good, loved the cannellini pasta filled with basil pesto and Tiramisu was a perfect dessert to end the Italian dinner. Really appreciate how Ms. Rose explained the dishes from menu and recommended the dishes to clear our confusion, thank you. Ms. Ella served us and looked after our drinks and table very well thank you so much for looking after us. Kudos to the entire team of Pranzo, Cheers! :)

At entrance I had the feeling entering a restaurant for professional footballers. Yet service and especially the food turned out to be excellent!

The food was fantastic, really good flavours with a great selection of cocktails and wine. Service great, talked us through the basics and later when we had questions the waiter covered the finer details. Cost was appropriate. Other Harrogate restaurants need to step up to reach this level of food and service.

Amazing food. Service brilliant and very clean and welcoming. Great with kids too. It's on the pricier side but think it's totally worth it for the quality of the food. The wild mushroom pasta was one of the best dishes I've ever had.

Disappointing. Had looked forward to trying. Goat’s cheese and beetroot starter delicious. Garlic bread very heavy and oily. Mains both not good; monkfish over cooked. Lobster ravioli very very salty, samphire not picked and very prickly. I love samphire but wouldn’t eat it again if based on tonight. Coffees luke warm, second attempt still luke warm. Waitress seemed offended that we didn’t gush about food. Table next to us had same experience with totally different options

Different, authentic Italian food. The cod cheek and guancarle (crispy pig cheek) starter was outstanding. Also very good vegetarian options. It was busy on a Wednesday night out of season so booking is recommended. Service was very efficient but also super friendly and personal. Will definitely return.

I visit Pranzo, often I’ve been regular there ever since it open. I like the set menus lunch always great. But would like to see it changed more often. The Flat iron steak was great. My family are also from the south of Italy would be great to see panzeretto on the menu it would go well with the Ichnusa. I Also really enjoy the Frito Misto with Squid ink mayonnaise. Great food, great front of house, great night. We received a nice welcome on arrival and taken to our table right away. The restaurant was busy. We were looked after by Abi. What a credit to the restaurant, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely helped us with our choices. We had arrancino and calamari to start. Both very good, calamari very nicely cooked. Mains of Beef ragu and cannelloni were equally good and well cooked. Potion sizes were generous. Would look forward to returning to try other dishes on the menu

We had a lovely meal at Pranzo a few weeks ago, it was the first time I'd been and we can't wait to go again. I had the lobster ravioli which was incredible, with a rich and creamy lobster, samphire and parsley sauce. But the thing we were most impressed with was the gluten free pasta and focaccia. My partner said it was by far the best GF pasta he's ever had, and the focaccia tasted just as good as a non-gf version.

Incredible pasta, I would go back tomorrow! Lovely hugo spritz and pistachio martini. The waitresses were so attentive and friendly. Such a great place.

what I saw in the kitchen was one big mess meat was prepared next to fish so you can be very surprised what they eat if you are allergic. I had a trial shift there and I think that people in the kitchen have nothing to do with hygiene and rules regarding food you can see a cook who smokes a cigarette enters the kitchen and does not even wash his hands. new people think they are useless and say that they used to work in a library it was a cook with long hair. the owner was very nice inviting me to a job interview everything else I think is one big mistake in terms of hygiene rules and preparation of food for service, I would think twice about going there for food I do not recommend.

Went in by chance having read reviews. First impression was the incredibly loud music, so asked passing waiter to turn it down, as diners were shouting at each other - interfering with the eating sensory experience. Waiter seemed irritated at my request. The decor where we were sitting was without character, using pictures of "family" to lend authenticity to the traditional food. Cutlery was cheap looking, one toilet was next to very steep stairs down to the kitchen, so interior not planned very well. Pasta dishes were good. Wine was good. Didn't expect service charge but left tip anyhow. Expensive for what it delivers as eating experience.

Everything about this meal was fantastic, slow cooked pork belly to start tender and do much flavour, pasta with beef Ragu was amazing , nice pudding, good wine, splendid service, couldn't ask for more.

Great aperitifs, lovely starters, great wine and service. If you know your pasta you know your pasta, had the shin beef and seafood pasta. The pasta was too aldente, couldn't taste fresh stock, had to compensate with salt, pepper and oil. The seafood pasta had frozen strips of calamari in it. Overall it was ok and we finished the meal off.

