The best restaurants serving Default food in Driffield and Rural East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Lovely food and ambience what more can you want. My lamb three ways was a dish that I would certainly enjoy again especially the rolled crispy fat and meat element, very tasty.

Took the wife for her birthday breakfast, how disappointing. Wife not a big eater so only had toast, egg, bacon, mushroom and tomato. I had standard breakfast (no tomato). Both breakfasts still charged at £10 each & with 2 coffees total cost was over £26. Wife’s breakfast came with one mushroom and half a cold tomato (is that a thing?). My breakfast, well where to start? One mushroom (advertised on menu as mushrooms) I then used half of my one slice of toast to put my egg on, then took a spoonful of beans (beans as cold as they come from the tin). Breakfast returned, returned back on a new plate with previous breakfast and now some warm beans. However toast had already soaked up previous cold beans and I also found the sausages dry. Would I go again? Not a chance. Was it busy? No (only one other couple in). When we left, no staff to be seen, behind the counter or in the kitchen.

Literally such a brief stop (3 mins max) due to late trains, so didn't take in the pub aurroundings, but the beer was good! Made the train back btw.

As always, beautiful fish n chips, with Yorkshire caviar (that’s mushy peas to those of you not from Gods own county!) Huge portion that beat both me and hubby! Batter on the fish was crispy n melted in the mouth. There’s a reason this place is so popular.

Popped in for a drink. Very warm and welcoming staff. Pub was very clean and drinks very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

Just ordered a take away tonight we have had numerous takeaways and have been spot on..today, unfortunately, had a massive long hair in meal totally off-putting, which made me feel sick

Some what lacking in atmosphere! No music.Depressing.Ordered a toasted tea cake but barely toasted! Could do with brightening up bit .

The Deluxe "a bit of everything" salad box is absolutely amazing, it weighs about a kilo. Photos don't do it justice, will definitely be making this a regular 😁

Good local Garden Ctr ,very helpful staff and reasonably priced

Great value for money. Stayed in a family room. Very clean, decor lovely, well equipped with hot beverages, biscuits, bottled water & toiletries. Tv & sitting area. Great central location, friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast & just really good value for money. Definitely visit again if in the area. Car park next to hotel £2.50 for 24 hours.

Ordered a takeaway through just eat 2 years ago which arrived so late it was almost cold. Decided to give them a second chance today. Ordered through just eat at 6pm. Given a latest delivery time of 7.05 pm. By 7.20 no show. Rang them. Driver hadn't turned up. Chef was out delivering and assured us it was on its way.. 8 pm came around, rang again. They hadn't even started to cook ours! But were prepared to cook it now! Forget it. We had ordered food for our 2 grandchildren who had now eaten what we could rustle up as it was past their bedtime! Our son was over from Sweden, going home tomorrow and looking to enjoy a curry which they can't get locally there. Disgusting service. They don't deserve custom. They won't get a third chance. They didn't even have the courtesy to ring us. Just left us sitting here waiting!!!!

The best gelato, coffee and more! Service was superb too, lovely visit and was able to takeaway! Heard it was dog friendly too but best to double check.

Unfortunately the kebab and mixed kebab weren’t very warm and the kebab meat was so bitty and crispy. Wasn’t very nice and most of it went in the bin. Disappointed.
