The best restaurants serving Default food in Penistone East Barnsley Yorkshire and The Humber

It's a long time since I had a proper Sunday lunch. The food was lovely. We will definitely be going back

Enjoyed some good pints of Bradfield Farmers beer. Very friendly bar staff and so efficient! Very dog friendly. Great pub. Will return when staying in the area.

Very busy had to wait for a table. Ordered salmon and one steak pie. The chips have changed ….quite odd really s they were like our local chippy chips….same smell, dry …but these were meant to be hand cut chips. Certainly not like the chips we have had here before. Salmon dish….potato and no seasoning and came with a cold lemon sauce on the side. I asked for the lemon sauce on the side and I’m glad I did as it was foul. It was meant to have a pesto too but that was lacking. Coffee nice. Been here a few times, this cost just under 50 altogether with drinks and a cake box. We won’t be rushing back .

We go most weekends for breakfast and a look round the garden centre. Really nice place, and friendly staff.

Let's be truthful here, walked in my room, mold rust snot and empty wrappers under the bed . In 3 rooms this has happened in. Food in their restaurant next door was worse. This place is horrendous

We called in on Sunday night and had THE most delicious meal. The food was so fresh and the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be back!

Brilliant pub for a Chilean Chardonnay after a Tombola. My friend Tim loves the entertainment in the reception. Staff are very hands-on but beware dinner ends at 8:20

Fantastic food and service again here. We went for steak night and it was great, amazing value for money especially given the location. We will certainly be back here very soon.

Lovely family meal and beer, all very reasonably priced. Great decor throughout and amazing view too. This is a proper pub!