Came to Pranzo on Saturday night. The main course I had, the aubergine ragu with homemade gnocchi was definitely the best gnocchi dish I've had, so absolute applause to the chef on this one! The Bruschetta starter was a little bit disappointing and I've had better at other restaurants. We went on a Saturday night where there were a few tables available, but I think the let down this time was the service, it was incredibly slow. Felt like the B team was out that night. The party I went with said it's usually exceptional service here. We will still 100% be back, and as always review will be altered on the next time! However, the vibes, food and drink was good!

Food was nice but I had the lobster ravioli and it was more like a starter than a main course. Also very expensive and not happy that the 10% service charge wasn't optional. 2 people, 2 courses and the cheapest wine, not fulfilling and nearly £100. I must be getting old as it felt like a rip off.

I really fancied a cool refreshing beer with my meal but the selection of beers was poor and not well described in the menu and I ended up with two strange cloudy beers that were disappointing. If I want to try strange artisan beer, I go to a bar, not to an Italian restaurant. That was the disappointing part, the main event was our meal which was delicious, nicely presented and served by friendly staff.

Had a surprise birthday party for my wife and close friends last night, the food was amazing, the staff were absolutely brilliant and the cake they made for my wife was exceptionally good, the entire team are a credit to the restaurant and the fact that Rose always welcomes us with a hug makes it that bit more special. If you don't try this place out then you are truly missing out.

During a two night stay in Harrogate, we booked this restaurant as the reviews were mainly positive, and the menu looked appealing. It wasn't busy when we arrived, so we were seated straightaway. I had a garlic bread starter, which was very filling, and possibly a little salty. Not a good choice unfortunately. My partner had the bruscetta with nduja and mascarpone which was reported as delicious. For main course I had paccheri with nduja and fennel sausage which was really good with great flavours throughout. My partner had mafalde with king prawns which was excellent. The establishment really started to fill up in the latter half of our visit but sadly so did the noise with music being turned up and a couple of bigger groups adding to the level. I'm relieved we booked a relatively early time! Service was brisk and efficient and nothing seemed too much trouble. We left feeling like it was a bit of a mixed bag really. Prices are very high but the restaurant is in a smart area of town, and with a clientele to match. If we returned, it would possibly be for a lighter lunch. This place is good, but maybe not as good as it thinks it is.

Visited the Harrogate Pranzo - this is a very nice restaurant.The decor is very relaxing and different to most Italians we have been to.Whilst not exactly cheap the food is excellent, certainly not your usual fare found in Italian restaurants.

Big family meal for 9 here. Everyone loved their food. We're all pretty fussy and have enjoyed many sensational restaurants so we're not that easy to please.

We polished off our Easter with a bank holiday Monday lunch at Pranzo. It was my first visit of what I expect will be many. Truly excellent food - up with the best I have had in Harrogate over many years. The 5 of us all had a different pasta dish and all 5 were delicious. The starters were also immaculate and served beautifully. Truly excellent service - our waitress was brilliant. Super friendly, super attentive and just seemed to happy be there. Thank you! Truly excellent Aperol spritz - need I say any more? All in all, a 10/10 experience as a result of the food, vibe and service. Will be back. Thank you!

Home made pasta outside of Italy? I didn't thought it's possible. But I found Pranzo and I've changed my mind. I loved every single bite. Amazing dinner!

Dined here today with two friends. Lovely warm welcome, great ambience, and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the light lunch menu which was extremely good value for money. The mussels I had for starter were the best I've eaten. We'll definitely visit again. Many thanks!

First time to Pranzo in Harrogate, have been to the one in Ilkley a few times. It didn't disappoint. Can I just start by saying how excellent the service was, so hard to get even a little service let alone excellent service these days. Attentive, kind and engaging - well done. The food was delicious 😋 the crab salad starter superb. Great wine, great atmosphere, great food, service, great time. Thank you.

Highly recommended. Attentive staff. Managed to accommodate us even without a booking which was really appreciated. Amazing atmosphere with amazing food. Staff asked us about any allergies. The pasta was delicious!! Drove from an hour away to try and they beat my high expectations.

