The Deluxe "a bit of everything" salad box is absolutely amazing, it weighs about a kilo. Photos don't do it justice, will definitely be making this a regular 😁

After seeing the update that pudding wraps were back on the menu, got one on market day! I was not disappointed. Good size, packed with chicken, sausage, stuffing cranberry sauce and gravy. Hot and tasty, well worth trying before they disappear again!

I was a patron in their old premises and am even happier to be their customer in their new place. The food is always freshly made and their salads are always on display so you can see the quality. I have always enjoyed my food from sandwiches to salad bowls. The only downside for me, is that the coffee is from a machine so no decaf available. But does that take away from the quality?? of course not.

Been going here for nearly 2 years now and it's hit and miss on service depending on who you get. Sometimes visit are warm and welcomed however sometime you are made to feel unwelcome. The other day I went and spent nearly £20 in store and the service I received was just awful. I was made to feel like scum as they had to stop their natter. Half the order was forgotten and when I asked if I had been charged for what I asked for as I did not receive it the lady bagged it up and all but threw it at me. I left feeling angry and confused as to why the women was so rude. My sandwich was made with so little care. The taste of purfume was in the bread and overall it was just awful. I will not return again and it's a shame because the younger women are polite and the women with blonde long curly hair is also OK. However the lady with long dark hair has just lost that store a customer for good. Such a shame.

The incredibly fresh bread is crammed with any thing that takes your fancy within reason into doorstep thick slices with salad additions as required. Packed in recyclable greaseproof sheets then a paper bag these tasty sarnies are just the job for a picnic lunch or snack.

Popped in here on our way home from a walk around the town. Usually a good selection of sandwiches, salads and cakes, as we have used their services when on their old location further down Mill Street. Today we just fancied a slice of cake as a treat. Not many for selection today: just a very nice bakewell tart and a Victoria sandwich sponge. We both chose the bakewell tart and were not disappointed. Good value for that special treat; just wish there was more cake to choose from!

We came here today as was passing through. This was the best decision of the day. There was four of us. Two of our party were elderly. 88 and 90 years old. Access into the property was easy and the space between tables was fantastic as you don't feel you are being crammed in. The 90 year old headed straight for the toilet and was so impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet that was his talking point for the first 5 minutes. We ordered from the Sunday roast menu and had the 3 meat one. The quality and the quantity of food (all very good) was the next discussion. The lady who served us was called Jean. This lady was so nice, polite, helpful and experienced that it made everything go smoothly. They then had puddings and thoroughly enjoyed them. This has made their day and are so happy that we came across you.. Keep up the absolutely fantastic work and we will return soon.

The only review I can do on this place, is to say I've been trying numerous times to book a room, but after calling them at least 7 times and leaving a message, no one has responded I've also emailed them and nothing back. We're just trying to book a room as we received a gift voucher for xmas, so this is the only review I can do, unfortunately, who knows maybe one day in the future I might be able to review ye old red lion. Lol 😆 🤣 😂

If I were to recommend a perfect village pub to someone from overseas that ticks every box, I would pick the St. Vincent Arms. Like the bar in Cheers, everything is spot on. Food is excellent, local ales are banging and well priced - the Old Peculiar was gorgeous at £5 or so a pint. Service is friendly and genuine. If I could give 6 out of 5, I would. Every community in England should have a pub like this!
