Visited today with my Dad, we enjoyed a cup of tea and the gorgeous Manchester Tart! We were assisted by Paola who was so lovely and helpful and smiled! Some of the other waiting staff were unbelievably miserable.

Today I had the worst sandwich. I need gluten free bread which was available. Often gluten free bread by its nature is made in small slices. That's OK I accept that. But Todays sandwich had virtually no filling. I had ordered mozzarella pesto and sundried tomato. It had enough tomato a mere hint of pesto and the mozzarella had said hello to the bread but had left just as quickly. At almost £13 it was very disappointing. I wanted to complain but didn't want a fuss so didn't.

What a let down! We recently booked in for the supper club after visiting the farm. After spending a fantastic day on the farm and experiencing great service at all other aspects and superb service and quality of food at the other eateries on site we expected so much more. The service was very slow. We ordered drinks from one person, but they explained that someone else would take our food order. We found this a little strange and perhaps part of the reason the service was so slow. I ordered the Sirloin steak for main course which had a £5 supplement. When it arrived it looked great. Generous portion size and looked nicely seared on the outside. I'd ordered it "medium" but I was very disappointed as it was totally overdone and ruined in my opinion, compared to how I like my steak. I'm kicking myself now as I should have sent it back and got a new streak. My drinks waiter did offer this when he visited our table after 20 mins , but as I'd already waited over an hour for my food already and I didn't want to wait that long again, so I didn't take him up on the offer. I wanted to discuss my complaint with the main food waiter or Maitre'd, but they then avoided our table as they knew we weren't happy. I actually felt sorry for the drinks waiter (Callum) as seemed to be left to deal with us as soon it was apparent there was a problem. We did have the £5 supplement removed from our bill, but to be honest I don't think I should have paid at all for my meal as it was so poor. The sourdough bread that I had with my starter was also quite stale and this was the same for the flatbread which came with my wife's main course. Overall this was a very disappointing experience compared to the rest of the things at cannon hall farm. We were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours and only had 2 courses. We were going to have dessert too, but as my main course was ruined by an overcooked steak and the service was painfully slow we decided to leave (once they eventually brought our bill). I'd definitely avoid this restaurant if I ever visited again which is a shame as the rest of the eateries on site are very good. A poor show from the White Bull on our visit.

Came for Father’s Day breakfast, waited 40 minutes for drinks and an hour and a half for very poor quality poached eggs on toast. Service was appalling and when we challenged the manager about our wait she didn’t seem interested! In my opinion this place has got way too greedy caring more about what’s going in the till rather than customer service, we will not be going back!

visited cannon hall café white bull restaurant for breakfast a couple of weeks ago, I must admit it was one of worst breakfasts I ever had and the cost cannot be justified at all. the large cooked breakfast, fried eggs wasn't cooked, the toast was harder than cardboard, the eggs benedict was supposed to be poached eggs but more like boiled, the service by waiting staff was rubbish with no care at all. I shocked to notice that they charge over £6 for beans on toast! the policy on refill coffee needs reviewing as well. as I asked for refill @11:32 and the café worker refused stating the cut off point was 11:30am for refills, to say that was supposed to be good fresh produce from the farm itself the expectations were met to be good, and this wasn't. me and my family left cannon hall café extremely disappointed and wont be coming again any time soon.

Paid £9.50 for beef and onion sandwich with gravy. Beef was good but the bread was like a cheap Asda’s own brand bap. The accompanying onion rings were rock hard with a slither of onion - could be they’d fallen down the back of the oven 14 years ago and only recently salvaged to complete this order. Chips ok but lot of chips scraps at bottom of the bowl. Nice enough place but had much better here in the past.

They're pretty easy The hash browns were very disappointing, they didn't look fresh they were crisped up from sitting in a warming tray I think. Even the small one wasn't so fussed. Slight confusion over tea/coffee. I read it as a free one with any spend over 5.50 but it's a free refill not the tea/coffee itself. Staff were alright. Quiet morning as it was midweek not weekend when you'd expect more visitors ergo more likely to be fresh food. Alas we will be back as I love the veggie lasagne! And chippies

White Bull Farm is a mediocre zoo with two terrible restaurants attached to it. This is a business, where a few animals are on display, not a farm at all. After COVID the restaurants lost anything good they had on the menu. No more steak, no more grill, just some processed and frozen dishes like the ever tasteless burgers, prepackaged sandwiches and a few other even less appealing options you can find in any pub without a cook. The road to the "FARM" is very narrow, 1.5 lanes and accident prone due to overgrown hedges. Overall, the establishment is the equivalent of a £2 microwave frozen dinner with a flashy plastic wrap.