I am absolutely disappointed with the service of this restaurant. We sat outside wanting to order food. The table was dirty with dried food stains as well as quite dusty from the traffic. This disgusted me to order my food after the cutlery and napkin were placed on the dirt. The wait staff did not come to ask us if we wanted more drinks. After our disappointment, I had to wave so that someone would come and give us the bill and we could leave. I shared our disappointment with the lady I paid. I will not come again and would not recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful meal out at Pranzo .The food was super .The lobster arancini ,wild mushroom ravioli and beef pappardelle were particularly delicious and memorable . The wine was great and a wine tasting with Max to help decide which wine to have was super ! The service was excellent .Our waitress Ella M was friendly ,knowledgable ,assured and professional. We went on a Tues with 7 people and the place was full of atmosphere with our server Jade who also was Manager. She recommended some amazing dishes but all our group were very impressed. Great place amzing food.

Friday evening booked late for a 5:30pm table - stayed till 10pm. Lovely food, welcoming staff. We moved from our table to the bar afterwards to chat for longer, with no pressure to leave. A thoroughly enjoyable evening made even more pleasant by warm friendly staff. Thanks Pranzo.

An excellent Italian restaurant. The food was superb (as with the other restaurant in Ilkley) and the service polite and discrete. Reasonably priced (just over £100 for a 3 course meal for two with a couple of drinks). My new favourite place to eat in Harrogate.

We had an early evening booking, so the restaurant wasn't too busy. There was a lovely friendly welcome as we arrived and were shown to our table. The interior is tastefully decorated and there's a good use of available space, without it feeling cramped. Service was excellent throughout. Attentive, friendly, and suitably professional. We were asked about dietary allergies before ordering. The menu is predominantly pasta orientated. Which isn't a bad thing, just don't expect pizza. The garlic bread starter wasn't the best choice as it turned out to be blocks of bread - tasty but too much for a starter. The main course was delicious, although a little too salty. Portion sizes are about right, based on the richness of the dish. I was surprised by the 10% service charge on the bill, especially as the prices are already on the high side and we were not a big party. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Just been for a meal, both of us are vegetarian and got the cannelloni and tomato and mascarpone. Food was really delicious and great portion size. All the food tasted fresh and clearly made with great care and attention. The staff were lovely too and the service was quick! Definitely recommend if you’re visiting harrogate

Booked this place quite a while ago and had to push the booking back even further forgetting I had booked a table outside. Temperatures weren’t on our side for outside dining so the staff did everything they could to accommodate inside dining. The staff were absolutely amazing and a special thank you to the young chap behind the bar. He was very knowledgeable on his wines and helped us pick the one we’re we’re looking for. Food was top notch and I would recommend to anyone wanting top Italian food. We even asked about in the bars in the afternoon and all the locals said Pranzo was easily the best Italian in town. I haven’t eaten in the others but I think it would be very hard to beat.

Remember to add your burrata. Lovely foods and good service.

What a great place. The food was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful freshly made pasta - you could tell the food was made with love. I had the Wild Mushroom & Ricotta Ravioli, with Truffle Butter, Crispy Sage, Garlic, Pangrattatto, Parmesan, & Burrata which was amazing. We all loved it, including our 3 kids (15, 13, & 11). A great kids menu too including Pizza garlic bread with melted mozzarella, tomato & parmesan, which went down an absolute storm with all of us. We booked heated outdoor seating as all tables inside had been booked, but when we arrived they had found some space for us inside in the back room. Perfect for a family of 5. Great customer service. If you don't mind paying a decent price for outstanding food then you must visit. You won't regret it. If I'm ever in Harrogate again I'll be going back without a doubt.

A treat , especially if pasta is your thing.

Came with my partner for her birthday last night. Staff were very attentive, all the food was fantastic. Given a selection of wine to taste based on our preferences which was a very nice touch. The pistachio cream sponge cake was fantastic but lacked enough of the raspberry sauce, we were given a large serving of the sauce when we asked for some more which was nice. Couldn't fault anything, fantastic service, fantastic food, great atmosphere 10/10. Even got a birthday card which was a lovely touch.

Went for a family meal. The food was excellent. The service was also very accommodating. My niece and her husband brought their 16 month old daughter and the staff brought a suitable high chair quickly and with no fuss. They also included her by chatting with her, as she was on the resteraunt side of the table. The food was delicious. Hot, plentiful portions and quickly delivered. It was raining and we ate early, because of my great niece, so the windows steamed up and we were in the back room on our own for most of the time, so atmosphere was a bit lacking. As we were leaving more customers arrived and the atmosphere was getting going, the tables outside were also filling up, and there was a lovely atmosphere outside too.

