Very nice food and great prices. We ordered for 4 hungry people and only £50 if we ordered from someone else it would be atleast £65

I am already obsessed woth their takeaways but their fresh food is even nicer! Fabulous service, clean restaurant and bring your own alcohol. We had chicken shawarma wrap ( oh my goodness! Out of this world) hubby's fave chicken jalfrezi, rice, cheese naan and chapati and children's nuggets and chips. Clean plates all round. Cannot recommend highly enough

We walked into an empty restaurant on a Friday evening, and assumed we were therefore in for a really poor meal. We moved to Driffield 2 weeks ago and this is the second curry house we have tried. This is by far our favourite. The food was fresh, presented nicely and arrived in good time. The prices were also reasonable. We didn’t realise it was a BYOB and the only option for soft drinks was full fat coke. We know for next time and will certainly return. The gentleman and lady were both very polite. The only thing that could be improved is some background music as it was somewhat lacking in atmosphere. We ordered chicken jalfrezi, chicken bhuna, pilau rice and a garlic naan, all absolutely delicious!

I start by saying that was one off the best takeaway I've had since I moved here 4 weeks ago ,it was fresh, tasty and plentiful, arrived with in the time they said delivered by a nice polite chap ,price was OK, think I've found my regular takeaway, thanks for such a lovely meal

We've been to all 3 and although not perfect this is better than other two. We visited this evening - Tom had a potato chat starter - it was ok. I had popudums & pickles. Cold but fresh popudums and bought in pickles with bland mint yoghurt sauce. Main course: Tom had Bhuna Shashlik - it was good came from a skewer served with large chunks of onion, which were undercooked. Pilau rice was very nice. I had Balti tikka masala - the chicken was really nice, the sauce was ok but had undercooked onion in it. I asked for a garlic naan - came cold smothered in oil and raw garlic - it wasn't nice. The place has real potential but needs some music to create atmosphere and in the winter months some heat, because we were cold. Pleasant staff who keep the place lovely and clean and try hard to make the guests happy.

Ordered take out // pickle tray only got yogurt and salad apparently dont do any other sauces no red sauce and run out of mango chutney still got charged for it but didn’t receive it naan bread was stone cold I have been told chicken dishes are marinated over night to give better taste but in there case marinated from pan to delivery bland is is a nice way to put it. If you like tasteless food soggy onion barges and cold naan bread then this is the place for you.

Called in on the off chance for a curry after the fireworks where we gave up trying to get food as the queues where a good 45 minute wait. Great meal as always, thank you.

Cannot fault the food or service here. Lo g time favourite takeaway locally, the food is great. Favourites for us include butter chicken, tandoori chicken, coconut rice, peshwari naans to name a few, as well as onion bhaji, mixed kebabs, tarka dhal and so many others well worth a visit!

We phoned to see if they would deliver to the showground we were stopping at with friends in our caravans. Nothing was too much trouble and our order was delivered at 7pm as we asked. All 4 of us agreed it was the BEST INDIAN TAKEAWAY we had ever had and very very reasonable prices too. We can highly recommend Tawa chicken or the Vindaloo if you like it spicy or Butter chicken or Rezala Tajpuri if you want it less spicy but still with amazing flavours. Whatever you order I’m sure will be superb.

Excellent as always, even under new management! Ordered over phone and ready to collect withing 30 minutes. Lamb bhuna, butter chickens, special fried rice, onion rice peshwari naans and pickle tray and poppadoms. Butter chickens were slightly different as new chef, but all good. Piping hot and plenty to go round! We will be back.

During the pandemic Silsila has given us much needed boosts with it’s delivery service. The quality of food has been excellent throughout and we’ve enjoyed some super meals. Their delivery staff are always friendly and continue to wear masks which is a comfort to us. We look forward to visiting the restaurant in person once we feel able.

Always excellent food from here. My son collected our takeaway, which was ready on time and we enjoyed a change from our usual dishes....chicken chaat for starters and a murg mukani, coconut rice, peshwari naan and poppadoms. Good sized portions, piping hot and very tasty!

Had a lovely meal from here, had prawn bhuna & mushroom rice & my husband had a veggie option, we both really enjoyed it & would definitely order from here again. Came within the hour despite it being b hol monday. Would def recommend 👍🏻

In the absence of eating in a restaurant, this was our choice to treat my husband on fathers day. Butter chicken, lamb balti, coconut rice, naan bread and poppadoms.. Fest fit for a (king) dad! Cant wait to be able to visit, post lockdown!

We always enjoy our Indian from here as it is always good food however after the last 3 times ordering on just eat the time has been delayed by half a hour at least and then the delivery is at least 20 mins late!! Means we actually end up waiting nearly 2.5 hours for a delivery from ordering. Maybe time to start using the other Indian in town.

