Delicious food, excellent friendly and professional staff - highly recommend Pranzo.

Couldn’t fault the service, the waitress and waiter were attentive and friendly and knew eveything on the menu, the food was delicious and good value, I highly recommend.

It was a birthday meal and it was superb... the flavours were amazing and foccacia bread out of this world.... Had a wonderful hostess in Charlotte who gave us a wonderful insight into the choices including the wine. We will be back.

I visited Pranzo last with my best friend for a friend date last weekend and I just had to leave a review. The experience hasn’t left me throughout the weekend. The food, ambience and service was incredible. Honor spoke us through all the wines in option and really helped us pick the best wine for us. Ella helped us with all our queries about the menu too! Genuinely such a lovely lovely experience.

We’ve been coming here for years and can honestly say this is the best place to eat in Harrogate - Matt and his team go over and above to make every visit a fantastic experience. Incredible food and great service. The team on the bar are also always spot on with the cocktail recommendations! Many thanks to all the staff for another lovely New Year’s Eve meal.

Awful !!! Never order a lasagna from here, tastes like mush…would recommend you stay home and avoid sadly.

Standards have slipped! The food we ordered was a terrible standard, lasagne for £18 with minimal meat in is a disappointment, as a restaurant that prides itself on good quality pasta this was an embarrassing display, sloppy and definitely not fresh. Also, to order drinks and not receive them before your meal arrived and then have to sit and eat without getting them was also very poor. Will not be dining here again. The staff seemed unbothered by their lack of standards and happy that they disappointed a table of people.

We came here back in August (sorry it's taken me so long to post a review) for my sister's wedding celebration & it couldn't have been more perfect! Martha & Abbie our waitresses couldn't have been more attentive & amazing and the manager that evening did everything he could to make it extra special! Thank you so much guys for making the experience so fantastic and next time I'm in Harrogate I will be back :)

When ordering a glass of red wine, I was asked "Would I like a large glass". This is not the question the service staff should be asking. It whiffs of up-selling. I specifically said I wanted a medium glass. As I don't drink much, the extra alcohol made me feel unwell later on. Can you please make sure your staff deliver what has been ordered to avoid situations like this in the future.

It was the best place I have visited in Harrogate, also i lost my mind when I eat braised beef cheek dauphinoise! It was the best dinner I have ever had. 5 out of 5 with all!

Fantastic food and excellent friendly staff

An absolutely delicious meal here for a 40th birthday celebration. Loads of choices on the menu and everyone enjoyed their dishes. My garlic bread and ndjua pasta dish was awesome.

Dinned at Pranzo for the very first time. I had a great time at the restaurant with my friends. Compliments to the chefs: The food was good, loved the cannellini pasta filled with basil pesto and Tiramisu was a perfect dessert to end the Italian dinner. Really appreciate how Ms. Rose explained the dishes from menu and recommended the dishes to clear our confusion, thank you. Ms. Ella served us and looked after our drinks and table very well thank you so much for looking after us. Kudos to the entire team of Pranzo, Cheers! :)

At entrance I had the feeling entering a restaurant for professional footballers. Yet service and especially the food turned out to be excellent!

The food was fantastic, really good flavours with a great selection of cocktails and wine. Service great, talked us through the basics and later when we had questions the waiter covered the finer details. Cost was appropriate. Other Harrogate restaurants need to step up to reach this level of food and service.

Disappointing. Had looked forward to trying. Goat’s cheese and beetroot starter delicious. Garlic bread very heavy and oily. Mains both not good; monkfish over cooked. Lobster ravioli very very salty, samphire not picked and very prickly. I love samphire but wouldn’t eat it again if based on tonight. Coffees luke warm, second attempt still luke warm. Waitress seemed offended that we didn’t gush about food. Table next to us had same experience with totally different options

Different, authentic Italian food. The cod cheek and guancarle (crispy pig cheek) starter was outstanding. Also very good vegetarian options. It was busy on a Wednesday night out of season so booking is recommended. Service was very efficient but also super friendly and personal. Will definitely return.

I visit Pranzo, often I’ve been regular there ever since it open. I like the set menus lunch always great. But would like to see it changed more often. The Flat iron steak was great. My family are also from the south of Italy would be great to see panzeretto on the menu it would go well with the Ichnusa. I Also really enjoy the Frito Misto with Squid ink mayonnaise. Great food, great front of house, great night. We received a nice welcome on arrival and taken to our table right away. The restaurant was busy. We were looked after by Abi. What a credit to the restaurant, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely helped us with our choices. We had arrancino and calamari to start. Both very good, calamari very nicely cooked. Mains of Beef ragu and cannelloni were equally good and well cooked. Potion sizes were generous. Would look forward to returning to try other dishes on the menu

We had a lovely meal at Pranzo a few weeks ago, it was the first time I'd been and we can't wait to go again. I had the lobster ravioli which was incredible, with a rich and creamy lobster, samphire and parsley sauce. But the thing we were most impressed with was the gluten free pasta and focaccia. My partner said it was by far the best GF pasta he's ever had, and the focaccia tasted just as good as a non-gf version.

Incredible pasta, I would go back tomorrow! Lovely hugo spritz and pistachio martini. The waitresses were so attentive and friendly. Such a great place.

what I saw in the kitchen was one big mess meat was prepared next to fish so you can be very surprised what they eat if you are allergic. I had a trial shift there and I think that people in the kitchen have nothing to do with hygiene and rules regarding food you can see a cook who smokes a cigarette enters the kitchen and does not even wash his hands. new people think they are useless and say that they used to work in a library it was a cook with long hair. the owner was very nice inviting me to a job interview everything else I think is one big mistake in terms of hygiene rules and preparation of food for service, I would think twice about going there for food I do not recommend.