My friends all had hot sandwiches.. which were great. I had a salad.. with the 'roast vegetables etc' which was disappointing. This was an assembly meal .. like 70s school dinner ! Just slices of salad ingredients dumped on a plate .. roast peppers.. out of a jar ! Pile of sundried tomatoes ... heavily (ready made) dressed main salad .. nothing imaginative or inspired about it. Shame .. it'd be very easy to produce something much more appealing visually, texture and taste wise... and at £15 overpriced. Also .. no fresh orange juice 'we can't buy the oranges ' ... really?? Pop into the Farm shop .. they're selling both oranges and freshly squeezed juice !!

In August my wife and I ate here. My meal was a burger which was fine. My wife ordered the southern fried chicken burger, advertised as a burger. Usually a chicken burger like this is a slice of chicken breast in seasoned breadcrumbs.. When the food came my wife’s burger consisted of 4 tiny overdone chicken goujons. When we queried this with staff, we were told it is goujons for the chicken burger, not chicken breast. The funny thing is the shop on the site sells chicken breasts. When we got home I emailed the Restaurant, at Cannon Hall Farm. No reply was received. I emailed them again on 19th August, one week later. I received a reply stating a manager would contact me ASAP. I waited until 19th September as I hadn’t from the Restaurant I emailed them again, and received a reply that stated it would be prioritised for someone to contact me re the points I raised. To date a week later I have not heard from the Restaurant. To my mind this is disgraceful customer service. It makes me think all they want is the consumers money, without providing the service to go with it.I still await a reply from this establishment.

Perfect, each ingredient on the plate was well chosen for quality and flavour, and perfectly prepared. The picture is the Farmer's Breakfast, the full English, there are various alternatives available. Spacious, well-preserved venue, well worth a visit.

Popped in for a cuppa and some tray bakes. Had to wait for a while in doorway for someone to come out and organise us a table. It wasn’t busy at all. Would have preferred to order at table to help prevent people moving around too much. Good selection of cakes and tray bakes. Very young staff but they seemed fine.

What a great experience we had here today. We arrived with our excited 5 yo and our 7 week old twins and all of the staff were superb in looking after us and being kind. Our 5 yo told one of the staff that she was really looking forward to trying to see Farmer Rob and Dave. About 10 minutes later that lady brought through Farmer Rob to say hello and have a quick chat. It was unexpected, above and beyond and it made our little girls day. Thank you so much 😁

Went for lunch with my husband found staff young but polite, tea pot leaked all over tray and just went downhill, beef and onion sandwich very soggy, pie and peas very small portion glad we both ordered chips, pie just didn’t taste right. I have visited this establishment many times before and food has always been lovely. We spent over £25 which isn’t a massive amount but considering we ate hardly anything. Spoke to manager we were eventually refunded £15 which I wasn’t happy with but I wasn’t about to stand in the restaurant arguing. So it cost £10 !!!! For a latte, a couple of sips of tea and a couple of sips of coke. I emailed Richard directly but as far as he can ascertain food was around £12 he didn’t ask about any sides and even though appreciates customer feedback he believes we have been compensated. Very expensive experience and we will not be returning this has put me off visiting cannon hall all together which is a shame as we also visit the butcher and deli counter regular. Looks like I’ll be going to Blacker Hall Farm shop and cafe from now.

Very nice food, queues not too bad (30mins) despite CV19 social distancing implementation.

Completely ruined the menus. No longer any options for vegans. Hopefully it's just a temporary menu. Embarrassing otherwise.

We enjoyed; Sunday Roast – Beef (£16.50) + Chicken (£15.95); both served with mash, Yorkshire pud, duck fat roasties, honey-roasted carrots & parsnips, cabbage, stuffing and gravy (GF gravy available) – these were served on massive plates so it looked like there wasn’t much, but there was definitely ample amounts. Everything was cooked to our liking and no complaints. We were definitely full afterwards. NOTE – other meals coming out of the kitchen looked like MASSIVE portions including Kids meals, something to bear in mind. Bakewell Tart with Custard (£7.50); a massive portion and lots of creamy custard. Really enjoyed this 🍰 We pre-booked a table but there’s lots of room to dine here, so I think walk ins would be fine. We enjoyed the food and drinks and the staff were friendly and welcoming. In total we spent £54 for 2 Sunday roasts, a dessert & 3 pints. The Pub has a large menu including Lunch and an Outdoor Menu. There is limited options for Vegans, but more choice for Vegetarians. They also offer a Bottomless Brunch Monday to Saturday 12pm – 5pm, 2 hours for £34.95 AND they offer a free meal on your Birthday here as well. Opening times: Mon & Tues 3pm – 8pm, Wed to Sun 12pm – 11pm

Something was wrong with my food maybe the bread or eggs was off. So I ordered a smoothie bowl instead which was just okay. What annoyed me was I was made to pay for the 1st meal. When I went to pay I was then only 10,000 short (0.50p) and had to hunt down a cash machine for 20 minutes, Very very poor service. Learn from this