Very good food one person I was eating with didn’t really enjoy the chicken tikka marsala sauce. But that’s just a personal opinion. Apart from that the food was great and the spice was exactly as we expected and flavour was gorgeous. I would definitely recommend... Hits the spot...

Ordered a meal for the family and my chicken tikka korma arrived with only 4 small pieces of chicken. When called to complain was told that I am I liar. Will never use again. Have used many times before. But obviously now don't care about quantity or customer service

Love the food from here. Staff are always friendly and the food fresh and tasty. Tonight was no expecting: butternut chicken, tandoori chicken, bhuna, rice and naan bread. We all enjoyed our meals, and this is a reason why we keep on coming back for more!

If you are a Coeliac you have to avoid Gluten. If this is the case then I would advise you to steer clear of this restaurant. One individual I know rang them to ask if the food ordered was Gluten free. The reply was that it contained milk and cream which contained Gluten. On being told that milk or cream do not contain Gluten the individual was rudely told that it did contain gluten and that "he had done all his certificates" and milk and cream do contain gluten. Trying to explain that Gluten is found in Wheat, Barley and Rye, the person started being rude and abusive at this point.

Arrived at 7pm and weren't too impressed with the decor. The meal was passable although the prawn puree pancake was very thick and not cooked properly. The main meal was ok, 3 stars, no more.

We hadn't been to Silsila for too long and opted for a takeout. just a large array of different starters packed in a box for us. Prompt service despite being busy, and delicious. My only gripe, and a small one, was that the pastry encased samosas were packed in with the other items rendering the pastry somewhat soggy.

My son & his friend took me out for a meal to celebrate my birthday & we were really hungry.Great welcome, it was quiet being a Wednesday, but that was fine we enjoyed ourselves. Food was really good, portions a good size & we weren’t rushed. It was not over priced & was worth it! I have had a few takeaways which I felt were not brilliant, but recently they have got better. But eating in-house was definitely much better than the takeaways. I’d definitely recommend them.

My son treated me to a takeaway from here one Saturday evening. Service and delivery excellent. Food freshly cooked and piping hot. Cannot fault the food here and throughly enjoy meals in the restaurant and takeaway. Takeaway is restaurant quality, and this is why it is always a winner. Family favourites include tandoori chicken, butter and korma chicken with naans and rice all excellent.

I love curry and have eaten them all over the UK and in India so I am so pleased to have the Silsila near by. I have eaten here regularly for the past two years and have never been disappointed. Explore the starters and vegetable side dishes along side the curries. Subtle flavours are there to be found in complex dishes. Friendly, welcoming people run it and look after you well.

We've used Silisila on a number of occasions now having found it by accident on our way back from Hull one day. The food has always been very, very good and they have things on the menu other than the normal Westernised dishes.

We came here for a takeaway after getting back late from holiday. Always excellent food and tonight was no different. I enjoyed tandoori chicken with plain rice, salad and a naan bread, my husband and done, the butter chicken, coconut rice and pashwari naan. Lovely.

Been meaning to go for months to this old pub turned indian

We’ve had several takeaways from this Indian restaurant in an old pub and this was our first time for eating in. We were well pleased.

Have had nicer curries from Iceland frozen foods.. had chicken tikka one night from here which I can only describe as Heinz tomato soup with about 4 pieces of chicken thrown in

Quality food every time we come here, whether it is to eat in or a takeaway. A takeaway was our choice on this occasion, and we were not disappointed. Butter chicken, tandoori chicken, coconut rice and a range of naan breads. Cooked to order and ready for collection on time, we all enjoyed our chosen dishes.

We turn up mob handed, 19 adults and 5 young children and have a fabulous evening with Simon producing a culinary delight the quality of which I have not sampled for a long time. Butter chicken, chicken passanda, vegetable bhuna and lamb kalo are a sample of the dishes we ordered and enjoyed. We visit Driffield on an occasional basis and will certainly be visiting Silsila again, and again, and again . . . . Thoroughly recommended.

For some time we have eaten in, but on this occasion considered a delivery but eventually opted to collect. Service was prompt, food hot, generous portions, tasty dishes. and prices very competitive.One gripe, the vegetable stuffed paratha-wasn't. It was quite empty, a slip up I'm sure!

Always good food, whether it is in the restaurant or a takeaway. This time was a treat from my eldest son (although he would eat here every day!). Ordered through Just Eat, ordering is easy and we have never had any problems with our orders this way. Favourite dishes ordered we relaxed until it was ready and collected in super quick time! Butter chicken, tandoori chicken, coconut rice, nan bread and even a side order of chips and poppadoms! All perfectly cook, hot and tasty! Worth a visit anytime!