Received many recommendations to try this place so decided to try it out. The food was nice enough but far from amazing as I had been told. I had the (I) bruschetta with nduja, (II) the Mafaldine with king prawns, and (III) tiramisu. The starter was good but could have done with some more honey and balsamic. The Mafaldine was average - the pasta was overcooked, the sauce did not have much flavour and the king prawns were normal prawns and there weren’t that many of them. The tiramisu was poor. It was very liquid almost as if they had not used mascarpone or let it set properly. Long wait between main and dessert. Quite expensive for an average meal.

The staff were really friendly and the food was very tasty. However the portions are very small: there were only 6 pieces of truffle ravioli, despite paying £17. Also, we were put in a room by ourselves for the majority of our meal, despite tables being available elsewhere where there was more atmosphere.

Staff were attentive,friendly and polite. Our food arrived quickly and was super hot,only negative was the music that was being played...it was like a radio 1 weekender and quite loud. Far too hectic for a chilled early evening meal. Other than that,lovely meal 🙂

Came to see our daughter as we live in Wales. This is our 2nd time at Pranzo as a treat from her. It's the most amazing restaurant with fabulous food and fabulous staff. I wish I could take this restaurant home with us. Until the next time, thank you Pranzo for a wonderful lunch.

Started with a beer from Cold Bath Brewery made for the restaurant. Only did in 2/3 pint. Had to had two. Had a sausage brushetta that was very nice. Had a bit of kick to it that set it apart. The main was beautiful and could not finish it. The service was spot on, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Will bring the whole family back. Highly recommend.

Laid back family run Italian restaurant using good quality ingredients. The service was amazing, I wasn’t able to eat sugar or yeast and they a) didn’t make me feel bad and b) went out of their way to accommodate me. Thank you!

Absolutely blown away! Went for the first time last night and the place was really busy for a Wednesday and we can see why! Started with a lovely welcome and drinks prior to being seated. Atmosphere was great and we had some lovely cocktails to kick off. The food was sensational! The chicken livers starter was insane! We also had the burrata which was incredibly creamy and delicate. For mains I had the seafood bigoli, you could tell all the seafood was fresh and the pasta was the best I have ever had in my life. My husband had the lobster ravioli and was so happy he didn't speak to me for the entire meal, he just kept making yummy noises and giggling. We had to have dessert too and we recommend the pistachio sponge dipped in white chocolate- it was a revelation. Big shout out to the chefs- you are doing some amazing work and we will definitely be back.

The place is nice, the staff incredibly friendly and the food tastes excellent. So, why only 3 stars? Everything about the main course is the same size as a starter. Except the price.

I have been 5 or 6 times and Pranzo is a fabulous restaurant. The service is very courteous and professional but not overly formal. I think the staff must be trained well and morale seems very high. The food, and the pasta in particular, is wonderful, decent portions at a sensible price.

Took some friends from London to Pranzo for lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome and looked after by the friendly, experienced staff. Inside, the restaurant is clean and elegant with plenty of space around the tables. The family photo's on the wall showcase Prenzo's heritage and ethos. We couldn't fault the food. A well chosen selection of meat, fish and vegetarian pasta dishes from family recipes, perfectly balanced and seasoned. The pasta is hand made daily and the garlic bread and polenta chips make great sides. Nonna's lemon and pine nut tart is a must have! Nice wine list, with recommendations and the option to sample before choosing. Even the Londoners were impressed! It'll be a regular venue from now on when people visit.

My meal was very tasty but there were issues. We were the first people in the restaurant, but the service was pretty slow. My mushroom ravioli was rather flat, rather lacking in mushrooms and the portion was really rather small. I pointed this out and the serving staff said I would understand the portion size, if I knew how long it took to make!? Excuse my ignorance. Did let the waiting staff know that I was still hungry after the meal and they said they'd let the kitchen know. An offer of a free pud or a bit of discount would have been nice but wasn't forthcoming.

Great italian restaurant with authentic family feel. Fabulous staff who were very attentive, the free tasting of various wines was a lovely touch. We managed 3 courses which were all full of flavour and memorable. What ever main you have we highly recommend a side order of Deep fried polenta chips with truffle mayo...delicious

What a great place! Very helpful staff bending over backwards for a challenging garlic allergy which ended in a very tasty solution. They even allowed us to sample 3 diff wines to ensure we were happy! Happy to highly recommend.