Everything about this meal was fantastic, slow cooked pork belly to start tender and do much flavour, pasta with beef Ragu was amazing , nice pudding, good wine, splendid service, couldn't ask for more.

Went in by chance having read reviews. First impression was the incredibly loud music, so asked passing waiter to turn it down, as diners were shouting at each other - interfering with the eating sensory experience. Waiter seemed irritated at my request. The decor where we were sitting was without character, using pictures of "family" to lend authenticity to the traditional food. Cutlery was cheap looking, one toilet was next to very steep stairs down to the kitchen, so interior not planned very well. Pasta dishes were good. Wine was good. Didn't expect service charge but left tip anyhow. Expensive for what it delivers as eating experience.

Great aperitifs, lovely starters, great wine and service. If you know your pasta you know your pasta, had the shin beef and seafood pasta. The pasta was too aldente, couldn't taste fresh stock, had to compensate with salt, pepper and oil. The seafood pasta had frozen strips of calamari in it. Overall it was ok and we finished the meal off.

Came to Pranzo on Saturday night. The main course I had, the aubergine ragu with homemade gnocchi was definitely the best gnocchi dish I've had, so absolute applause to the chef on this one! The Bruschetta starter was a little bit disappointing and I've had better at other restaurants. We went on a Saturday night where there were a few tables available, but I think the let down this time was the service, it was incredibly slow. Felt like the B team was out that night. The party I went with said it's usually exceptional service here. We will still 100% be back, and as always review will be altered on the next time! However, the vibes, food and drink was good!

Food was nice but I had the lobster ravioli and it was more like a starter than a main course. Also very expensive and not happy that the 10% service charge wasn't optional. 2 people, 2 courses and the cheapest wine, not fulfilling and nearly £100. I must be getting old as it felt like a rip off.

I really fancied a cool refreshing beer with my meal but the selection of beers was poor and not well described in the menu and I ended up with two strange cloudy beers that were disappointing. If I want to try strange artisan beer, I go to a bar, not to an Italian restaurant. That was the disappointing part, the main event was our meal which was delicious, nicely presented and served by friendly staff.

Had a surprise birthday party for my wife and close friends last night, the food was amazing, the staff were absolutely brilliant and the cake they made for my wife was exceptionally good, the entire team are a credit to the restaurant and the fact that Rose always welcomes us with a hug makes it that bit more special. If you don't try this place out then you are truly missing out.

During a two night stay in Harrogate, we booked this restaurant as the reviews were mainly positive, and the menu looked appealing. It wasn't busy when we arrived, so we were seated straightaway. I had a garlic bread starter, which was very filling, and possibly a little salty. Not a good choice unfortunately. My partner had the bruscetta with nduja and mascarpone which was reported as delicious. For main course I had paccheri with nduja and fennel sausage which was really good with great flavours throughout. My partner had mafalde with king prawns which was excellent. The establishment really started to fill up in the latter half of our visit but sadly so did the noise with music being turned up and a couple of bigger groups adding to the level. I'm relieved we booked a relatively early time! Service was brisk and efficient and nothing seemed too much trouble. We left feeling like it was a bit of a mixed bag really. Prices are very high but the restaurant is in a smart area of town, and with a clientele to match. If we returned, it would possibly be for a lighter lunch. This place is good, but maybe not as good as it thinks it is.

Visited the Harrogate Pranzo - this is a very nice restaurant.The decor is very relaxing and different to most Italians we have been to.Whilst not exactly cheap the food is excellent, certainly not your usual fare found in Italian restaurants.

Big family meal for 9 here. Everyone loved their food. We're all pretty fussy and have enjoyed many sensational restaurants so we're not that easy to please.

We polished off our Easter with a bank holiday Monday lunch at Pranzo. It was my first visit of what I expect will be many. Truly excellent food - up with the best I have had in Harrogate over many years. The 5 of us all had a different pasta dish and all 5 were delicious. The starters were also immaculate and served beautifully. Truly excellent service - our waitress was brilliant. Super friendly, super attentive and just seemed to happy be there. Thank you! Truly excellent Aperol spritz - need I say any more? All in all, a 10/10 experience as a result of the food, vibe and service. Will be back. Thank you!

Dined here today with two friends. Lovely warm welcome, great ambience, and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. First time to Pranzo in Harrogate, have been to the one in Ilkley a few times. It didn't disappoint. Can I just start by saying how excellent the service was, so hard to get even a little service let alone excellent service these days. Attentive, kind and engaging - well done. The food was delicious 😋 the crab salad starter superb. Great wine, great atmosphere, great food, service, great time. Thank you.

Highly recommended. Attentive staff. Managed to accommodate us even without a booking which was really appreciated. Amazing atmosphere with amazing food. Staff asked us about any allergies. The pasta was delicious!! Drove from an hour away to try and they beat my high expectations.

I am absolutely disappointed with the service of this restaurant. We sat outside wanting to order food. The table was dirty with dried food stains as well as quite dusty from the traffic. This disgusted me to order my food after the cutlery and napkin were placed on the dirt. The wait staff did not come to ask us if we wanted more drinks. After our disappointment, I had to wave so that someone would come and give us the bill and we could leave. I shared our disappointment with the lady I paid. I will not come again and would not recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful meal out at Pranzo .The food was super .The lobster arancini ,wild mushroom ravioli and beef pappardelle were particularly delicious and memorable . The wine was great and a wine tasting with Max to help decide which wine to have was super ! The service was excellent .Our waitress Ella M was friendly ,knowledgable ,assured and professional. An excellent Italian restaurant. The food was superb (as with the other restaurant in Ilkley) and the service polite and discrete. Reasonably priced (just over £100 for a 3 course meal for two with a couple of drinks). My new favourite place to eat in Harrogate.