We recently visited....it has been some months since we were last there. Different...the place is still very clean, tables all looking good. But, when we arrived there was a table already eating, apart from one more couple the place was not busy...we had not booked and were shown to a table....some time before we were asked if we wanted a drink. Some time before we were asked for our order. I asked for the salmon dish, I was told there was none, but would I like to try a prawn dish (next one down from the salmon) o.k. I ordered. When my order came I got chicken!! I know mistakes happen of course, but the place was not at all busy....I wonder why. After really enjoying our previous visits there, the atmosphere is not the same...seems to be losing its mojo.

We visited after the Christmas light switch on in Driffield. Great freindly warm welcome from staff and a lovely fire burning creating a cosy atmosphere. Food all came very quick and all tasting fresh and well cooked. Great choices for a vegetarian. Will definitely visit again .

When we arrived we were sat down where take aways are collected, no greeting, seemed to have difficulty finding our booking. We were sat at a very non atmospheric table. The waitress then came and asked what we wanted to drink, no menu offered. We asked whether drinks were available to which she replied 'Carling, cobra or wine' The service was totally unprofessional, at this point we said we were leaving because if the front of house is so poor it makes you worried about the food. The management needs to train it's staff

My son and I ordered a sneaky takeaway from here last week (husband and other son not in). Butter chicken tandoori chicken, coconut rice with garlic naan bread. Our go to favourites! Early delivery, friendly staff and always good. Love this restaurant!

Several of us dined together at a table specially set up for us. Service was really good, my only gripe being rather watery chutney and a shortage of meat in the main courses. Very tasty but a bit more substance please! Otherwise a really good evening.

Always consistently good. We ordered our usual dishes: tandoori chicken and butter chicken with a side of coconut rice and a keema and garlic naan bread. The delivery arrived early we were ready we were ready for this! Hot and tasty, we soon finished our dishes. Freshly cooked and packed in foil trays to keep it hot, we always look forward to food from here!

This is a really friendly restaurant with great food. The staff are good too and attentive . The staff are eager to help with the menu and cook to individuals taste which is nice. Portion size is very good but not over the top.

Having eaten there probably have a dozen times in recent months, this is as good an Indian restaurant as any I have dined in anywhere in the world - and markedly superior to most.

I have eaten here on several occasion; on my own and with family and friends. Staff are friendly and want to help. I can say that all but one meal I have had and the many take aways have been excellent. When you order a particular dish it will be reasonably authentic - certainly the curry dishes here does not taste all the same or have so much chilli they cease to be enjoyable. I can really recommend the Bhuna and vegetable rice. Even those who are not particularly fans of Indian cuisine can find something to enjoy here.

I must say I am a great lover of Indian food and I am extremely fussy where I eat. That said I found a great Indian takeaway in Hornsea (Curry Express) that did not look good from the outside but the food and service was absolutely fantastic. I am not a snob! Anyway Curry Express has now closed and left me with a huge dilemma. Sonali Spice in Hornsea was not brilliant. Saffron at Bridlington are good. I decided to look further afield and found Silsilsa in Driffield. It had absolutely fantastic reviews so thought we have to give it a go. I was in Driffield yesterday so ordered a takeaway. The service, the staff, the menu (including duck for my other half) and the prices were great. We ordered the mixed starter for 2. It was nice but nothing special. We also ordered chicken madras and duck rogan josh. The chicken madras was diabolical. It was watery, had no flavour at all and was totally bland (no heat all) the duck was not much better! I will say I was totally disappointed after the reviews I had read. I definitely will not be visiting again!!!! If anyone knows of a stunning Indian near the Hornsea area (we are prepared to travel 4 good food) please let me know.

Third visit to Restaurant. Lovely welcome from staff. Comfortable layout in what used to be a pub. Food very tasty and plentiful without being overfaced.

Have just been to Silsila again and as usual it was absolutely brilliant.The owners and staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of our favourite eating places in the area. The food is gorgeous.

A little while since we last visited and there have been some changes. Sadly the original streak seems to have sunk to lower levels, filling but definitely not exciting any more. Nothing green at all offered -well -salad was offered and accepted but did not appear. With the local competition in Driffield Silsila really needs to up its game. We would welcome any improvement on a very average experience.

I visited this Indian restaurant with my husband recently. It has a lovely feel to it - decorated in red and orange with subtle mood lights. The staff are very friendly but not over-imposing - you are left to enjoy your meal but they make sure you are looked after.

We always enjoy the dishes from here and this week was no exception. Keeping it simple, we enjoyed butter chicken, duck tikka masala and coconut rice, with a selection of naan breads and poppadoms. All piping hot and delicious, with generous portions. Restaurant quality dishes at takeaway prices.

This Indian restaurant is situated in an old public house building, so it has its own car park in addition to on street parking available outside.

I believe that the owners of this quite recently opened restaurant formerly had a takeaway in Driffield which we used on a number of occasions with great results. Since Silsila was opened we’ve had a couple of takeaways, delivered free, and they probably weren’t up to the standard we had expected.

Just had a very good takeaway meal Moghul Jaipur, special fried rice and cheese, garlic and onion nan. Came with cucumber raitha and small onion salad. Good value at £12.75 and plenty for the two of us.

We have eaten in and had a few takeaways which we ordered using the just eat website, food always arrived at the time stated give or take a few minutes so not bad going - food has always been spot on not had any issues, would recommend to others

We had a fantastic meal here and easily a 5 star rating. The food was exceptional and the staff were extremely professional and courteous. We couldn't fault it in any way. My only disappointment is I should have gone months ago! Well done to everyone involved in the establishment and it's great that such a high quality restaurant is right on our doorstep in Driffield.

Visited not long after it was opened. Booked a table and was just having my first sip of wine when the bottle was wisked away. We were told we were at the wrong table and was taken to the bar while they prepared a make do table. Apparently they had just taken a booking for 8 people so they needed our table. We had already ordered our meal and was a bit put out as we were sat next to the bar with people sat next to us waiting for a table. We couldn't find our wine which had been left on the bar and had to ask for serviettes. Not the experience I had imagined. Felt very uncomfortable . Ordered,I think it was called a Kas curry with lamb and broccoli and mushroom rice. I was amazed when it arrived. It was just green mush with hardly any sauce and the mushroom rice was very dry. Couldn't eat it. Told the waiter who then took it away. Never offered me anything else and still charged us for it. On the way out , the waiter asked if we enjoyed the meal so I told him no. He said if we go again he would give us a discount. Don't think so. You get two stars because my husbands meal was really nice but I went home hungry and angry.

Tried a takeaway from this restaurant before we visited. Pickle tray and spicy poppadom was tasty and enough. My Tika Masala was tasty but I would have preferred a little more chicken etc in my dish other than a lot of sauce.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night with family. The food is extremely tasty - they go for flavour, rather than trying to blow your head off!

this is our second visit and as before the food is fab. There is a nice welcoming atmosphere and no waiting. The staff are very attentive and the dishes are served quickly and hot. The menu is well thought out and varied. If you have any issues with certain foods, they are addressed and other choices are offered, which is a huge plus. The reason for the title of my review is due to simon and ahmed, the 2 waiters. They are so funny and endearing and the whole evening was a hoot. I enjoy this sort of interaction when dining out, it makes the evening much more fun. I can see this indian restaurant gaining popularity as a pace and hope it continues to become known as a place to spend a few hours of delicious food and entertaining staff.

We came here for a end of the week dinner with our youngest son. We have been before with friends and family several times since it opened. Each time we come, we have not been disappointed. While making our selection we indulged in poppadoms and pickles, yum! On this visit we opted for chicken passander, chicken korma and chicken tikka with coconut and special fried rice and plain naan bread. All were served professionally by the staff who are keen to make sure that the meal is served hot and that we enjoyed it. Worth a visit to give this menu a try.

Whenever we are on a home exchange we tend to eat out and with each trip we find one eatery which stands out above the competition. Silsila is that place. From the smiley waiters to the relaxed atmosphere to the sublime food, it just excels.

We first visited this restaurant when it was newly opened and it was very quiet. As the evening wore on several people came in to eat or collect takeaways. The staff are charming and attentive and service wasn't rushed, and the food fresh and tasty. Since then we have had several takeaways, always hot and flavoursome. Unfortunately on one occasion I found a hair in my curry, but that could happen to anyone.The menu is extensive and imaginative and the venue very pleasant.

Me and my partner have ordered a few takeaways from here. They get delivered to us piping hot (as we are over 2 miles away) and always within the hour. So pleasant to deal with and such a good menu to choose from! Would defiantly recommend x

When it on a Friday evening, 7pm. Got a table no problem. The staff were great and friendly, chatting and asking how the meal was. The meal was fantastic. Everything was hot and very tasty. Most indians have soenthing that disappoints, but all the meals, starts and sides were lovely. Had 2 takeaway from here around Christmas, they were very good, but the food is much better in the restaurant. I though the pricing to be very good as well, starters seem a couple of quid cheaper than Scarborugh indians and better quality.

This is a restaurant that has recently opened, the guys having run the local take-away. The first time we went, the service and food was superb, but being new, we wondered if this would last. Well we've now been five times and everything is still brilliant. The food is really tasty, and not oily. The chefs are very accommodating and the staff attentive. Give it a try.

We were a party of six who had a lovely meal here. The food is lovely.
